Dirty Little Secret

Chapter 72

Ace’s PoV

It’s been weeks since my arrest, and the authorities still question me. It’s bothersome that I’m eating and I’m not too fond of the food here, but I need to eat something so I don’t feel weak. There are many individuals in prison, some of whom are high-profile inmates, and I can see they have a group, and I hope I don’t get involved.

I’m concerned about Unice; it’s been two weeks since I guess she took the pregnancy test, and I haven’t heard from Max. I sipped the water from the plastic cup and was coughing when someone bumped me on the back.

“Shit, sorry, bro,” the man who bumped me apologized, and as I glanced at him, it appeared that he had a bunch of men with him.

“Did you do that on purpose, or are you trying to provoke a fight since I’m new here?” I remarked, and he stopped chatting to his friends.

“I’ve already apologized. Are you insane? It’s no surprise that you’re here with us.” He mocks and looks at me as if he’s about to punch me, but I’m not scared.

“You’re insane, banging into new folks as if you own this area,” I teased him back, which enraged him, and he punched me in the face, but I wasn’t surprised.

I didn’t care about the other people chanting ‘fight’ around us, so I chose to punch him too. With one or two combos, they aren’t assisting this man. I suppose he is powerful like me, but he doesn’t know what crime I committed.

“You shithead!” The man shrieked and kicked me in the stomach, but I could still fight, so I punched him again in the stomach and then punched him on the jaw with my right fist, and he was down, vomiting blood and gasping for air.

As the other prisoners continued to participate in our battle, I shoved him across the wall while punching him in the lower abdomen with my left fist and hard in the jaw with my right fist as he bounced back at me. He was then thrown in the direction of the other prisoners.

One of the inmates grabs me from behind and attempts to drag me away, but I fight back by hitting his nose with the back of my head, knocking him down, and kicking his head.

I rushed over to one of his friends, grabbed his head, and punched him hard enough to knock him out.

One prisoner was attacking me with a fork, but I managed to escape all of his blows and grasp his right hand to stop him. Kicked his stomach, seized the fork, stabbed it into his palm, and punched him in the face as he screamed in pain. Keeping my attention, one tried to rush men, but I grabbed his head and kneed his face out.

“This person is insane!” As things began to spiral out of control, one of the inmates yelled,

As the fight proceeds, I drop one prisoner on his knee while kicking his shin caps, forcing him to fall and smack him in the eye.

I immediately grabbed the metal food tray and smashed it into one of the prisoners’ faces, knocking him to the ground. Another tried to rush me, so I grabbed his neck with my left hand and choked him.

Started by lifting the prisoners’ leg off the ground and tucking it under my arm while using their free hands to grab the opponent’s neck and slam him to the table, destroying him.

Turning around, I noticed a 7ft tall man who was taller and bigger than me, but I wasn’t afraid of him because he challenged me one-on-one.

“The bigger they are,” I stated, kicking his groan and weakening him.

“The harder they fall,” I added as I carried him through the table, giving him a body slam as I utilized my strength to pick up my opponent, lift him over my head, and slam him down hard onto the table. The other prisoners were utterly stunned and couldn’t believe what was happening.

I heard the jail guards quickly approaching with their batons ready and riot shields, and they forcibly stopped me from punching the man who tried to meddle with me. But I pushed them all back, but they put a handcuff on my hand and threw me back in my cell while I resisted. I look around at the individuals in one cell. The cops remove the handcuffs and lock the door.

“I can go to my cell by myself,” I replied as the jail guard backed away from me as they closed the prison cell.

“Did you have a fight?” Someone asked me a question.

“Yes, and why did you ask?” He sat near me after I responded.

“When I was new here, they handcuffed me after I got into a fight and then put me back in the cell. But, as I can see, the prison guards are terrified of you.” He mentioned this.

“What is your name? If it’s okay with you,” He inquired.

“Ace Shelton, what’s yours?” I respond by asking his name as well.

“You can call me Shawn,” Shawn answered, smiling at me.

“I believe you’ve been here for a few weeks. You got a girlfriend? Family? Friend?” Shawn inquired once again.

“Yes, I have a girlfriend, and I’m concerned that she’s pregnant,” I told him.

“If you don’t mind, you were with her before you were arrested?” Shawn inquired, and I nodded, thinking why he was asking many questions.C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.

“Yes, she’s with me, and we’re engaged; however, I can’t marry her if I don’t get paroled here,” I replied, and he tapped my shoulder.

“I hope you receive parole; what exactly is your crime?” Shawn inquired.

