Chapter 2090
He stood there, feeling a chill run through his body, disbelief etching his face as he picked himself up from the ground.
He had been a regular at this bar, throwing around cash like it was nothing, never imagining a day when he'd be thrown out.
Then it hit him - the bar was partly owned by Boris. The thought infuriated him even more, convinced his father had orchestrated this humiliation.
He had considered reaching out to Boris for help, to ask for a loan. But now, pride swelled within him, and he refused to make that call.
Morgan, in a moment of self-destructive thought, figured he might as well blow the $1,000,000 he had just borrowed on living the high life until it ran out!
So, he walked back in, his face bruised but his ego intact, and slammed a wad of cash on the manager's desk.
"Bring me the finest whiskey, and get five girls to join me," he demanded.
The manager, who had thought Morgan was out of funds, was surprised to see him flash $3,000.
Morgan sneered, his chin held high.
"Even in my worst times, I'm still a Sanders. You think I can't afford this?"
The manager quickly complied, sending girls over to his table.
As Morgan dwelled on his night's misfortunes, his anger grew. Once the girls arrived, he embraced the distraction, seeking solace in their company as if to wash away the night's humiliations.
Stella watched all this from a distance, her lips curling into a cold smirk.
After leaving the room, she caught a glimpse of herself in the bathroom mirror. She had lost weight again. Thinking about Morgan's ordeal made her laugh, but her laughter soon turned bitter.
"See, Stella? This is the man you saved with your life. Was he even worth it?"
To her, Morgan was a waste of air, a brainless fool living off the Sanders name. Would she regret saving such a man?
Feeling a sudden tightness in her chest, Stella began coughing violently, noticing blood on her palm which she quickly washed off.
Standing before the mirror, she made a decision.
She had come tonight with a purpose. If Morgan had shown even a hint of remorse, any sign he regretted his past actions, she would have stopped her plans for revenge.
After all, she owed it to the mute girl who had given her life for him.
But Morgan showed no signs of change, blowing through the newly borrowed money like it was nothing.
Stella decided she had seen enough. She could predict his downfall.
She returned to Beck's place, expecting him to be out. To her surprise, he was sitting on the sofa.
"Beck," she called out.
Had his date gone well?
Beck, focused on his computer, barely acknowledged her.
"Uh-huh."
As she approached, he finally looked up, noticing the blood on her clothes.
"Why do you smell like blood?" he asked.
Stella froze, realizing her coughing fit had left stains on her fabric.
"I..."
Before she could find an excuse, Beck turned away.
"Go to bed. You're still not well. But you need to move out tomorrow; I'm expecting company."
Stella guessed it was the girl he was seeing. Her presence would undoubtedly cause discomfort.

Sitting still, Beck's voice snapped her back to reality.
"Didn't you hear me?"
"Got it, Beck. I'm heading upstairs," she replied.
Beck grunted a response.
But after she left, his typing slowed, and he stared blankly at the screen, lost in thought.

He signaled her to wait, finishing his call.
After hanging up, he pointed to the breakfast table.
"Eat, then leave."
