The Double or more Life of the Fake Heiress (Mirabella)

Chapter 1669

"Picking up a package?" Jim paused, looking a bit puzzled. Handling deliveries wasn't exactly his forte. After a moment's hesitation, he said, "Let me check with the butler."

Mirabella nodded, understanding the situation. The Davis family estate was known for its tight security. It wasn't just any delivery person who could approach —any outsider might be considered suspicious.

Jim waved over the butler, who quickly approached. "Mira has a package to receive. How do you usually handle deliveries here?"

The butler, nodding respectfully, replied, "We place them in a secure locker outside the estate. They're checked before being brought inside."

He then looked at Mirabella, realizing she had a package on the way, and offered, "We have a specific address for deliveries. I'll jot it down for you."

Mirabella nodded, "Thanks."

"My pleasure." The butler gave a slight bow and went off to write down the address.noveldrama

**The Next Day.**

Around nine in the morning, Mirabella was chatting with Robert and the gang in their group chat when a call came in on Messenger from James.

"Ms. Mirabella, your package has arrived. Could you come out to sign for it?" his clear voice came through.

Mirabella raised an eyebrow, "Did you deliver it yourself?"

James, in a stylish black trench coat, leaned casually against his car door. His strikingly handsome face turned towards the grand gates of the Davis Estate as

he replied, "Yep, a boyfriend this considerate is hard to come by."

Mirabella chuckled, a hint of a smile on her lips, "I'll be right out."

James: "Alright."

Mirabella ended the call and got up from the sofa. With Jim off handling business next door, it was just her, the cleaning crew, and the butler in the hall.

She had spotted a motorcycle in the garage the day before and asked the butler if she could borrow the keys.

The butler hesitated, then

suggested, "That bike's a bit special. How about I have a driver take you instead? Mirabella felt a twinge of regret The motorcycle looked vintage with a rugged charm that promised an exciting ride_

She didn't push it, nor did she ask for a driver. Instead, she borrowed keys to another car.

A few minutes later, Mirabella drove out. The guards at the gate, tipped off by the butler, opened the gates as soon as they saw her.

She parked by the roadside and walked over to James. "Not busy today?"

James pulled a slender silver needle from his pocket and handed it to her, nodding seriously, "Decided to take it easy."

Mirabella: "."

She realized some people had a knack for being cheeky.

James, seeing her momentarily speechless, chuckled and shook his head, "I have

a meeting nearby, so I thought I'd drop this off for you."

Mirabella raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms, "Quite the coincidence."

James reached up, gently tucking her loose curls behind her ear, his fingertips brushing her earlobe as he glanced towards the gates, "You should head back." fo

"Alright, I'll call you later." Mirabella nodded.

"Okay."

James got into his car. Mirabella waved at him through the window, took a few steps towards her in

car, and was about to get in when

her phone buzzed in her pocket.

She paused, pulling out her phone. Seeing the caller ID was her friend Blaze, she

was momentarily surprised but quickly answered the call.

Before she could say anything, Blaze's urgent and flustered voice came through, "Hey, someone's after you!"
