The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart

Chapter 760

Chapter 760

Would the pain she had endured and the damage she had suffered ever diminish?

Isaac’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he inhaled her familiar scent. A strange sense of calm began washing over him. “I messed up five years ago.”

He had spent a lot of time reflecting these past few years. If given another chance, he’d never be so foolish again.

Brittany didn’t want to hear about it, and she slowly and softly tried to push him away. “Enough.”

“Bri, if I could do it all over again, I would never keep anything from you.” His voice was hoarse. “In these five years, there hasn’t been a moment when I’ve forgotten you. There hasn’t been a moment when I haven’t regretted…”

His eyes were burning, and Brittany didn’t dare meet his gaze.

He leaned in closer and savored her scent as his eyes brimmed with tears. “I miss you.”

Brittany intended to push him away, but, unexpectedly, she felt a wet, warm spot on her shoulder.

Was he crying?

Brittany was stunned. In all these years, she had never seen Isaac shed a tear, not even at his most embarrassing and sad moments.

His voice was rough. “Could you give me another chance?”

His voice trembled. “I can do anything. Can you forgive me this once?”Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

Brittany’s eyes shimmered, but she remained silent.

Isaac waited for a long time but didn’t get the answer he was hoping for and felt somewhat dejected. He released his grip as his eyes grew dim.

Brittany looked out the window, clearly not intending to respond.

After a long stalemate, Isaac knew he wouldn’t get an answer. He stood up. “Rest well. I’ll visit again tomorrow.”

Brittany had always been tough, something he had experienced firsthand.

Isaac’s silhouette was tinged with loneliness. For a split second, Brittany’s heart softened. “I ruined everything for you. Don’t you blame me?”

“No. Because I can give you whatever you want.”

Brittany sighed. After a long pause, she simply said, “Apologize to me.”

“What?” Isaac seemed taken aback for a moment.

Apologize?

Brittany slid out from beneath the covers and slowly got out of bed.

She walked over to Isaac as her almond-shaped eyes glowed like they were filled with a galaxy of stars. “Apologize to me.”

Isaac complied readily. “I’m sorry.”

His apology was sincere.

Brittany reached out and wrapped her arms around his waist.

Isaac froze. He could hardly believe that Brittany would take the initiative to hug him, especially under these circumstances.

“Isaac.”Brittany’s voice was low. It was barely audible. “I will only forgive you this once.”

Isaac felt as if he had received a pardon, and he instinctively wrapped his arms around her waist. The emotions he had been suppressing for years collapsed in an instant. He held her tightly as tears rolled down his cheeks. “Are you really willing to forgive me?”

Brittany’s eyes also welled up. She looked up at him from his embrace. “Yes, just this once.”

Isaac was filled with excitement. His heart was pounding as he leaned in to kiss her.

Brittany resisted a little. “Your body…”

Did he even remember that he was a patient?

Regardless of his injuries, Isaac swept Brittany off her feet, laid her on the bed, and leaned over her.

“Don’t move.” His dominant aura was as strong as ever. A stark contrast to his previous state of weakness.

Brittany placed her hand on his chest, but he caught it and raised it above her head. He seemed desperate to devour her.

Brittany was quickly overcome by his actions, unable to utter a word.

The tension was palpable, and the entire hospital room was filled with fervor.

Suddenly!

Footsteps could be heard.

Like a bucket of cold water, Brittany’s rationality returned, and she shoved Isaac away.

Caught off guard, the man fell with a thud.

At the same time, the hospital room door swung open, and Brittany found herself looking into William’s surprised eyes.
