Chapter 1958
Alistair, who was half asleep and half awake, pursed his lips and suddenly widened his eyes. In a low and immature voice, he said, "I'm not a kid!"
"Alistair..."
Awakened from a dream, Carolien subconsciously raised her hand to block the glaring light. Carolien still instinctively wanted to hug Alistair, but when she just remembered something, she turned around and saw Elijah standing on the bedside, staring at Alistair with his big eyes, as if they were enemies meeting. Both of their faces were very ugly.
In an instant, Carolien woke up. Before the situation became clear, she instinctively hugged Alistair and comforted him before touching his forehead. She yawned and did not forget to explain to Elijah.
"Why did you come back in the middle of the night? Alistair has a fever, so I brought him here. I wanted to tell you yesterday, but we fell asleep before you came back..."
Carolien pleaded as he glanced at him, indicating for him not to lose his temper in front of the child. She was also very depressed in her heart.
She thought he would not come!
It was an accident that Alistair was ill. Initially, she had planned to go home together with him, so she came with the kid. Originally, she planned to discuss it with Alistair when she came over. At worst, when he fell asleep, she would satisfy him if needed. Anyway, he came here for that thing. If he was too busy, it would be better, so Carolien did not tell him. When he did not show up at night, she slept with Alistair in her arms. But she did not expect that Elijah actually came back at midnight. The situation was a bit bad!
After explaining, she suddenly remembered something and said,
"This is my younger brother, Alistair! Alistair, this is Mr. Luther... hmm, my boyfriend! Yesterday, Mr. Luther and I had an appointment to discuss something important, that's why I brought you to his house for a night. Hurry, say hi to uncle!" Carolien introduced them to each other. The more Elijah listened, the more he felt that something was wrong. His cold eyes turned to the other side. What did she mean? What did she mean by calling him uncle? It was obvious that they were not in the same generation. Did she mean that he was old?
He gazed at the little boy in front of him, who looked slightly sallow but very beautiful, with a pair of big black eyes with a bit of charm. Even if he puffed up his cheeks and nestled in front of her at this time, he was still warm and lovely.
Did she really have such a big child?
"Little brother?"
Why did it feel more like a son?
While holding Carolien's neck, Alistair turned his head away. "Hmph."
What was going on?
Alistair, who was usually very sensible and very polite, now had a temper. Carolien patted him on the back.
"Alistair?"
"No." He leaned against Carolien's arms, and the child directly buried his face. "He doesn't want to say hi to me, but he calls me 'a kid'?"
"Uh?"
After coaxing the child for a long time, Carolien did not speak. She could only turn her head and smile dryly at Elijah. "Uh... he's not feeling very well today!"
In other words, he shouldn't meet the child!
"Humph!"
With a sneer, Elijah turned his head directly to the wardrobe on the side. "What an annoying little kid. How dare he take my woman in front of me?"
He was not happy.
The two of them looked at each other with a look of disgust. Between them, one was a man and one was a child. One was an old man and the other was an ignorant child. Both of them could not afford to offend each other. Carolien did not know whether to cry or laugh.
In the end, after coaxing the little one to sleep, Alistair carefully removed her small hands from her body and she covered Alistair with a blanket. She dimmed the bedside lighting, and only then did she tiptoe towards the sofa.
For more than half an hour, he had been half-squinting at the sofa. Seeing someone coming over, Elijah tilted his body and gave her a look. Sitting in the corner, Carolien was speechless. She raised her hand and gently poked him a few times, and then pulled his arm like a spoiled child, and then hooked it on his neck and leaned into his ear.
"Are you angry? I didn't mean it. I didn't know you would come back in the middle of the night..."
Carolien lowered her voice and glanced at the small figure on the big bed. She really didn't want him to sleep here on purpose!
Elijah's cold eyes slanted, and Carolien rushed to kiss his cheek.
"I'm wrong, okay? It's just for today. Don't argue with Alistair when he's ill. I'll make
it up to you one day. I know that you are generous and the best. You won't argue with me, will you?"
Elijah was both angry and amused. He was speechless.
She had already said all the bad things. What else could he say?
This little fox was going to eat him!
He wrapped his arm around her waist and lowered his head. The corner of his lips curled into a deep intimate kiss. His hands were not idle either. They fooled around for quite a while under the dim light. They were afraid of Alistair on the bed, and even more afraid that the child would suddenly wake up. Carolien did not dare to move and almost bit his entire lips until they bled.
After all, she didn't go too far after taking advantage of him. The only thing was that her strength was like that of a child. His grip was so tight, as if he wanted to strangle her. She allowed him to hug her slender waist. Instinctively, Carolien raised her hand and stroked his head gently like comforting a restless child. Then she lowered her head and kissed him gently on the forehead. Subconsciously, he chuckled lightly.
"Why are you also like a child?"
Were they fighting for her favor?
His body stiffened, and it was as if something had suddenly touched Elijah's heart.
He turned around and pinched her waist. "You're conscienceless! You and your
brother..."
Although he was still a kid, it was obvious that they had a good relationship! Elijah suddenly felt a little uncomfortable that she had such a clingy brother.
They wouldn't be so close when he grew up, would they? Anyway, he was trying to compete for her favor!
It was obvious that she didn't notice that he was thinking too much. His whole thoughts had gone somewhere she didn't know.
"It's very different. He's like my son, isn't he?"
After listening to his words, Carolien looked back at the bedside again.
"Alistair is an unexpected gift, and my mother didn't expect it either.
However, since God let him
us, it is a gift. He is really my younger brother! I have never
Qu
my father before. My mother raised me up, and now my mother is gone. In this world, I only have one younger brother and he is my only relative. I am more privileged than him, so he is my most important person!"
Unknowingly, her worries were revealed. A faint sadness flashed acrossnoveldrama
Carolien's eyes.
What do you think?
