The Ex-Wife's Burning Elegance

Chapter 715

That was certainly possible.

After working in upscale boutiques for so long, she'd seen her fair share of wealthy women.

But someone as young and stunning as Stella? That was a rarity.

Honestly, she couldn't help but imagine—what a dream it must be, to be doted on by someone so young and gorgeous.noveldrama

Oblivious to the sales associate's musings, Stella continued browsing through the racks, her attention flitting from one display to the next.

Just then, a familiar voice drifted over from a few aisles away.

"Haynie, I finally managed to escape and asked you out to catch up-why so serious? You have no idea just how devious that creep Sellers is. He tried to set me up with some shady business scheme, thank God Foreman saw through it. Otherwise, my old man would've had my hide again."

Stella turned toward the sound and spotted three familiar figures standing by a shelf.

Rachel spoke gently, "Haynie, you've always loved this brand, haven't you? Since we're here, pick out a few pieces—I'll treat. Jasper, you should grab something too."

Rachel had noticed that, aside from his custom suits, nearly all of Haynes's clothes came from this very store. According to Keen, it was Stella who had picked them out for him.

As soon as Rachel heard Jasper was off house arrest, she'd coaxed him into helping her get Haynes out for some shopping.

Haynes looked cold and withdrawn, but in the end, he said nothing.

Meanwhile, Jasper was rifling through shirts, grumbling non-stop.

"That freak Sellers even tried to pin the car crash on me—claimed I tampered with his brakes! Seriously, if I'd done it, I'd own up to it, but I barely know the guy. The fact that he'd jump to such insane conclusions-he's out of his mind!"

Jasper was getting more riled up by the second. "Who knows what sick stuff Sellers has done to make enemies. Someone finally takes revenge, and he dumps the blame on me. Now he's out to ruin the Wilkinson Group-he really thinks we're that easy to take down?"

This time, Foreman and Haynes had stepped in at the last minute to help the Wilkinson Group. They'd suffered some losses, but nothing fatal-their key partnerships were intact.

Jasper's expression turned dark. "I

swear, I'm not letting that Burton guy off the hook this time! So what if

he's heir to the Burton Group? I don't care if have nothing left to

lose until I knock him off his get

horse, I'm not done with him."

After this incident, Jasper's own shot at inheriting the Wilkinson Group had been stripped away for good. He blamed Sellers, and he wasn't about to let him get away with it.

Haynes frowned. "If you screw up again, I won't bail you out next time."

As he spoke, Haynes seemed to sense something. He turned and glanced in Stella's direction.

He paused for a moment, then strode over to her.

"Star,” he said, his voice low and gentle, "Are you here to help me and Keen pick out clothes?"

Stella's tone was icy. "No."

Haynes acted as if he hadn't heard

her. "The seasons are changing

soon. Keen could use some new

clothes. Why don't we pick out a few things for him together?"

Stella was exasperated-how could these guys all be so full of themselves?

Before she could reply, Joshua's voice sounded right behind her.

"Ms. Cameron, what do you think of this outfit? Does it suit me?"

Everyone turned to look.

Rachel was visibly stunned.

Haynes's expression darkened.

Only Jasper looked as if he'd made some huge discovery, glancing back and forth between Stella and Joshua before pointing at them.

"Haynie, I told you there's definitely something going on between these two!"
