The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

Chapter 2: Awakening

Tossing and Turning around on the bed, Alexandra gasps sitting up feeling a little weird, glances at her hands, and hears the sound of her bones breaking. She swallows the saliva forming in her throat, stands up, strolls to the big mirror, stares down at her reflection of herself, and massages her temple.

Pacing around with memories flashing through her mind, Alexandra wasn't sure what was running through her head for she had thought she was still trapped in her nightmare. Running her hand through her hair, in thoughts, remembering the voice whispering in her head. "Second chance. This is another chance"

But Alexandra couldn't fathom what was happening for all she could remember was the cold eyes of Adams, burning through her skin as the sorceress tortured her to death, those eyes hunt her whenever she closes her eyes casting shivers down her spine.

Alexandra lowers to her bed, trembling in her fear, the lightning bolt strike along with heavy wind causing the curtains to brush against each other unevenly. Alexandra stands up, uncertain what was ensuing, and strides towards the door with one thing in her head, walks through the dark hallway with pictures decorating the walls, she floats down the stairs in all splendor and attempts to dash out through the entrance door bumps into Olivia.

Giving her a menacing look, Olivia flips her head, something that has turned into a habit whenever she sees Alexandra.

"Oh is you" Olivia rolls her eyes.

Without uttering a word, Alexandra tries to walk past her but Olivia obstructs her way.

"Don't walk out on me when I'm not done talking to you"

"Sorry I didn't think I saw someone standing there"

Olivia folds her arm. "Of course what can I expect from a naive, stupid girl who doesn't doesn't know anything"

Unsettling, Alexandra takes a step backward, hearing those sharp cutting words, and gazes intently at Olivia, certain she had heard that line although differently, runs a hand through her hair, when memories of the past jump into her mind causing a rush of Adrenaline, Alexandra strikes a hard slap against Olivia's cheek, shutting her up, she departs leaving Olivia, shocked.

As Alexandra catches sight of Adams talking over the phone, she smiles, strolling towards him, with her heart beating fast. Glancing around, Adams sights her approaching and gets off the phone, smiling warmly attempting to engulf her when memories of the past sink through Alexandra's mind, she backs away, terrified.

Adams gazes at her, uncertain. "Are you okay?" He attempts to touch her the second time but Alexandra shifts back as the memories overwhelm her. "You're acting a little weird"

Alexandra massages her temple confused a little.noveldrama

Adams smiles. "Did you ask all the Narcos pack to support me?

Alexandra's eyes widen and wonders why the memories felt so real, lost in between his words that she already knew the next line to, gazes into space with memories jumping into her mind. Adams frowns, gritting his teeth, and quickly holds her arms.

"What is wrong with you? I'm trying to have a conversation here"

"Is it true?"

"What?"

"Do you love Olivia? Is that why you are so fond of her?"

Adams glares at her for a moment, a lot of emotions run through his mind. "What sort of insult is that Alexandra? Are you seriously doubting what I feel for you? I love you, Alexandra Guerrero, you are the only woman that I want, the only one who I want to be my Luna but If you are doubting what I feel for you then I should just let you be" He exhales

Alexandra breathed out, her heart squeezing, never would she have wanted to hurt him for deep down she knew he loved her but the pictures in her head, the memories hunting her were too real to be just a nightmare. Alexandra breathes in, letting the cold breeze skin into her body for a long moment, Adams observes her intently hoping to know what was running through her mind.

"Come let's head inside, I need to speak with your Father"

She tenses up, overwhelmed by the memories invading her mind, and strolls back into the house with Adams, as they walk in through the entrance door, bumps into Veronica and Olivia, standing by the stairs. Glaring at Alexandra, Veronica strides towards her.

"Just the person I was waiting to see you. Explain to me why you would lay your filthy hands on Olivia. What gives you the right to hit her"

Alexandra gawks at Veronica searching for the right words to say, Olivia sobs rushing towards Adams, and begins to cry.

"You have no idea what she did to me"

Adams blinks his eyes and tenses. "What happened?"

As Olivia attempts to say something, Bernard enters, seeing Olivia in tears, glares at Alexandra.

"Stop maltreating Olivia" Bernard gazes at Adams "Come with me to the study, let's discuss" Adams nods affirmatively, walking towards the study. Bernard lurks eyes on Veronica. "You should learn to teach her a lesson" He departs.

As Bernard and Adams disappear, Olivia wipes her tears and lurks eyes with Alexandra.

"Now you've suddenly gone mute, thought you were acting all high and mighty earlier" Olivia glances at Veronica and she gazes into Alexandra's eyes with Alexandra staring back, her eyes void of emotions.

"You should know your place in this house! How dare you hurt my daughter? Are you out of your mind?"

Alexandra gawks at them, unable to move her speech, Veronica scoffs pissed off, she disliked her speaking but loathed her silence even more for it creeped her out.

"You won't talk, that's fine" Veronica attempts to poke her head but pushes the thought aside seeing the cold look in Alexandra's eyes. "Go inside the kitchen and wash all the dishes in there and when you are done washing them, rewash them over and over again till I tell you to stop"

Alexandra walks towards the kitchen, the creaking of the door sends shivers down her spine with memories flashing through her mind. She begins washing the dishes and cleaning the utensils till they were sparkling but Alexandra wouldn't stop there, she knew Veronica would make her do the dishes till midnight and she just couldn't take it anymore as the nightmare haunted her, all she wanted to do was speak with Adams. Deep down she still trusted him over the pictures in her mind whispering strange things to her, wiping her hand, Alexandra dashed out of the kitchen, walked up the stairs, and about to corner into the hallways, gasped, gawking at them.
