The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

Realizing herself, Alexandra bites her lower lips, no one knew about that night and

she didn't want to make a big deal about it.

"Yes he was nagging me about something"

"In the middle of the night"

"I didn't say it's the middle of the night"

"Alexandra!" He states aloud. "Can you at least be honest with me for once? We are mates"

"I don't want to make a big deal out of this"

"Why didn't you lock your windows?"

"No one would dare enter the house of an Alpha to steal. The guards will catch them"

"What about your sister's case? Have they caught the rogues?"

Alexandra scoffs. "You certainly an expert at pissing me off"

"Is it working?"

"Maybe"

"Then tell me what Adam was doing in your bedroom at night"

"I already told you" stomping her feet on the ground, she moves to a seat

"No you didn't, you are dodging the question"

"Dodging? You're sounding as though I am cheating"

"I didn't say that"

"Your words implied that"

"That's not the point Alexandra, what's so hard in telling me what he was doing in your room at night"

"I already told you, he was nagging me for something"

"What was he nagging you about that he couldn't do in broad daylight"

"Oh he did in daylight and my house"

"Honestly drop it" she states firmly

"I'm your mate, I deserve to know"

"Are you?" She raises her brow "Last I remembered you regret our marriage agreement so do you even have the right to be called my mate"

"Alexandra!" He yells and she gazes into his eyes firm and unblinking "What? Did I strike a nerve? You should have left it when I told you to"

"Only guilty mates would want their mate to stop asking questions about them"

"Just what are you implying?"

"You know damn well what I'm saying"

"I don't! Care to elaborate?"

"Well that's too bad, I don't have the time"

"Nathaniel!" She glares at him

"What? Do you think you are the only one with a heart?"

"I told you to stay out of my business"

"And I did until now. We are mates so there's so much we should know about each other. Ask me anything and I will give you an honest response but when I ask you, you play around"

"Play around? Sounds as though I was a child"

"Call it what you want"

"You are the one who wants to ask questions, I have nothing to ask you"

"Why? Every other mate would ask each other questions. That's what normal couples do"

"We are not normal"

"I beg your pardon"

"We are two people who the moon decided to attract their wolves together to become mates and then you and I thought we could make that happen by entering into a marriage agreement"

"Just what are you implying?"

"That we are not married so stop acting as though we are, we are just mates" "Come with me to my pack"

She bites on her lower lips wondering why he still brought this up when she had already given him a response and doesn't think her mind would change since she was mad at him.

"Aren't we way past this?"

"And I told you that I don't give up"

"I can see that, you are truly Alpha Nathaniel, at least from the stories I've heard"

"Are you pleased?"

"Hard to say since you keep asking the same thing"

"Until we depart I won't stop asking"

"What if you don't change my mind"

"I can change your mind"

"Is not confidence, I will keep trying till I conquer that's the words of an Alpha"

She smiles averting her gaze to her wrist watch realizes how fast time was flying. Dropping her gaze stares into Nathaniel's eyes searching for something she isn't sure of.

"Did he even call a mechanic?" She thinks to herself

"What about the mechanic?"

Nathaniel glances at the wristwatch. "He should be here any moment"

"Are you sure because that's what you said when I walked in"

"I said that I was going down to meet the mechanic but since you came I texted

them that he should come to my room once he gets here"

"When did you text? I didn't see you"

"You must not see me, just have it in mind that he will be here"

"What if he doesn't?"

"Why won't he?"

"Because you never informed him. Is there even a mechanic?"

"Just what are you implying? That I'm making up stories"

"I didn't entirely put it that way"

"What other way would have made it sound better?"

"I don't know"

"The thing is you doubted my words. Why will I deceive you? What intention could

I have for doing so?"

"I don't know, you tell me"

He runs his hand through his hair, and his face him saddens

"Can you be honest with me Alexandra?"

"About what?"

"If it was your Adam Hawthorn, would you doubt his words?"

"My Adam? Have you lost your mind? Since when did he become mine?"

"Don't you want him to become yours? Isn't that why he comes to your house often and even sneaked into your bedroom"

"Nathaniel!" She yells, enraged. "Don't you ever say that again?"

"Or else what? What will you do to me, Alexandra? Will you stop talking with me

or perhaps you would keep refusing my invitation to come to crimson pack" "You've lost it" she stands up, attempting to walk past him when he holds her arm. "Just where are you going?"

"Let me go" she wriggles out of his hold. "I need air, you suffocate me"

"Really?"

"Yes," she walks past him to the door, holding the knob and attempting to open the door when he shoots sharply. "Does Adam suffocate you as well or do you enjoy his company since you are from the same pack"

Feeling her adrenaline rushes up, Alexandra strides towards him and pushes him against the bed.

