Kiss My Revenge The Heiress Strikes Back

Chapter 416

Miranda really wasn't in the mood for any late-night drama.

"Who even gets a marriage license at night?" she protested.

Elian's eyes sparkled with mischief. "I'll have them deliver the papers and the stamp. You don't have to move a muscle."

Miranda frowned. "Isn't this a bit too fast? What if we find out we're not right for each other? Getting divorced would be a pain."

Truth was, she never knew how long she could really like someone. Commitment, especially when it was so uncertain, made her uneasy. Marriage itself didn't mean that much to her-it just seemed like a hassle. If they ever broke up, there'd be a whole new process to go through.

At the mention of divorce, Elian's expression changed. "Divorce?" he repeated, genuinely confused.

He looked at her, searching her face for answers. "Why wouldn't we be right for each other?"

Miranda could see the chill in his eyes, the way her words unsettled him.

He was clearly against it. Almost offended.

"We're right for each other," he insisted, locking eyes with her. "No one could be better for you than me."

"I'll love you. I'll always love you."

"If there's something that doesn't fit, I'll make it fit. There's never going to be a 'not right' day."

Miranda froze for a second. It felt like a thousand tiny threads were weaving around her heart, sweet and bittersweet and just a little overwhelming.

He kept his gaze on her, his eyes reflecting nothing but her.

"It's okay if we don't get the papers. But..." He squeezed her hand, his voice barely above a whisper. "We're never going to be wrong for each other. Okay?"

In that moment, something inside Miranda exploded-like a spark shooting through her bones, tingling all the way to her heart.

It was like a guitar string had been plucked too hard and snapped, making her eyes tremble just a little.

Before she could even process it, Elian had already closed the distance, wrapping her in his arms so tightly that not even a sliver of space remained.

He just clung to her, as if he'd never let go.

She heard herself say, "Okay."

The second the word left her lips,

Elian's whole face lit up. He hugg

her even tighter, as if he could melt her right into him.

It didn't take much to make Elian happy. He was easy to please.

Just one nice word from Miranda and all his anger vanished.

But now, it was time for the next big step: making it official. Elian wanted everyone to know.

He started scrolling through his phone, searching for the perfect way to announce their relationship online.

By the time Miranda was about to drift off to sleep, he still hadn't settled on a post.

When he saw her eyelids drooping, he grinned, snapped a quick photo of her profile, and posted it to his social feed.

Caption: "My wife looks adorable when she's sleeping."

He grabbed Miranda's phone, liked the post from her account, and left a heart emoji in the comments.

Not even five seconds later, the comment section was blowing up. Elian finally looked satisfied.

Miranda yawned. "You done?"

Elian finally handed her phone back, but as she reached for it, he leaned down and kissed her. His lips brushed hers as he whispered, "Wifey," like it was the sweetest word in the world. '

His kisses grew deeper, more intimate, and Miranda found herself melking

Suddenly, he pushed her seat all the way back and climbed on top of her.

His breathing grew heavier, and the word "wifey" tumbled from his lips, more urgent, more desperate each time.

Miranda caught his wandering hand and whispered, "Not tonight, okay?"
