Chapter 304
Chapter 304
Patricia stopped struggling and let him take her out of the office.
Sorella and Liam were standing outside. The moment Isaac and Patricia came out, they both took a step back.
"President Arnold," they greeted Isaac. Then, they turned to greet Patricia as well, "Miss Aniston."
She tried to pull her hand back, but Isaac wouldn't let her. There was an awkward look creeping up her face. She was a colleague of Sorella and Liam, and it was rather awkward for her that they had seen her holding hands with Isaac.
Isaac said, "You guys should go home too." He went by both of them and headed straight to the exclusive elevator.
Liam followed him. "Sir, we'll take you home."
Isaac answered coldly, "No. You guys are going home alone." Liam and Sorella usually followed him to and from work, and so were his bodyguards. They needed to ensure his safety, after all.
Liam and Sorella stopped in their tracks upon hearing that, for fear Isaac might bite their heads off. Instead, they called the bodyguards and told them to keep an eye on Isaac.
Once they were in the elevator, Patricia leaned her head on his shoulders, her heart fluttering with
delight. It felt great dating him publicly. I have a boyfriend now. I'm in a relationship now. This was her first relationship, and it felt sweet for her. There seemed to be a perpetual smile curling her lips.
Just then, Hendrick called her. She looked at her phone for a moment before taking the call. "Hey, Grandpa."
"Come back for Christmas, Tricia. If you can't make it on Christmas Eve, at least make it on Boxing Day. Bring the kids with you. And Zachary, too." Hendrick believed that Zachary was the children's father, so he had let go of his anger.
He sounds happy. She replied, "Sure." She then asked him how he was doing and made some small talk before hanging up.
Patricia and Isaac were already in the car. He was typing away on his phone, probably dealing with work.
She stole a glance at him. This is gonna be trouble. Back when Zachary visited Hendrick, he didn't tell him the children weren't his.
And she chose not to explain it. It was the kids' first visit to the Aniston Residence. She had no idea they were looked down on, so she accepted Zachary's gesture of kindness. Look what that got me into. Now Grandpa thinks Zachary is my husband, but the one I love is Isaac. I need to find a way to explain this.
After Isaac was done texting, he looked at her. "Was that your family? They want you to go home on Christmas, don't they? Want me to come with?" Since they were already dating, he would have to meet her family.
Patricia shook her head. "It's alright." She leaned on his shoulder and asked, "So, what are we having for dinner?" She changed the subject, refusing to talk about the call. It's exhausting.
And he stopped asking. If she wasn't willing to talk, he wouldn't force her. She told him a bit about the situation she was in. She barely talks to her family. It won't be a nice Christmas reunion. Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
"How does Spago sound?" That was his favorite restaurant. Anytime he had to eat out, Spago would be his choice.
"Sounds good. They make good food." Patricia wasn't a picky eater, and Spago was a famous restaurant. Their food was delectable.
He held her hand. Calmly, he said, "Spago's where I had dinner with Dad and Mom lately, so it holds a special place in my heart. But we can go somewhere else if you'd like. So, tell me, what would you like? We can go wherever you want."
