Dear Ex-wife Marry Me

Chapter 2125

Tyler squinted, thinking he must have misheard. Wasn't Anna always surrounded by two formidable bodyguards? How did Athena manage to take them down?

Athena, unable to hear his thoughts, assumed he was angry. "I didn't mean to. She snatched my phone and smashed it. I lost your contact, and in a fit of anger, I hit her."

Tyler remained silent, his mind envisioning the chaos of the scene.

Athena grew uneasy, her palms sweaty, expecting Tyler to scold her for Anna's sake. But instead, he asked, "You called, didn't you want my help?"

After all, Anna was a cash cow for WAJA Media, and Athena was one of their artists too. Maybe she was about to be blacklisted.noveldrama

Tyler thought Athena had called for help. But after a few minutes, she simply said, "I miss you a bit. I was wondering where I could see you."

Doris, sitting next to Athena, expected her to ask Tyler for help immediately. Yet all she got was an "I miss you"?

"Athena, are you out of your mind? This is no time for that. You need to tell Tyler about your situation! Otherwise, when the boss sends people after you, you're done for!"

Athena acted as if she hadn't heard, quietly listening to the voice on the other end.

Tyler, caught off guard by her words, instinctively replied, "I'm at a friend's place, babysitting."

Realizing he had inadvertently revealed his whereabouts, he relaxed, knowing Athena didn't know Fitch.

"If there's nothing else, I'm going to hang up."

"Tyler, do you like soup? I should have plenty of time to cook soon. If you like it, I could make it for you often. Can you give me your address?"

Tyler was baffled by what went on in her mind. With her manager beside her panicking, Athena was saying all sorts of nonsense.

For some reason, he felt a surge of frustration and annoyance. A woman like her was incredibly foolish.

He hung up, hearing Fitch ask, "Who was that?"

With a hint of irritation, Tyler replied, "Just that starlet I mentioned before. Remember? It was her first time, she asked if rd take responsibility, said I would. But she seemed to take it seriously and doesn't even want money."

Utterly naive.

When they say they don't want money, it usually means they want something far bigger.

Fitch had never liked how Tyler treated women, but knowing the entertainment industry's reputation, he let it slide.

Tyler continued playing with Nolan, thinking of mentioning Zoey, but with her gone, what was the point? It would only make Fitch more upset.

Meanwhile, after hanging up, Athena was nearly throttled by Doris. "Get a grip! The boss has been calling you If you don't go along with his

demands, you'll be sidelined fool. ne

sure. You've been struggling for years in this industry, are you really okay with that kind of ending?"

Athena seemed unfazed, even opening her bank app. Despite the ups and downs, she'd saved a

decent amount. Even if she got benched, she could live comfortably.

With no more work, she could focus all her energy on winning Tyler over. She was certain she could win him over.

Doris, seeing her getting nowhere with Athena, was exasperated. No matter what she said, Athena's mind was set on making Tyler soup.

By evening, Jacob called again, his tone harsher this time, even warning Doris that if they didn't show up, they'd both be out of WAJA Media.

Doris, out of options and seeing Athena's resolve, stopped trying to persuade her. They headed to the company headquarters together.

Jacob sat in the CEO's office, with Anna sobbing on the couch beside him. His expression was grim as he tossed a document at Doris, who failed to dodge it.

Athena, however, nimbly stepped aside.

Jacob narrowed his eyes, addressing Doris, "Get out. I need to talk to Athena."

Doris didn't need to guess. She knew what it was about—likely trying to get Athena to play by his rules.
