THE REMORSEFUL BILLIONAIRE

CHAPTER 11

Judith’s POV

I was really dumbfounded when the mighty and sophisticated Nathan Everton apologized to me. He has always been known for his rude personality and nasty temper, everyone feared him, and his sudden apology made me left me speechless and stunned for a while.Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

I guess he isn’t that bad after all; he must have an iota of conscience and human feelings.

“it’s okay sir. I’m partly to be blamed too”, I managed to say.

“I will try to be professional, and I hope you can help me too. It’s my first time working in an environment like this”, I added.

“Okay, you can get back to work then”, he said.

I was about leaving when I said, “I really appreciate your apology sir. It made feel better, thanks so much. He just nodded, and flashed me a killer smile before I dashed out of the office.

“Oh goodness, the job can’t be that bad,” I giggled as I stepped into my office.

I logged in on the laptop and emailed him his schedule for the day. As I reviewed the schedule, I saw he had several meetings and appointments for the day without a break.

“What a busy schedule”, where does he draw his strength from? Maybe that’s the reason for all his grumpy actions? I suddenly felt pity for him. When he is angry, he looks like an asshole and a jerk. But when he’s quiet, he looks like a lost puppy that wants to go home.

The rest of the day went well but was so tiring as I keep accompanying him from one meeting to another without a break or rest.

In some meetings, he smiled and give accolades to the staff and board members, while in some, he shouted at them and criticize them. Every actions had a reaction, and I must say that he seemed highly professional and capable like he was born for the role.

After the meetings, I was sitting trying to get some rest when a classy and beautiful young lady walked up to me. She exuded class and royalty, and her cologne filled the whole building, smelling like petals.

“Good afternoon, ma’am”, I greeted.

“Good afternoon. Is Nat in?” She asked casually

“Sorry who?” I asked

“Sorry, I mean, your boss”, she said and smiled

“Yes he is around”

“Please tell him Jessie is here”

I picked up the phone and informed him, I told him her name and he told me to send her in.

“He said you should come in”

“Okay, thank you”, she walked in majestically and I could hear the sound of her heels.

She must be his girlfriend or better still his fiancee. They both complement each other, but the lady seemed nice unlike Nathan, only God knows how she tolerates him. Nathan seems to like her so much because he spoke with so much enthusiasm, when I informed him of her arrival. I have never imagined he’d be a lover boy or even someone who could hold a relationship.

They both came out and hour later whilst I was busy checking and compiling the schedule for tomorrow,” there’s no end to this work, is there?”

“Jessie, thank you so much for helping with the proposal, father would have roasted me alive if not for you, I still got so much to learn from you sis” I heard him say.

Oh, she is his sister, no wonder why she looked like a billionaire heiress. She isn’t only beautiful; she must be very smart for Nathan to want to learn from her.

“Anytime brother, I got you for life” she hugged him.

They moved closer to me, talking about other things and Nathan keeps complaining about his father pressuring nature.

“Your new PA?” she asked Nathan

“Yes, she is”

“Judith, this is my sister and Boss. She is only person allowed to visit me without booking an appointment” he said sarcastically and smiled.

He looked so ravishing, who knows he could pull jokes too.

“Yes, sir”, I answered and smiled.

“Don’t mind him, Jud”, she said casually like she had known me for a long time. Her calling by my abbreviation made me remember and miss Van. She is the only one who calls me that, she she’d call me that every time, especially when there’s gossip to share.

“I’m his sister and nothing more”, she smiled.

“Okay, ma’am,” I answered

“She is so pretty, and I know she’d be good at her job”, she said and looked at Nathan.

“Yes she is”, he said and looked away, as if he was avoiding my eyes.

“I need to run along, Nat” she hugged him again and left

He was about going back to his office when I said, “sir, it’s almost 4PM, I have to close now”.

“Why? I know the closing time is 4pm but I usually stay longer than that ”

“I need to pick my children from school “I said

“You are married? This is actually why I don’t like a female PA”.

“I’m not married, but I have children”.

“What?” He asked, looking astonished or maybe confused, as if he has never heard of a woman who isn’t married but have children…
