The Twin Alphas Warrior Luna (RYN)

Warrior 135

THEON

The moment we arrived at the Lunar Hall, Chelsea had been more than eager to stand on the red carpet and take pictures. Dressed in a designer green gown, she clung to my arm and showcased herself as my woman.

This got everyone buzzing with gossip and curiosity at who Chelsea was.

'I thought he swore off women? Who's this one?"

'I guess he's not dating that Ryn girl.

'Yeah. A shame. I was kind of shipping him and Ryn together though.'

"Why is this blonde girl clinging to him like that? She looks desperate.

Chelsea frowned as the murmurs got heavier and it was not in her favor.

'She can't even come close to Ryn.'

'This one is a potato compared to Ryn. I wish Ryn and Prince Theon would get together. They'd make cute babies.

My lips almost tilted at that.

'Isn't Ryn like too young? Maybe Prince Theon wanted someone more his age?'

'Isn't Ryn like controversial for beating up a girl?"

"Come, let's go." Chelsea forced a smile for me as she held on to my arms tightly. I nodded curtly, leaving the red carpet with her.

As we crossed the hallground towards the double doors, I couldn't help but wonder.

How did people know about Ryn and I? I don't think I have been in public with her enough for people to piece things together. So how did the rumor spread that I was dating her? To the point that I have fan clubs rooting for us? I felt pressure in my head, heavy on my thoughts. Maybe Ryn spread the rumor herself so she could come between my wife and I.

I pinched the bridge of my nose, trying to tell what's real or not.

I decided I'd think about it later.

As soon as we entered the hall, everyone watched us with the same level of confusion and curiosity as the people outside. The more we paraded ourselves as a couple, the more I could tell people were sort of disappointed. '

I don't blame them. My previous mate had been stunningly beautiful and had matched my persona but Chelsea, despite being easy on the eyes, was nowhere near the standard of beauty I have been with.

I was standing with Chelsea, nodding along to a conversation with the socialites, when I felt it—a faint stir deep within me. My wolf, usually dormant and silent, was suddenly restless, weakly clawing for attention. It perked up, searching for something, someone.

Then, like a winter frost creeping in, a chill coursed down my spine. The warmth and noise of the hall dimmed, like someone had muted the world around me.

I turned, slowly, as if drawn by an invisible force. And then I saw her.

Ryn Ashmore.

She didn't just walk-she commanded the room, dressed in a stunning gown of red and ash black that clung to her like sin.

The diamond necklace around her throat gleamed like it belonged to a queen, and somehow, she made it look worthy of her. Her chin was raised in defiance, her every step a challenge.

She stopped in front of my father and his friends, lifted a glass of champagne and raised a glass to them before taking a sip.

Why do I find that hot?

And why can't I take my eyes off of her? I should be in love with Chelsea? Right?

The pressure in my head got heavier, starting to give me a headache.

Chelsea is the love of my life and Ryn is the... seductress trying to come between us.

I should stay away from her.

Yet, I couldn't take my eyes away and when I watched Adam kiss her hand, my fingers twitched.

Then her eyes slid to my mine and my breath hitched. My wolf surged forward, wild and needy, but I pushed it back, clenching my fists.

A memory flashed through my mind - an image of us in the kitchen of the Cresswell mansion. She's dressed so temptingly seductive in cute pjs, approaching me with a knife and I think I was trying to resist her. Another flash, and we are kissing on the kitchen counter.

Another flash and she's straddling me in bed, grounding her wet pussy aginst my rock-hard erection.

"Mate." My wolf weakly said.

What?

Before I could react further, lightning struck in my head and I closed my eyes, slightly groaning in pain.

"Baby, what's wrong?" Chelsea asked, lightly touching my arm. Somehow her touch made my skin crawl but I restrained myself from jerking away.

"Nothing. Just a headache." I smiled at her. "Excuse me, Darling. I have to go to the bathroom." I said to her.

When my eyes landed on Ryn again, I found her standing alone, watching me, and by the gods, I felt the urge to cross the room towards her.

What will I do if I get to her?

Will I strangle her like the poisoned part of me wants to? Or will I fall to my knees and worship at her feet?

"Mate."

Why does my wolf keep saying that? Ryn can't be mine when I've already met Elizabeth.

"Honey?" Chelsea's voice came up behind me. "I hope you remember that Ryn is bad news."

"Yea, sure." I replied, tearing my gaze from Ryn and forcing my limbs to walk away.

By the time, I arrived at the bathroom, I was feverishly hot on the inside.

I checked all the bathroom stalls and when I made sure no one was there, I locked the main door and loosened my bow tie. Breathing hard, I washed my face before planting my hands on the marble bathroom counter. Then, I stared into my own eyes.

I should hate her. Ryn. That's...that's what this voice at the back of my mind is saying. That's the urge I have to hate her, because... she wants to steal me from the love of my life.

Right?

A flash of Ryn licking my earlobe during training occured.

Fuck. I squeezed my eyes shut.

Ryn is a seductress sent to take me from the love of my life.

Who is the love of my life again?

"Mate." My wolf pined weakly and brought back memories of us at the Lycantide High, biting her lip, watching her sleep, watching her train, watching her eat and then watching her strut into the hall in that elegant dress.

Pines and needles raged inside my skull making me grip my head in pain. When I looked back up at my reflection, I found blood trickling down my nose. So I quickly got some toilet paper and cleaned it off.

I know what this is. My wolf is used to her due to the effects of the Moonstone. There's no way Ryn is my mate. Second chances don't exist. My wolf is confused because it's been drugged. That's..that's the narrative I'm going with. "Then why do we still feel attracted to her?" My wolf impressed upon my mind. "The Moonstone is gone. This. is real."

My mind became a storm of questions. "If Ryn was my mate, then why haven't I felt sparks with her and heard her unique scent?"

My wolf stayed silent giving me a winning edge. I sighed, feeling somehwat relieved.

Ryn is not my mate. My wolf is just confused.

With that thought, I checked my nose one last time, before reknoting my bow tie and leaving the bathroom.

"Do you also believe Ryn to be our enemy?"

I paused, as I entered the hall and like iron to a magnet, my eyes found her in the midst of the crowd. It was dancing time and I caught her looking down at another man who was kissing her hand.

There was something about the way she looked down at him, like she was a half-amused goddess whom a peasant has begged for a dance.

Even her smile of approval was smug and why for fuck's sake does that turn me on.

They seemed to be in a discussion and as I wondered what the actual fuck they could possibly be talking about, I really Ryn couldn't dance and the man was patiently teaching her.

'I should go break them up.' I thought to myself as I waded through the crowd towards them.

I have no interest in Ryn. I just... I just...I have a responsibility to make sure my students practice safety and Ryn dancing with a complete stranger who has his gnarly hands on her fucking waist?!.... Is not safe. Just a few feet away and Chelsea blocked my way.

My eyes cut to her and my anger suddenly tempered. I blinked wondering why I was so keen on Ryn when I have such a pretty wife.Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

"Ask me to dance." She extended her hand to me and I took it. Then we were on the dancefloor, dancing moderately slow to a song. Chelsea clung to me as we danced while my eyes searched the dancefloor for her.

To my annoyance, Ryn was still engrossed in her conversation with the man, then the music picked up and he started spinning her around.

Ryn spun with grace, her smile radiant, and as she turned around and around, her eyes found me - and that's when I knew that mate or not, enemy or not, this seductive little goddess already has my heart.
