You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 63

In the night, Elijah stood tall and straight, gazing into the distance. It seemed like he was contemplating something or perhaps reminiscing. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

Freya quietly turned around. She didn’t disturb him.

However, Elijah knew she was there from the moment she arrived. He had his pride. Persisting would only make him appear desperate since her attitude was clear. Perhaps there was no other person in the world like that girl in his memory, the girl who once saved him here.

Freya sat alone on a bench in the corridor.

Deck noticed her sitting alone and asked, “Where’s the young master?”

Freya knew but said, “Couldn’t find him.”

Deck sensed that Freya hadn’t gone to look for him and sighed, “Let me find him!”

But then he thought, the old master’s intention was for Elijah and Freya to cultivate their relationship. Asking Freya to find Elijah was perhaps to let them spend more time together.

He changed his mind, “Or should you go!”

Freya looked up.

“I…”

“You are his wife. You should go.” Deck said.

Freya couldn’t refute and had to get up and go. She walked to the backyard, stopping at a distance from him.

In the end, she spoke first, “Grandfather asked me to find you. Let’s go back together.”

Her voice was faint. Elijah heard it, but he didn’t respond verbally. He silently turned and walked away. Freya quietly followed.

Deck saw them off. As he watched them leave, Deck returned and asked Jack Silverton, “Did the young master and young madam have another argument?”

He also noticed that the atmosphere between them was obviously not right.

Jack Silverton also sensed it, “Elijah’s temper is like that. It’s strange if they don’t have conflicts…”

“Should we help them?” Deck asked.

“How do we help?” The old master sighed, “Forget it, it’s better to let things take their course.”

Last time, trying to match them up didn’t work, and Freya got hurt. So, Jack Silverton didn’t want to rush things.

Deck nodded.

On the way back, Freya still sat in the back. She kept turning her head to look out of the window. Elijah drove without glancing sideways. Throughout the journey, they didn’t exchange a word. It was like being strangers. No, even strangers might strike up a conversation. They deliberately ignored each other, maintaining a deliberate silence.

When the car stopped, Freya got out first and didn’t wait for Elijah to enter the house.

Linda smiled warmly, “Have you eaten?”

Freya nodded.

Elijah walked in, passing by Freya without any physical contact. It was an obvious deliberate avoidance.

Linda lowered her eyes, feeling that the couple’s quarrel affected her as a maid. She didn’t dare to speak thoughtlessly.

Freya said, “Linda, I have to work early tomorrow. I’ll go to sleep first.”

Linda nodded, but before letting her go, she held onto her, “Why don’t you try to reconcile with him?”

Freya thought of that night, and she was still frightened. She smiled bitterly, “Linda, you’re putting me in a difficult position.”

Linda also knew that Freya still had a faint mark on her neck.

“Go to bed early.”

Freya returned to her room, took a shower, and prepared to sleep when her phone rang.

She picked it up.

“Freya.” Orion Russo’s voice came through.

Freya made a sound in acknowledgment.

“I called you last time, but you didn’t answer. I’ve been waiting for you to call me back. What have you been busy with? You didn’t even have time to return a call?” Orion Russo’s tone carried a hint of reproach.

Freya had forgotten about this. That night, she really didn’t want to answer the phone.

“Do you have time? Come out and meet me.” Orion said.

Freya glanced at the time, realizing she was still in her pajamas. She said, “How about tomorrow morning?”

“Are you busy now?” Orion asked.

Freya responded, “I’m ready to sleep.”

“Alright, we’ll have breakfast together tomorrow morning?”

Freya agreed.

The next morning, she dressed and went out. Usually, Elijah left earlier than her. Today, she indeed left earlier than Elijah.

Elijah was having breakfast in the dining room and noticed Freya hadn’t come down. He casually asked, “Hasn’t she gotten up yet?”

Linda said, “Madam didn’t have breakfast and went out. She said she had an appointment.”

Elijah subconsciously thought of the man Freya was involved with.

Did she go to meet him so openly now?

At the thought of it, his face gradually darkened. He forcefully restrained himself from paying attention to her, but he couldn’t help it

Elijah closed his eyes, trying to calm down. He took out his phone and made a call.

“Who did she meet this morning?”

The person monitoring Freya said, “Orion Russo.”

Elijah acknowledged and hung up the phone. Knowing that she didn’t meet the man she was involved with, Elijah inexplicably breathed a sigh of relief. Putting down his phone, he could finally eat his breakfast in peace.

Freya and Orion Russo sat in a window-side seat at a tea house. On the table were exquisite breakfast items. After taking a sip of freshly squeezed soy milk, Freya put down the cup and asked, “Orion, did you find me for something? If you have something to say, I still have to go to work.”

“Go to work? Doing what?”

“Dance studio.”

Freya answered.

Orion fell silent for a moment and then asked, “Did you and Elijah have a fight?”

Freya looked up at him, “Did he tell you?”

“No, it’s just that night when I called you, he invited me for a drink. He’s not a drinker, and he rarely does that. But that night, his mood was very bad, I could tell. He was very uncomfortable.”

Freya chuckled bitterly, “He was uncomfortable? Was it because he humiliated me too light, he felt uncomfortable?”

Orion was at a loss for words.

“No, he’s uncomfortable because you pushed him towards Liora Valentine.” Said he.

Freya was instantly stunned.

“What did you say?”

Orion repeated his words and then asked, “Don’t you know?”

Freya knew that Elijah was very angry that night, acting like he had gone mad, humiliating her both physically and verbally. But she didn’t know why Elijah was angry.

So, he found out about her helping Liora Valentine pursue him?

In this instant, she seemed to understand all of Elijah’s resentment.

“I deserve it,” she said, looking at Orion. “I wanted him to be with Liora so that I could leave…”

“But he doesn’t like her. Your actions made him very angry.” Orion said.

He understood Elijah.

“He didn’t kill you; that’s already showing kindness to you.”

Freya bitterly smiled, “If he killed me, I would deserve it. I know that what I did was wrong. I also know that, no matter the reason, after marrying him, I am his wife, and I should do everything a wife should do. But… I’ve made a mistake, and I can’t go back. I can only let it be.”

“Tell me the truth, do you regret it?” Orion asked, clarifying, “I mean, the man you had a relationship with that night, do you regret it?”
