Chapter 110
Chapter 110:.
She felt guilty.
Jessica Lennon was hesitant. Before, she wouldn’t have hesitated and would have agreed with him.
Now that Jessica had promised Dolores Flores that she wouldn’t push her and wouldn’t even set Sampson up too. Jessica couldn’t bring herself to agree to it.
“I have to call and ask Lola about this matter.” Jessica said as she walked over to pick up the phone. Sampson held up the phone, “Just lunch. No need to ask her. I brought my car here.”
Jessica relented. She was afraid Dolores would feel bad about making that decision.
It wasn’t easy for Dolores to raise the whole family by herself. Jessica didn’t want her daughter to be sad.
“Come on. We’ve known each other for so long, do you still distrust me?” Sampson stood up.
Jessica glanced at the time. It was only ten o’clock and it wasn’t even time for lunch. “Would it be too early to eat now?”
“The restaurant I’ve booked is pretty far from here. By the time we get there, it will be noon. It’s not early at all.” Sampson struggled to convince Jessica.
To this point, it wouldn’t be good for her to turn Sampson down again. Jessica had no choice but to accept it, “Sit on the couch and wait for me. I’m going to get both kids ready.”

She untied her apron and walked into the bedroom.
Samuel Flores was sitting at the window with Simona Flores in his arms. She was teaching him how to draw with the tablet.
Dolores gave Samuel the tablet and the phone to call his teacher, he could also play.
Jessica picked up Simona. Simona was still in her casual clothes and needed to change.
Samuel leaned back on the fluffy cushions, playing with the tablet on his knees, and asked, “Grandma, why change Simona’s clothes, are we going out?”
“Yes. You… Sampson said he wants to take us out to lunch.” Speaking of Sampson, Jessica thought of her son.
Samuel sat up suddenly, blinking, and looked at Jessica, “Grandma, what did you just say?”
Jessica then patiently repeated his words.
Samuel put down the tablet and hurried to the peephole in the doorway. He opened the door slightly and peered through. Sure enough, he saw Sampson there, sitting on the couch with a bandage on his head.
Samuel remembered the video he had seen on Matthew Nelson’s phone. It was about the chase of Dolores.
He had never seen his mother so scared and helpless.
Samuel clenched his hands tightly, “What a two-faced liar.”
Sampson seemed like the right person on the surface, but secretly, he was actually stalking Dolores.
“What are you saying?” Jessica turned and glanced at Samuel, who was muttering to himself in the doorway, “Do you want to change clothes too?”
“No need.” Samuel replied in a cold voice. Did he want to have lunch?
No way.
He didn’t want to have lunch with Sampson.
Who knew if this hypocrite would kidnap them to threaten Dolores.
At the thought, Samuel felt chilled with fear.
“I have to pee.” After saying that, Samuel rushed to the bathroom and locked himself inside.
What was he to do?
How could he stop Jessica from dating Sampson, without Sampson finding out?
Samuel sat on the toilet seat, feeling anxious. Suddenly, he remembered that he had Matthew’s number and dialed it…. WY Group.
Another stranger was in Matthew’s office.
This man was a friend of Matthew’s.
The last time he went to the KS Club, he was the one who rented the place and had invited Matthew.
But then Matthew found Dolores who was almost raped, and didn’t go.
This guy was still on his mind.
Armand Bernie scoffed as he walked in, “Haha, I never thought you might need my help someday too, after being stood up by you. What are the odds of that?” When he got the call, he thought he’d been misheard.
Matthew didn’t even bother to argue with him, “The evidence and the plaintiff are here.” To file a lawsuit, a lawyer must know all the details of the incident.
He had to justify the availability of the evidence.
Armand curved his lips, “This has gone too far. You’ve hired some of the best lawyers in my firm as your company’s legal professionals, and now you want me, the boss, to file a lawsuit for you personally?”
Huh…
Armand then realized that the person in the suit sitting on the couch was not a man, but a woman.
He cocked his head as he walked over to the couch and glared at Dolores, “This is your ex-wife, right?”.
When Matthew and Dolores married, Armand was studying abroad and was not in the country at the time.
Later, Dolores had left again.
So they had not met before.
She received word from Abbott Baron that Matthew’s ex-wife, who had divorced a month after their marriage, had returned.
“I missed my chance last time. This time, I got to see her right, which Matthew is fond of.”
And indeed, she was stunning.
Armand approached Dolores, but was suddenly tugged by the collar of his shirt, “Get to the point.”
“Hey, don’t take it like that, what if you burn the bridge, do you still want me to help you?” Armand backed up a few steps after being dragged away by Matthew.
Being stared at, Dolores ruffled her hair to disguise her awkward moment.
Terry Holmes stood with his jaw unhinged to the side. He couldn’t believe that the president of the WY Group was Dolores’ ex-husband.
“Matthew, that’s not the way you behave. I’ll have to have a word with you. We shouldn’t…”
“I hear your grandmother is looking all over for you. Do you want me to tell her you’re here right now?” Matthew let go of his shirt collar and scoffed.
Armand, “…”
What a threat.
“Hmm?”
“All right, all right. I’ll do it. okay?” Armand really wanted to slap himself for making such a friend.
Armand yelled to Terry, “Hey, what’s your name?”
” Terry Holmes.” Terry smiled.
“Pff…hahahaha…”
Armand burst out laughing, “How did they give you that name?”
Terry, “…”
What could he do about it? His name was given to him by his parents.
“Come on, come on. Tell me more.” Armand was an easy-going and vivacious person.
And he was far removed from Matthew.
How could two people like that be friends?
Terry frowned faintly.
The office fell silent again as Armand left.

“He’s your friend?” Dolores broke the silence.
“Yes.”
“Is he a lawyer?” Dolores hesitated as he didn’t look like one.
As for lawyers, she thought they were strict and severe.
But Armand was so active and lively.
How could such a person be a lawyer?
“How did they become friends? Dolores was curious.
Matthew walked over. The phone on his desk rang when he just wanted to talk to Dolores.
“I’m going to take a call.” He walked over to his desk and picked up the ringing phone. ‘Little brat’ appeared as the caller ID.
Matthew had only met this brat three times, but the brat had ‘surprised’ him twice.
He was quite impressed.
So he had purposely given her that name.
Matthew answered the call as he looked up at Dolores.
“Hello?”
“It’s me. The bad boy has come to my house. He said he wants to take us out to eat. I think he wants to kidnap us and threaten my mother.”
