The CEO’S Unplanned Heir novel (Aurelia and Leopold)

Chapter 257

Chapter 257

Fredric spread his hands and said, “Why don’t you join me? You’ve been too cranky lately, always

suspicious. You need some peace of mind.”

Sheryl was astounded. She couldn’t believe that he was just practicing yoga.

Aurelia chuckled, “I do prenatal yoga every day. Jelena taught me. It helps maintain my figure and

balance hormones, so I don’t have to worry about stretch marks and pregnancy spots. Mrs. Stirling,

you should try it when you get pregnant.”

Sheryl’s attention shifted to Aurelia. She scrutinized her, the suspicious look in her eyes deepening,

“Fredric, I didn’t expect you to sign up them together? They are truly beautiful, and you are reaping the

benefits of

their charm.”

Fredric massaged his forehead and said, “What nonsense are you talking about? This is Arnold’s wife,

Aurelia, your future sister–in–law.”

As he spoke, Leopold’s grip on his drink tightened slightly, a spark of anger flashing through his eyes.

He was her legal husband.

Sheryl was taken aback. The recent rumors in the circle of elites were about Arnold meeting his

destined woman, so this was her.

She was actually Jelena’s cousin. These two sisters seemed to be very crafty, both rising to the top of

the ranks.

“Aurelia? The name suits you. Did Jelena introduce you to Arnold?”

“No.” Aurelia shook her head, “I met Arnold three years ago.”

Sheryl sneered, “So, you introduced Jelena to Fredric?”

Aurelia was perplexed, this line of questioning was unusual.

“Mrs. Stirling, I only found out about Jelena’s move to Fredric’s company after the fact.”

Fredric was indignant and said, “Sheryl, you are the lady in this family. Next year, Aurelia will be joining

us, and you need to set a good example. In the Stirling family, men are allowed to have mistresses, but

women must not be jealous. You must be virtuous, take care of your family, be considerate towards

their husbands, and get along with others. Please remember this.”

Before his words finished, Aurelia started coughing violently, covering her mouth.

Fredric looked at her, a puzzled smile on his face, “Did our family rules scare you? Didn’t Arnold tell

you

about them?”

Aurelia was indeed scared. The Stirling family’s rules were outdated and unreasonable.

“Have these family rules not been changed for hundreds of years?”

Leopold gave her a deep look. He could see through her thoughts at a glance.

“Do you want to change them?”

“No!” She shook her head and waved her hands, “I do not have the authority.”

“You are right.” Evelyn raised her eyebrows slightly, a hint of smugness on her face, “Only the head of

the family and the lady of the house have the right to change them.”

And I was the future lady of the Stirling family, Evelyn thought.

Aurelia could hear the insinuation in her words. She pouted, feeling a bit annoyed.

She took a sneaky glance at Leopold. He happened to be looking at her as well.

She subconsciously looked away. His gaze, either icy cold or blazing hot, always left her feeling

uncomfortable.

Jelena had been observing the two of them secretly. She had caught the subtle exchange between

them. The more she observed, the more suspicious she became.

Was Aurelia really that bold? On one hand, she was discussing marriage with Arnold, and on the

other hand, she was secretly flirting with Leopold.

As she pondered, Evelyn’s voice echoed, “Leopold, have you ever considered modifying the family

rules?”

The rule about mistresses didn’t benefit her either.

Leopold put down his cocktail glass, his expression becoming very serious, “The family rules were set

by our ancestors. How could they be changed at will?”

“OK.” Evelyn shrank her neck, not daring to speak further.

Aurelia knew he would say that. How could he possibly lessen his power? She should be grateful he

hadn’t made more unreasonable family rules.
