Their Magical But Deadly Journey

CHAPTER 11

ANTRICUS’ POV

AFTER I left Sazharina’s house, I immediately went straight to Josh. I have to learn new words in the world of people again.

If I want to stay here, I must know some human words and behaviors first.

And Josh is the one I need.

Josh is my human friend. He was the man who saw me using my power the first time I came here to the human world. I had to visit here to ask for a girl’s birthday wish.

Unfortunately, someone saw me using my power. And

that was Josh. But I just thanked him that he wasn’t afraid of me or that he didn’t spread the word to other people that there was a fairy wandering around in their world.

What he said was that their family believed in creatures like me and that it was normal for them to see fairies, ghosts, or even goblins. In fact, he even talked to me and I myself was scared of him instead of him being scared of me.

Since then, we became friends. He always teaches me people’s words when I visit here. It was like he became his teacher and I was his student.

Years of learning, I learned to adapt to people’s environment. I learned the habits that I must cultivate if I don’t want to get hurt. And most of all, I learned to behave as a person.

Because of my powers, I got to Josh’s room. And as expected, he wasn’t even surprised that I suddenly appeared in his room. Because he always tells me that he feels the presence of people like me.

And he said that I was his only fairy friend so he got used to me.

“Oh, pre, what is your mission here? It looks like you made a wish again,” he said to me when I appeared in front of him.

One more thing about him, he also likes me to tease like Gabriel and Isaac.

“I just visited a friend.” He turned to me because of my answer.

“A friend?”

I nodded before sitting on his bed. “I just came from their house.”

He looked at me in shock as if he couldn’t believe what I said. I can’t blame him though, I just told him that I visited a ‘friend’ because he knows that I only come here to their world when I need to grant a wish.

His eyes narrowed as if examining what I said. After a while, he grinned so stupidly that I couldn’t help but roll my eyes.

“It’s not what you think, Josh,” I quickly shrugged.

“I didn’t say anything.” He was still grinning so I looked at him evilly. He didn’t care about that because he just laughed at me.

This guy is getting on my nerves. He was worse than Gabriel and Isaac. If these three will be together, I swear it would be a damn riot. Maybe even if I’m a fairy, I’ll die early.

Fortunately, I need something from him now.

Speaking of…

“Anyway, I have a favor,” I said after a while.

“Spill.”

“I want you to teach me some human words again,” I requested.

His forehead creased, confused. “Why?”

I averted my gaze on him. “J-just teach me, p-please?”

He was still looking at me full of wonder until he seemed to realize something.

“Hmm, something’s up…” He said with a grin.

“Hey, I’m not in love!” I was quick to defend myself but I realized what I said too late because he was teasingly looking at me now while still grinning like a dog.

Damn it.

“I’m not saying anything, you’re too defensive,” he said with a grin.

“Tch! Just teach me, please?”

He smiled but the teasing was still there in his eyes.

“Alright, your highness.”

“JOSH WHAT THE HECK FUCKING SLOW DOWN!!!”

I was panicking because he was driving his motorcycle so fast that we almost ran into each other earlier. It didn’t matter to him because he didn’t say a word but I knew he was smiling even though I couldn’t see it because of what was in our heads that I don’t know what it was, but he said we could use it so no one would recognize us on the road .

Fortunately, no car was chasing us with red and blue lights.

What do they call that thing again? Oh, a police…

But I almost cried because he sped up running even more that he almost surpassed Sazharina’s running speed earlier.

God, I almost took my life twice just because of riding a motorcycle.

After a few moments, the speed of our motorcycle gradually slowed down until it finally stopped in front of a building that was completely destroyed. There were also cracks in the walls as if something bad had happened. Even though its roof is still in good condition, it cannot be denied that it is really old.

As far as I remember, this is the abandoned building that Josh once told me about.

But what are we doing here?

“Come on, bud.”

I looked at Josh when he tapped my shoulder and invited me in. I looked back at the building and hesitated whether to enter or not.

It’s not that I am scared to enter this abandoned building. Heck, I’m a fairy, so why would I be afraid to enter this? My concern was that it is almost evening. In a few minutes it will be dark and I have to go back to our world because otherwise, I will be dead to my father.Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

After all, what I said was that I was here quickly and would return to our world immediately but it took me a few hours.

I was brought back to reality when I felt a tap on my shoulder again.

“Hey, come on,” Josh said but I didn’t answer. “Is there a problem?” He asked me calmly. He must have noticed my bickering to went inside.

I just shook my head. I looked back and forth between him and the building before sighing. Maybe we will stay inside for a while.

“Alright, let’s go,” I said.

He just smiled before we continued, but first we broke a yellow thing on the way. I even read the writing ‘Do not enter. Private property’. I don’t know what it was for but I just followed Josh.

When we reached the entrance of the building, I was shocked when Josh turned something and in a flash I saw the inside of this building. I just stared in shock because there were so many people working around. I can still hear something clicking.

“W-what is t-this, Josh?” I shockinly asked him.

He just grinned. “Surprised much?”

I quickly nodded at him while still gaping in shock so he couldn’t help but laugh.

“This is my company, Cus. This is where I work everyday.” He looked around the entire place so I couldn’t help but look around too. This place is really big and there are many people working around.

“B-but why does this look like an abandoned building on the outside?” I asked.

“That was the exterior design of this building. I customized the design to look like that. I myself made the cracks around it, the other cracks to make it look old. And the door? That was also included in the costumed so it’s not obvious that there’s a door.”

I would nod even if I didn’t understand much of what he said because what he said was unfamiliar to me. However, I looked around in amazement. It was mind-blowing. I’ve never thought of such an idea.

“Why did you do that?”

“Well, to tell you a secret, my company is a multi-billion building. It makes billions of money. And many people feast on my company, that’s why I made a disguise. I dressed this company to look like an abandoned building. I only come here every afternoon so no one sees me,” he explained.

Damn, this information was too much to absorb. Josh and I have been friends for a long time but he doesn’t even mention anything like this to me. And I’ve never thought that he was a multi-billionaire man because they only lived in a small house with his family.

I almost thought they were poor.

I frowned at that thought. “Why didn’t you tell me about this?”

He grimaced when he heard the hum in my voice. “Sorry, bud. We don’t have time to come here every time you’re here with us, eh.”

I just rolled my eyes at him playfully so he laughed.

“Do you want me to tour you around?” he offered.

I was about to agree but I remembered what I told my father that I would go home soon.

Shoot, I’m dead now!

“Damn, I can’t, Josh. I am definitely dead to my father now!” I said in hurry.

“Let’s go! I’ll take you to your tunnel.”

Josh and I quickly left the building and got on his motorcycle. I just thanked him for running quickly because we arrived at Sazharina’s house where my tunnel is.

“Wait.. Is this your ‘friend’s’ house you mentioned earlier?” Josh asked as we looked at Sazharina’s house. We parked far away from their house because someone might see us.

“Uh… yeah.” I looked away because I could feel him teasing me again.

“The next time you go here, visit me immediately, okay? You have a lot to tell me.”

I smiled. “Sure thing, bud. I gotta go now! Bye!”

I just tapped him before he completely disappeared. Josh is used to such scenarios so he is not surprised anymore.

In the blink of an eye, I was here in front of Sazharina’s tunnel. I quickly looked at his room but immediately left.

“Let’s meet on the next day, Queen. Be careful always.”

And I entered the tunnel.

I just hope myself for the best when I get home.
