Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1675

"Fourth brother, he..."

Even if they didn't want to see the fourth branch treated like this, when it came to principles, no one stuck up for them.

"The real story here is still up in the air. No matter the drama within the Woods family, our top priority is finding the fourth brother. If he takes his clan and heads to the States, we're in deep trouble."

"Exactly, I'll make sure the airport's locked down tight. We need strict checks on land and sea routes, and I could really use your backup here."

"I've already got people checking the Capital's entry and exit points. We've only been chatting for a bit; no matter how fast the fourth brother thinks he is, he can't outrun us."

Kimberly eyed the trio in front of her with a cool detachment, her gaze icy. She picked up a bank statement from the pile of documents next to her, glancing over it before letting out a low chuckle. "Fifth brother, before you dash off after the fourth, mind explaining this? How did your account suddenly swell by two hundred million? Care to share?"

"What two hundred million? I have no clue what you're talking about," the fifth brother stammered, visibly rattled.

Everyone around could see that the fifth brother wasn't exactly squeaky clean.

"Fifth brother, what's the deal with the two hundred million? You better spill the beans. Have you been secretly chatting with the Larkin family?" Holden couldn't hold back anymore.

He got along best with the fourth brother, and the fifth was a close second. Despite wanting to topple Kimberly and Jackson, he certainly didn't want to hand over the Woods family to outsiders.

Living under Kimberly and Jackson was a lot better than dealing with the Larkin family.

"Junru, I think we're dealing with a misunderstanding here. Let's dig into this properly before jumping to conclusions."

"Such a touching display of loyalty."

Kimberly shot them a sarcastic look, raising an eyebrow with disdain. "Do you really think we're fools?"

Kimberly stood up, not wasting

another look on them. Since they refused to listen, she saw no reason to stick around. She and Jackson had brought the Woods family together to save face, but if they weren't interested, she wasn't going to push it. Over the years she and Jackson had done all they could for the Woods family.

Moving forward, there was no need to tiptoe around the Woods family's pride.

After Kimberly left, she wasted no time unleashing a crushing blow on the Larkin family in the Capital. Ever since the incident with Zoe, their business had been circling the drain, and now it was even worse. In just five days, they declared bankruptcy. Not even the Larkin family'snoveldrama

connections in the States could save them.

This was Jackson and Kimberly's first taste of victory against the Larkin family.

They had been waiting for this day for far too long.

When Fiona got wind of the news, she hopped in a cab straight to the Woods family, knowing her brother must be feeling a mix of joy and sorrow.

Sure enough, when Fiona arrived, Kimberly was kneeling silently in the Woods family chapel, with Nash by her side.

Jackson was holed up in the study, sporting a scruffy beard, looking like he hadn't left the room in days.

"Brother." Her face was pale as she approached Jackson, wrapping her arms around him. "No matter what happens, I'll always be by your side."
