Chapter 775

Chapter 775:

“Oh, no need.”

“Really, you do not have to go out of your way.”

“Come on, guys! Don’t turn me down!”noveldrama

“Well, alright then.”

“Thanks a lot!”

Hadley’s brows furrowed slightly as she observed Megan. She carried an air of delicacy and warmth, yet beneath that gentle exterior was an unmistakable assertiveness—someone not easy to deal with.

During free practice, Hadley kept an eye on the group. Everything was progressing smoothly, and Megan was quickly finding her rhythm. Stepping outside for a breath of fresh air, Hadley allowed herself a brief respite.

Her phone rang—it was Eric.

“Hello.” A soft smile touched her lips as she answered.

“Same routine tonight?” Eric’s voice held a deeper timbre than usual. It carried a different sort of appeal.

“Mm.” Hadley pressed her lips together in acknowledgment.

“Alright. I will pick you up once I’m done. Keep an eye on your phone, and make sure you answer when I call.” His tone was firm, brooking no refusal.

“Got it.”

The moment she hung up, a small group approached, followed closely by several men. Their collective posture signaled the presence of someone important.

Curious, Hadley glanced over.

Her heart nearly stopped. Addy Holland.

Hadley had been researching him these past few days out of concern for Elissa. As a revered master of painting, his profile was extensively documented. Her pulse quickened. She swiftly pulled out her phone, checking his photo once more, and then looked back at the elderly yet graceful man before her.

No mistake—it was him.

As Addy moved further away, encircled by the crowd, Hadley could no longer hold back. She rushed forward.

But the entourage surrounding him made it impossible to get close. Desperation pushed her to call out, “Mr. Holland! Mr. Holland!” The crowd halted.

Every head turned in her direction.

“Mr. Holland.” Hadley stepped forward quickly, offering a respectful bow. “I apologize for the sudden approach. I am a friend of Elissa’s.”

“Oh?” Addy’s eyes twinkled with interest as he studied her. “Elissa’s friend, you say? And what is it you wish to ask?”

There was warmth in his demeanor—an openness that put Hadley at ease. She exhaled softly and got straight to the point. “I wanted to ask… is Elissa doing well these days?”

“Hmm.” Addy hesitated for a moment, then smiled and shook his head. “I suppose she should be fine. To be frank, I haven’t seen her in almost a year. Judging by your question, you haven’t seen her for some time either, have you?”

Hadley froze, caught off guard. “Yes… it has been a while.”

Addy nodded with an easy smile. “Young lady, when you have the time, why not visit with Elissa?”
