The CEO’S Unplanned Heir novel (Aurelia and Leopold)

Chapter 225

Chapter 225

“When I’m with Mr. Leopold, we seldom discuss business. Most of the time, we talk about our personal

lives. It’s great to have Manager Aurelia around to help, considering Mr. Leopold will have much more

for me to do in the future, including some of his private matters that I may not be able to fully dedicate

myself to within the department.”

The subtext in her words was clear to everyone: she’s gearing up to be the power behind the throne.

Emma chuckled, “I see. So, in the future, Evelyn will have to take care of Mr. Leopold, playing the role

of a wife and mother. How could a director be compared to the CEO’s wife? That’s where the real

power lies.”

Once Evelyn becomes the CEO’s wife, it would be time for Aurelia to hit the road.

Aurelia’s fingers tightened around her cup, her gaze drifting through the glass window to the horizon.

She was like a cloud on the horizon, coming and going lightly, leaving no trace. No one would know

she was once Leopold’s legal wife or rather, his wife in name only.

A bitter taste spread from the tip of her tongue to her very core, as if she had swallowed a sip of bitter

coffee. His real wife could only be a wealthy heiress like Evelyn. Someone like her, an insignificant

commoner, didn’t stand a chance!

The next day, Aurelia was supposed to accompany her mother, but Arnold called and invited her over NôvelDrama.Org owns this.

for dinner. He was going to Starhaven tomorrow at the invitation of World Wonders magazine to shoot

a special feature.

Standing at the kitchen door, Aurelia watched the man inside. There was something inexplicably

charming and elegant about the way he cooked.

A tall, handsome, and gentle man who could cook was simply impeccable.

What she didn’t know was that Arnold wasn’t gentle to everyone. His cold demeanor was well known in

high society and she was the only woman privileged enough to taste his cooking.

Arnold prepared four dishes and a soup: Mediterranean grilled bass, garlic shrimp tapas, confit duck,

halloumi salad and mushroom soup.

Aurelia tasted a shrimp and raved, “It is so amazing! Arno, you must be a reincarnation of a culinary

god. Your cooking is fantastic.”

Arnold looked at her with a smile full of indulgence, “Next time when I come back, I’ll cook some

Starhaven cuisine for you.”

She chuckled, “I must have saved the galaxy in my past life to have such a good friend like you.”

A gentle smile crossed Arnold’s face. He hoped their relationship could progress further.

Perhaps, three years ago when he met her in Willowbrook, she had quietly entered his heart. However,

he had many things to do and had to put aside his personal feelings for the time being.

Luckily, their connection was still there and he met her again. To have a woman in his life whom he

wanted to love, to cherish, and to spend his life with, was a blessing.

“Aurelia…” He looked at her intently, wanting to say something but couldn’t. His heartfelt words and

deep feelings were stuck in his throat.

She blinked at him, smiled broadly, and served him a bowl of soup.

“When you come back from Starhaven, I’ll cook for you as a welcome home treat.”

“Alright.” He smiled softly, a quiet sigh escaping his lips.

Just as they finished dinner, a guest arrived. It was Arnold’s aunt, Marcia Stirling from the Stirling

family.

Aurelia had only met Elara before. This was the first time she was meeting Marcia. With short hair,

dressed in a denim jacket, joggers, and a T–shirt, she looked very androgynous and clearly a strong,

capable wornan. She was a year older than Elara but remained single.

Marcia glanced at Aurelia, “Arnold, you have a friend over?”

Aurelia stood up, aware of her cue to leave, “It’s getting late, I should go. Have a safe trip tomorrow.”

Arnold, realizing his aunt had something to discuss, sighed reluctantly, “I’ll walk you out,”
