Her mind was still hazy when she awoke, the remnants of sleep clinging to her. The room was dim, casting eerie shadows across the walls. A figure emerged from the darkness, Donna, her daughter. The child’s gaze held an intensity, as if she held a secret.

“Nelly, are you awake?” Donna inquired, her voice a soft whisper that seemed to echo. All content is © N0velDrama.Org.

Nelly blinked her tired eyes and managed a smile. “Yes, I am awake.”

Donna stared at her with an odd intensity, a mischievous glint in her eye. Nelly knew her daughter well enough to sense that something was amiss.

“Tell me, Donna. What is it that you wish to share?” Nelly questioned, her voice hoarse from slumber.

Donna hesitated for a moment, then proceeded to speak. “Have you seen the video, Nelly? The one of the person fighting on the internet?”

Nelly’s mind swirled, attempting to recall the memories from her foggy state. Eventually, she nodded. “Yes, I have seen it.”

“Was that person our Daddy?” Donna asked, her voice filled with curiosity and concern.

Nelly’s heart skipped a beat. How had her daughter recognized him? His face was obscured in the video, after all.

Driven by a desire for honesty, Nelly responded, “How did you know it was him?”

Donna beamed with confidence. “I just knew, Nelly. At first glance, I recognized him!”

Nelly was taken aback. The bond of blood ran deep indeed. Even Nelly herself had struggled to confirm that it was Alpha Kilian in the video without his distinctive attire.

In the dimly lit room, Nelly peered at her daughter, her voice still raspy. “Are you worried about him, Donna?”

Donna nodded earnestly, her worry etched onto her young face.

Without hesitation, Nelly reassured her. “I understand, Donna. You are allowed to worry. But know this, I will always love and protect you.”

Donna’s eyes sparkled with gratitude and affection. She nestled into her mother’s embrace, exuding an irresistible charm.

Nelly’s heart melted at her daughter’s display of affection. She couldn’t stay angry with such a sweet child.

Truly, she didn’t mind. It was natural for a child to worry about their parents and yearn for their love.

Nelly had no intention of depriving her children of their love. Though occasionally, she craved to be the sole recipient of their affection, she was a rational being.

“Alright, Donna. Since you put it that way, I believe you,” Nelly said, gently patting her daughter’s head.

Encouraged, Donna raised her head and asked, “Can you take us to visit him, Nelly? Please?”

Nelly was taken aback. The request caught her off guard.

“But… Grandpa doesn’t approve of Daddy. He won’t take us to visit him. Can you take us to the hospital instead, Nelly?” Donna pleaded, her eyes filled with genuine concern.

“Now?” Nelly queried, uncertain.

Donna nodded fervently. “Yes, now. Daddy got into a fight, and even though he says he’s fine, I still want to see him.”

The worry in Donna’s voice was palpable. Nelly sighed inwardly, realizing that the saying about daughters favoring their fathers held some truth. Despite the short duration of their acquaintance, Donna’s worry for Alpha Kilian was genuine.

Nelly relented, her logical nature overtaken by maternal love. “Alright, Donna. We will go.”

Donna’s eyes sparkled with excitement. “Really?”

Nelly couldn’t help but chuckle at her daughter’s enthusiasm. “Would you let me sleep if I said no?”

“You’re the best, Nelly!” Donna exclaimed, planting a kiss on her mother’s cheek before bounding off to search for appropriate clothes.

Curious, Nelly questioned her daughter’s actions. “What are you doing?”

Donna replied, grinning mischievously, “Finding a suitable outfit for you, of course!” She rummaged through the wardrobe and pulled out a provocative dress, one that Nelly had never worn.

Nelly cast a knowing glance at Donna. She understood her daughter’s intentions.

Silently, she swapped the dress for the one she wore earlier and declared, “I think this will suffice.”

Donna blinked in surprise, but soon agreed. “Okay!”

Nelly wasn’t disappointed by her daughter’s response. In fact, she found it endearing that Donna saw her beauty beyond the eye-catching attire. It wasn’t about being seductive; it was about elegance and style. Donna saw her as a captivating and unforgettable figure.

Suppressing her own thoughts, Donna acted unsurprised and composed.

Together, they left the bedroom.

Ben and Tony, the boys, were busy tidying up with Alpha Wade.

As Nelly and Donna emerged, Donna blinked playfully at her brothers, silently conveying their shared secret. The boys played along, pretending ignorance.

Nelly approached Alpha Wade. “Grandpa, I will be taking them out for a while.”

Alpha Wade glanced at his family before focusing on Nelly. “Where are you going? Isn’t it late for dinner?”

“We’re just going for a stroll. We’ll be back before dinner,” Nelly reassured him with a smile.

Alpha Wade regarded his family once more before consenting. “Alright, but don’t stay out too late.”

Nelly nodded and turned to Ben and Tony. “Let’s go.”

Tony remained impassive, but Ben couldn’t hide his excitement. Both boys followed their mother obediently.

Observing their departure, Alpha Wade questioned Nelly’s decision to drive. “You’re driving?”

Nelly nodded in affirmation. “Yes.”

Concern clouded Alpha Wade’s features. “Is it wise to drive so soon after everything that has happened?”

Nelly’s smile remained firm. “I’ll be careful, Grandpa. I can’t stop driving forever, can I?”

Alpha Wade seemed hesitant to accept her answer, but Donna intervened. “Don’t worry, Gramps. Nelly will drive safely. We will have a safe journey.”

Having received reassurance from both Nelly and Donna, Alpha Wade realized there was little more he could say. “Return soon.”

“Of course,” Nelly assured him.

With that, the trio left, filled with anticipation.

It was the triplets who brimmed with excitement, while Nelly felt a mix of emotions as they headed towards the meeting with Alpha Kilian.
