The Forgotten Titan's Resurgence

Chapter 14

Their mockery made Elara turn red, and she grew even more disgusted with Gideon.

He was useless, but he still behaved so arrogantly! What an embarrassment he was!

Elara was already regretting bringing Gideon along.

Matthew laughed and said, "Since Mr. Snow here insists that someone will come to pick him up, let him be. We need to hurry because the visit to Beaker Island has a time limit."

Everyone scurried off.

Just as Gideon was about to make a phone call, it hit him-there was no one at the villa!

Leopold had previously offered to arrange some household staff for him, but Gideon had declined. Now, there was really no one who could come to pick him up.

Gideon cursed under his breath. He'd dug this hole for himself, so he had to see it through, no matter what.

He called Leopold, and 15 minutes later, Leopold drove up in a rush.

"Get in the car, sir!"

"Sorry for troubling you," Gideon said.

"Please don't say that. It's my honor! Sir, why don't I arrange a few beautiful maids for you? It would make life a bit more comfortable."

"No need. I prefer peace and quiet. Women would only disturb me while I train." "Alright, then."

Leopold was speechless.

The car sped down the road, and within moments, they spotted Matthew's group. The bridge to Beaker Island was fairly long, and they were still many yards away from Beaker Island as they took breaks from time to time.

"A car's coming!"

"Wow! It's a custom-made extended Rolls-Royce! That's got to be worth millions of dollars!"

"Look at the license plate number-66666! That's worth more than the car itself!"

"Whoever owns this car must be a prominent figure! Could that person be living on Beaker Island?"

Matthew was excited. "Let's catch up to the car! It would be such an honor for us if we could meet someone like that. If they were to favor us with even a small token, it would be immensely valuable to people like us."

Inside the car, Gideon saw the group madly running through the rearview mirror and smiled. The women in high heels had taken them off and were running barefoot. The scene was quite comical.

"Sir, are those people your friends?" Leopold asked.

"Nope!"

"Should I get rid of them?"

"No need," Gideon said, shaking his head.

Leopold dropped the matter.

The car stopped in front of the villa, and Gideon said, "If you're busy, you can head off now."

"Alright, sir. If you need anything, just give me a call. I'll be right over."

After Leopold left, Gideon entered the villa, opened a bottle of red wine, and sat on the couch. As he put on some relaxing music, he felt utterly serene.

He couldn't be bothered about Matthew, Elara, and the others. He had come back to Beaker Island for some rest. He had no interest in mingling with a bunch of insignificant scions.

Meanwhile, Matthew and the others finally reached Beaker Island.

"Matthew, should we head straight to that villa in the center of the island that looks like a palace?" someone asked.

"No. That would be too intrusive. Let's explore the island first."

They wandered around the island and eventually reached the central area, where they saw the grand villa.

"Goodness me! This is the most beautiful and extravagant villa I've ever seen!" "It's like a palace!"

"Who on Earth lives here? Even the government has designated this area as a restricted zone."

Though nervous, the crowd couldn't resist moving closer to the villa. Finally, they arrived at the front door.

"Matthew, knock on the door! We might get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to enter the place. That would be amazing."noveldrama

"Yeah, it would be unforgettable!"

Though Matthew was nervous, he was also eager with anticipation. He gritted his teeth and made his decision.

Just as he was about to ring the doorbell, a rumbling noise came from behind them.

They turned to see a heavily armored Jeep speeding toward them. Three people stepped out-two guards and a woman dressed in military uniform, exuding an air of strength and confidence.

It was none other than Lavinia, Benny, and Derek.

"What are you doing here?" Lavinia asked sternly.

She had come to the island earlier that morning but hadn't seen the person she was looking for. In an effort to show her sincerity, she also returned in the afternoon.

"Matthew, that woman looks really familiar. I feel like I've seen her somewhere before," someone whispered.

"Oh!" Elara suddenly gasped. "Are you Ms. Lavinia Mosley, the war hero? I saw her on television before, and you look exactly like her!"

"Lavinia Mosley?"

Everyone had a look of realization.

This woman, accompanied by bodyguards, looked identical to the only female war

hero of Dasovia. It had to be her!

Lavinia nodded. "Yes, that's me."

Immediately, everyone saluted and reverently said, "Greetings, Ms. Mosley!"

"There's no need for such formalities," Lavinia said as she waved them off.

Blushing, Elara said, "Ms. Mosley, you're my role model! You're so amazing!"

Lavinia smiled. “Not at all. I'm just a normal person. So, what are you doing here? Beaker Island is a restricted zone."

Matthew said, "Ms. Mosley, I received permission from the government to visit Beaker Island. Here's the documentation. Please take a look."

Lavinia glanced at the papers. "Alright. You can visit the island, but do not approach the villa or ring the doorbell."

"Why not?" Elara couldn't help asking before quickly realizing how rude it was for her to question Lavinia. She hurriedly apologized, "I'm so sorry, Ms. Mosley. I spoke out of turn."

Lavinia replied, "It's fine. Actually, it wouldn't hurt to tell you. The person living in this villa is a world-renowned figure, Dominic Zeller, also known as the King of

Battle."

"The King of Battle!" Elara and the others exclaimed softly in awe.

Lavinia's eyes gleamed as she continued in excitement, "Mr. Zeller is also my role model. He's a great patriot who has quietly made many contributions to our

nation.

"But two years ago, he suddenly retreated into isolation. I only recently learned that he has been living in seclusion here."

The group now understood the situation. This explained why the island was a restricted area-the villa housed a legendary figure..

They were filled with admiration and respect. Anyone who could earn the respect of Lavinia had to be an extraordinary person.

Matthew said, "Ms. Mosley, when we arrived, we saw a Rolls-Royce heading into Beaker Island. Mr. Zeller must have been in that car. He's probably in the villa right now.'

Lavinia quickly approached the villa's front door, took a deep breath, and rang the doorbell.

There was no response.

Unwilling to give up, Lavinia rang the doorbell a second time, then a third, then a fourth...

She refused to accept this. Was she supposed to leave without meeting him again?

The situation at the border was becoming increasingly tense, and Tylland was making moves. She needed to convince Dominic to come forth once more.

"Mr. Zeller, please stop hiding and open the door. Even if you don't want to come out of seclusion, we could still sit down and talk, maybe even become friends. Is that too much to ask?"

Lavinia sounded a bit aggrieved. After all, she was a war hero herself. Yet, she had come twice now, and Dominic refused to even open the door for her.

After a minute, there was still no response.

Matthew and the others felt their scalps tingle. Dominic had to have quite the ego to ignore someone like Lavinia.

Sighing deeply, Lavinia figured she wouldn't be succeeding today. Dejected, she turned to leave. But just then, she heard a creaking sound behind her.

The door... opened!
