Chapter 215
Chapter 215
“Evan, stirring up trouble again?” The cool voice of Aurelia echoed from behind, startling him into a
shiver.
He was somewhat afraid of Aurelia, or, to put it more accurately, afraid of Arnold who was always by
her side. It was said that Arnold changed his partner fast, and no woman lasted longer than a month
with him. Yet, Aurelia seemed to have overstayed. Why hadn’t she been replaced?
He forced a grin onto his face, a smile without sincerity. “We’re old classmates after all, just showing
some
concern.” Content © NôvelDrama.Org.
Aurelia huffed, having heard every word he just said. It was clear he intended to sling mud at her
brother! She had anticipated that he would try to stir up trouble, which is why she’d decided to come
here.
“Seems like you just love to stir up trouble. Avery has just recovered and is focused on his work and
studies, he’s not interested in dating. What’s all this talk about new and old lovers? Don’t forget that I
still have your apology letter for insulting Avery. If you dare to make any mischief, I’ll make sure you’ll
regret it!”
Standing beside her, Arnold’s gaze turned icy. “Did you get that?”
Evan was afraid of him and backed down instantly, scurrying away.
Despite this, Aurelia still felt a hint of worry, sensing an imminent storm. Seeing her concern, Arnold
comforted her by gently patting her head. “Don’t worry, I’ve got your back. I’ll keep all kinds of
dangerous thing from you.”
Aurelia smiled, her eyes curved like crescents. “It’s nice to have someone to rely on.”
Arnold’s lips curved into a charming smile, his eyes full of affection as he looked at her. “I’m here for
you, solid as a rock, for the rest of your life.”
Aurelia winked playfully and patted her own shoulder. “Although my shoulders are a bit thin and my
abilities are limited, I can still be your sounding board. Anytime you’re upset, you can vent to me. I’m
here for a lifetime too.”
Arnold chuckled, her presence always seemed to sweep away all his worries, pressures, and
displeasure.
Meanwhile, Bonnie had seized the opportunity to find Avery in the makeup room.
“Avery, seeing you well again makes me so happy.”
Avery’s face was cold. “I don’t want to talk about the past.”
Leah pouted at Bonnie, “Avery doesn’t want to catch up with you. The recording is about to start. Could
you please not affect his mood?”
Her slightly plump figure stood between them like a screen, blocking Bonnie’s view.
Bonnie rolled her eyes at Leah, not taking her seriously. She stood up, stepped around Leah and
approached Avery. “I knew it, as soon as I left, you would get better.”
Avery glanced at Bonnie. “What do you mean?”
“After you fell ill, I prayed for you. A priest gave me a prophecy, saying that you were under a spell and
that I had to leave for you to recover,” Bonnie murmured.
Avery scoffed, “You think I would believe that?”
Bonnie lowered her eyes, her long lashes casting a shadow of sorrow on her pale eyelids. “It’s okay, as
long as you’re fine, I’m relieved.”
Leah puffed up her cheeks and pulled Bonnie away. “That’s enough. Stop bothering Avery.”
Just then, Aurelia and Arnold entered. Aurelia had heard some of Bonnie’s words, and she wasn’t
buying it. “Bonnie, when you decided to break up with Avery two years ago, that ended everything
between you. You have your own lives, your own careers. Let’s keep it that way.”
Bonnie bit her lip, a tear sliding down her cheek. “I understand, Aurelia. As long as Avery is fine, I’m
willing to do anything.”