“I killed my uncle because he killed my parents; I wanted vengeance because I’m experiencing horrible nightmares due to that dark past while I sleep, but after killing him and his son, I didn’t get nightmares,” I explained, leaving him dumbfounded.

“Unfortunately, you can’t say you sought vengeance; I understand because I lost my parents as well, but they weren’t slain by someone,” Shawn remarked, surprising me.

“If you don’t mind my asking, how did they die?” I asked him, and I saw a cop come outside our cell.

“Ace Shelton, you need to come with us. We got your result from mental health,” the cop said, and I stood up and stared at him.

“Good luck, Ace,” Shawn said, and I followed the cops, one of whom placed a handcuff on me as they assisted me. And when we entered the room, I noticed a doctor.

“Good afternoon, Mr. Shelton. Sit down first, and I will tell you about the results of your health and mental health,” the doctor declared and greeted me, and I sat down to await what he would say.

“Your physical health is good, and the other tests are normal, including the drug test, indicating that there is no drug substance misuse; however, after conducting an interview regarding what happened and why you committed the act, we discovered that you have Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. To put it another way, you can’t forget what happened to your family, so you murder your uncle and his son to forget about it.” While reading the lab tests, the doctor explained, and I remained silent.

“You mentioned being nervous when someone left you alone once more? For example, did you say you loved the female you kidnapped? Did she adore you as well?” I shook my head in response to the doctor’s question.

“I’m the only one who loves her and obsesses over her, which is why I’m worried she’ll leave me, and right now, I’m arrested. I feel lonely and alone,” I lied to him about being the only one who loves Unice.

“I’m correct. You need to be monitored. I’ll send you to the Urea Mental Hospital, and I heard you got into a fight earlier. If you have any relatives, please tell me since I am your psychologist,” The doctor assured me, and I nodded; the police allowed me to stand, and I returned to my cell with the doctor.

“Say goodbye if you have a buddy on your cell. We will travel to the mental institution today and traffic you there to get proper treatment,” the doctor said. I looked at Shawn, with whom I had previously spoken.

“What occurred? You appear pale and terrified,” Shawn inquired.

“I’m sorry, Shawn. Even though I’ve only known you for a few minutes, thank you for talking to me. The doctor will transfer me to a mental health center to provide me with proper therapy,” I apologized and then tapped my shoulder.

“Best of luck! I hope you get better soon so that you can be paroled because of your mental health,” Shawn responded, and I nodded as I exited the cell, which had been closed by the jail guard.

We exited the prison facility; it was a large facility with many inmates; it was heavily guarded; there was a four-guard outpost on a lookout and some electric fences just in case a prisoner tried to escape; there were many prison guards armed with batons and tasers; I went inside the van with the prison police; the doctor is beside me, and he is a man; maybe he will really help me. What would Unice think if she finds out I’m headed to a mental hospital?

“Do you have any friends or family members? Because we require it, and because you are now my patient,” the doctor inquiry as they prepare to transfer me

“Yes, I have a friend named Tom, and I remember his phone number,” I said, and he handed me his phone, which I dialed.

[Hello, who are you?] Tom inquired right away.

“Tom, this is your friend; as you know, I was detained and am currently being transferred to the Urea Mental Hospital,” I inform him. I know he will be astonished, but he must focus on our strategy.

[I’ll notify Miss Unice about it boss; I was surprised you called me.] Tom proclaimed. Max told me we needed to get to Unice’s place since she was heading to the hospital because she had just told us she was pregnant. I didn’t show my surprise because the doctor was near me.

“Thank you for being my friend Tom. I will be waiting for you at Urea Mental Hospital,” I said as I hung up the phone and handed it back to him.

“Good thing you have a nice buddy; if he is with someone, please let me know, so I’m aware,” the doctor added, and I nodded.

I’m overjoyed that the pregnancy test Unice took was positive, and I’d like to visit her immediately if possible. I hope she’s in good health; I’ve already advised her not to be concerned about me. I felt the van come to a halt and the doctor exit first; I didn’t know his name at the time, but I might ask him later if we talk again.

I saw people who are insane here in the mental hospital, but I’m not as severe as them. Some are talking with someone, but no one is there making gestures. In contrast, others are being assisted by medical personnel wearing strap jackets. We entered, and I saw a woman who was insane holding a doll baby. I was confused; perhaps she lost a baby and became insane; I don’t want that to happen to Unice.

“Thank you, officer, for assisting us; I will take care of him, leave the handcuffs, and give me the key. He is in good hands,” the doctor requested, and the prison provided the key as four guys assisted me, possibly nurses.