"Stop annoying me Nathaniel and listen to me because I am not going to repeat myself. Adam has always meant nothing to me and will always mean nothing to

me so shut the hell up if you have nothing better to say"

Smiling widely, Nathaniel sits upright and Alexandra gazes at her.

"What tickles your fancy?"

"You're cute when you are pissed"

Alexandra scoffs. "You're unbelievable"

Nathaniel opens his mouth to say something when the doorbell rings.

"That must be the mechanic"

Standing up, Nathaniel walks to the door and Alexandra watches him like a hawk,

deep down she didn't believe it was the mechanic.

"Just give me a minute, I will be right behind you"

She could hear Nathaniel talking to the unfamiliar man standing at the door. Alexandra stands up, taking slow yet calculated steps toward the door. Nathaniel smiles as he sees her.

"You're here"

"Yes"

"You should rest, I'm going to head out with the mechanic, I will see you when we

are done fixing the car" He states and Alexandra quickly holds his arm, she observes the Mechanic, without a doubt that he was a werewolf as well.

"What's wrong?"

"I'm coming with you"

"Don't be ridiculous, you can't come with us"

"Why can't I?"

The mechanic smiled, he could tell they were mates.

"Is frigid cold"

"Don't worry about me"

"Alexandra you need to -"

Alexandra shoots sharply. "I'm going and that's finally, you can choose to stay that's your call to make but don't try to stop me, it won't work"

The mechanic laughs. "Let's hurry then or else we might get caught up in the rain"

Alexandra's eyes widened. "Did you just say rain?"

"Yes, is pretty much raining every day that's why tourists have been reluctant to

visit"

Averting her eyes to Nathaniel, she glares. "You could have checked before taking me on a trip"

"But don't worry once we fix your car, you would be on your way. Which pack are you heading to?"

"Guerrero pack"

"That's a long drive, let's hope the roads are not blocked" The mechanic heads

out and Nathaniel looks at Alexandra.

"Are you sure you want to do this?"

"Watch me"

"I will take off my shirt, can you stand it?"

"And so? I've seen a lot so let's go"

Nathaniel frowns. "Who have you seen?"

"Someone who shouldn't bother you" she walks out with Nathaniel trailing behind,

still keen on unraveling who she had seen shirtless.

Staring at Nathaniel and the mechanic as they push out the car from the mud, Alexandra smiles, as the night they had gotten stuck runs through her mind. Inhaling the cold breeze, locks eyes with Nathaniel gawking at her and she clears her throat, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Wow! Is so hot here" she blurts causing the mechanic to look at her.

"Hot out here? Are you sure you don't want to see a doctor?" The mechanic asks

"No I don't need one" she locks eyes with Nathaniel. "Will you stop doing that?"

"Doing what?" The mechanic asks, confused.

"Not you sir I mean him, Nathaniel"

The mechanic glances at Nathaniel and sees him staring at Alexandra.

"Shouldn't you be concentrating on fixing the car instead of gawking at me"

"I'm not looking at you"

Alexandra scoffs. "Are you calling me a liar? I just caught you looking at me, didn't

you catch him, sir?"

"I did"

Nathaniel looks at the mechanic. "How could you say that I'm looking at her, what

eyes did she see me with? She was looking at me to be certain that is how she is convinced that I am looking at her"

"You are right Alpha" The mechanic states

"Sir!" Alexandra states.

"He's not entirely telling lies, you must have wanted his attention as well"

Alexandra rolls her eyes. "Just why would I want his attention, is not as though he's that irresistible"

"He is, Alpha Nathaniel is a Charming young man," The mechanic says

"You're over-rating him since he's your gender or are you from the same pack?"

"No and No. This is our second time meeting, the second time I am repairing his

car"

"Do you want my attention, Alexandra?" Nathaniel asks

"No" she flips her hair, turning around and trying so hard not to glance at him, that

way he wouldn't catch her looking at his perfectly built-up chest.

"You don't have to shy away"

"I'm not shy, just want to enjoy the cold breeze"

The mechanic smiles. "Didn't you say you were hot some moment ago"

"Well I'm cold now" she snaps causing the men to laugh.

"How long have you two been mates?" The mechanic asks

"Not quite long"

"Have you met her family?"

"Yes I have"

"Are you from the same pack?"

"No, I'm from the crimson pack"

The mechanic glances at Alexandra. "Have you met his family?"

"We are working on that"

"You know when werewolves find their true mates is the best time of their lives. They mate and the bond grows stronger day by day. Have you mated?"

"My gosh sir, we only found out we are mates some weeks ago, isn't it a little

early?" She states

"Then you should get married"

"We will when we are ready" she states not wanting to get into details.

"When will you be ready?"

"Pretty soon"

"Where the heart lies is where fate is sealed"

"What do you mean by that?"

"As the both of you spend time together, you will come to understand these words

because by then you will become his Luna"
