Vengeful Hearts Return Novel by Susan Clyde

Chapter 154

The man had a pair of beautiful brown eyes with deep–set eye sockets that were profound and charming.

His handsome and exquisite face was cold and had a commanding presence.

He was tall and slender. His demeanor was as cool as an iceberg.

Audrey was slightly stunned as she looked at the polite, distant, indifferent, and dignified man in front of her.

Then, she thanked him softly, saying. “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome!” With a slightly aloof attitude, the man nodded indifferently at Audrey. Then, he turned around and left, walking toward the private room.

When Audrey arrived at the private room, Troy was already waiting inside.

g sound of

The antique–looking private room was filled with the pleasant aroma of coffee and accompanied by the captivating the piano.

“Didn’t you say you arrived early? Why are you only coming in now?” Troy poured her a cup of coffee and said gently. Try it

Audrey picked up her cup and took a sip. Then, she said indifferently, “There was an incident at the entrance, so I got held up.”

Troy nodded and did not press further about the incident. Something crossed his mind, so he glanced at Audrey and said, “I heard that scion of the Clifford family comes with you?”

Jadale City was also considered Troy’s territory. His status and influence were genuine. Audrey and Dylan did not deliberately hide their tracks on this trip, so it was not surprising that Troy knew.

“Yeah, Audrey replied indifferently.

“Humph, this man is quite clingy Troy suddenly sneered.

Audrey’s cold and lazy expression curled into a smile. It was considered a tacit acknowledgment of Troy’s remark.

Nowadays, it was as if their identities had been swapped. Dylan was afraid that Audrey would turn around and disappear for seven years without a trace. He wished he could cling to her at all times and keep an eye on her.

The two of them happily had a meal first. After the meal, Troy handed a document to Audrey.

“Take a look. Once you’re done, dispose of it. Don’t let a third person see it. Troy’s expression was cold. At this moment, his demeanor was tinged with the cold sternness of a person in power.

Audrey opened the sealed envelope and took a look at the contents. Her expression darkened slightly.

“Who took my mom?” she asked.

“We haven’t found out yet, but she disappeared once she arrived in ladale City, Troy said. “It’s obvious that the person who took her was extremely cautious, fearing that someone would find your mom’s whereabouts. Also, after so many years, some traces have been erased and can no longer be found.”

It had been over a decade, and any traces left behind would have been mostly erased by now.

Audrey repeatedly read the information on the document a few times before putting it back into the sealed envelope.

“Is it possible that after all these years, my mom is still in Tadale City?”

-Troy frowned slightly. “It’s possible, ladale City is neither big nor small. If someone has the intention to hide a person, I’m afraid it won’t be easy to find that person. Besides, the information indicates that your mom was taken away while she was unconscious. Something else likely happened.”

After thinking for a while, Audrey said, “You search on your end. I’ll get someone to help look for her on my side.

“Alright. There’s a party at the Callahan family’s home in a few days. If you have time, be sure to come by and have a good time.”

Although Troy was not the head of the Callahan family, his status in the Callahan family was even higher than the head of the family. Even in the entire ladale City, everyone would first think of him when the Callahan family was mentioned.

“Sure.”

After the two of them finished speaking. Troy asked Audrey where she was staying.

Audrey gave him the name of her place. Troy did not say anything. He just told her to be careful

He initially wanted to send Audrey back first, but knowing that Dylan’s subordinates were waiting outside, he decided against it.

Audrey asked Troy to leave first. She went to the washroom.

Just as she reached the corner, she bumped into someone. That person was on the phone, wearing exquisite makeup. She glanced Audrey up and down and scanned her clothes, showing a hint of disdain.

Without showing any change in expression, she then quietly took two steps back and distanced herself from Audrey. It was unknown what was said on the phone, but the woman frowned as she spoke.

“I’m fine,” she said. “I was bumped into by someone just now. You mentioned earlier that Mr. Clifford has come to ladale City.

Is that true…”

Wearing high heels, the woman walked away gradually. Audrey could vaguely hear that woman’s voice. When she heard the woman mention Mr. Clifford, her gaze paused for a moment. Then, she walked toward the washroom.

When Audrey came out of the washroom and was about to walk toward the entrance, she passed by the door of a private room and happened to see the door open.

A tall, slender, and upright figure walked out of the private room. Upon seeing Audrey, that person was slightly surprised as well before giving a slight bob of his head.

“Hello!”

Audrey nodded politely at the man and said, “Hello!” Her gaze swept across the man.

“Sir, you’re not from Chritonia?”

The man was stunned. His deep brown eyes were icy. His face remained handsome and cold. Then, he said, “Yeah. I’m from Britamland.”

“Britamland?” Audrey said, glancing at him in surprise.

“Yeah. Miss, have you been there before?” The young man looked at Audrey, his handsome face displaying an air of elegance and aloofness.

“I’ve been there a few times. Audrey nodded. Her cold eyes narrowed slightly, making it impossible to tell what she was thinking

The two of them had already arrived at the entrance of the restaurant. The young man stopped in his tracks and looked at Audrey. “I’m Hansel Majest. Nice to meet you!”

“Audrey Hernandez!” Audrey looked at HanselThis belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.

“See you around, Ms. Hernandez!” Hansel nodded. When he heard Audrey’s name, his expression was as indifferent as ever.

Audrey frowned slightly when she heard the words “see you around, but she still said politely. “Goodbye!

She watched Hansel’s retreating figure for a long time, feeling that he was not an ordinary man.

After a while, she walked toward the car.

As soon as Audrey went over, Dylan’s subordinates immediately opened the rear door for her respectfully.

When Audrey sat down, she saw Dylan sitting in the backseat, feeling slightly stunned.

At this moment, his expression was not pleasant. His handsome and cold face was covered in a layer of frost. His dark and deep eyes looked at Audrey coldly. He exuded an aura of oppression, which was cold and had a sense of threat.

Seeing Audrey enter, his aura could not be restrained in time.

It was not until Audrey spoke that the sense of chill and threat around Dylan immediately subsided.

“How come you are here?” she asked.

“I’m here to take you home,” Dylan said, staring at Audrey with a somber gaze and a gloomy expression that was difficult to interpret. He had not spoken for a long time, and even his voice was a little hoarse.

Even though it was clearly a normal remark, Audrey still detected a hint of cautious restraint and grievance in his words.

This was especially the case when she heard the word “home“. Her eyes flickered slightly.

“When did you arrive?” Audrey looked up at him and asked indifferently.

Dylan pursed his lips. His deep black eyes were still looking at Audrey with a somber look. He said nothing.

It was not until Audrey lost some patience and frowned at him that she heard him speak.
