The Persistent CEO Wants A Baby

Tihana walked down the stairs and made her way to the kitchen where she took out a bottled water and drank from it. Sighing, she put it back and walk away. While making her way back upstairs, Tihana heard the door open and she look behind here to see it was Aiden, looking pale.

“You alright?” She asked and walk back downstairs then approach him and stood in front of him.

“Just coming back after visiting grandfather.”

“Is everything okay? You should be in the office now. You told me you are going to the office after visiting him, did your plans change?”

“Sit. How’s Collins?” Aiden said both words and Tihana went on to sit next to him.

“He’s asleep. Tell me what happened ”

“Grandfather will be retiring, and he wants to hand over all the company to me.”

“Wow! That means more work on your desk. Why did he then tell you at the last minute?”

Aiden shakes his head negatively and was about replying when a maid interrupted them.

“Ma’am… Your phone have been ringing non stop. Sorry I interrupted” she bows her head as Tihana takes the phone from her hand and look at the screen to realize it was Emma calling. Tihana wondered what could’ve happen that she had to call non stop like this.

“What’s wrong?” Tihana questioned immediately, and when she heard a voice from Emma’s end. She stop and stare at Aiden who look back at her with a questionable look.

Tihana took the phone away from her ears and stood up. “I need to go to the hospital. Emma’s mum took an overdose of hard drugs.”

“Let me come with you ” Aiden offered standing up after her.

“You look stressed out.”

“I insist. Let me go with you.” Tihana didn’t want to drag the argument with him any further and so she made her way upstairs to her room, and pick up a jacket.

Then approach the Nannies room.

“Ma! Collins is awake.” Ruth, the head of the nannies announced immediately she saw Tihana.

“I and Aiden are heading out. Please watch him , I’ll be back soon.”

“Alright ma.” Tihana walked away and peek Collins on his cheeks as he giggles happily. She turned and ran out of the room then made her way downstairs.

She didn’t see Aiden and guessed he was waiting in the car and so, she opened the front door and walked out.

Her heartbeat beating faster than usual. Why will Emma’s mum take an overdose?! And since when did she begin taking hard drugs?

How ironic that is!

“Get in, Tihana.” Aiden called out to Tihana who seems to have been swept off by her thoughts.

“Are you seriously going to keep ignoring me? Wayne! Say something!” Diana called out as she knocks on his door. They’ve arrived back about five hours ago but Wayne haven’t said a word to her.

He had claimed to be tired and needed to rest but Diana knew that was nothing but only an excuse.Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

“Open the door Wayne, or I’ll leave and won’t come back.” She threatened and even tho she didn’t mean what she said, she knew Wayne would surely not want her to go away.

And she’s right because Wayne opened the door immediately, looked at her and sigh then walk back in and sat on the bed.

“I told you I wanted to rest. You don’t have to make too much fuss like that ”

Diana stood there for a while, leaning on the wall as she looks down at him. She moved forward later and attempted to touch him but wayne moved away. Much to the surprise of Diana.

“Why are you so mad at me?! Why!! You don’t expect me to know that Damon was your older brother right? Why should you be mad at me !?”..

“I never said I’m mad at you.”

“You ain’t?! Then tell me Wayne, why are you avoiding me? Why!!!”

“Stop screaming!” Wayne yelled at her and stood up, with that heavy look on his face.

“I told you am not mad at you. That should be enough.”

Diana stood and stare at him in disbelief. No, Wayne didn’t just raise his voice and talked to her like that.

There’s always a first time for something right? But why does this hurt so much that she wished she could just slap him so hard on the face and cry her eyes out later?

She stare at him in disbelief and all she could do was just to run out of the room, she wasn’t going to stay put here.

And so she headed outside and get into her car, without blinking an eye she drove off.

Back in the room, Wayne watched as Diana run out and he couldn’t even attempt to stop her. He paused and wondered why exactly he was mad at her. Or maybe, he wasn’t actually mad at her like he told her but had only allowed his anger for his brother to get the best of him.

“Ahhuch!” He scream and kick his right foot.

What did he just do?

“Emma, what happened? ” Tihana questioned as she ran down the hall way to meet up with Emma whose eyes look heavy already.

“She took an overdose.” Emma answered and sniff.

Tihana could tell she was holding back her tears and trying not to make Tihana pity her.

“It’s okay. Where’s she? Have the doctor reported back if she’s okay? ” Emma nodded negatively.

“We should wait then.” Tihana said and led Emma to sit down while she walk over to Aiden who was standing and looking at them.

“I think you should go back home. I’ll take care of her.”

“Will you be okay?” Aiden asked and Tihana smiled before nodding.

“If I need anything, I’ll call you. I’ll get back home once the doctor announces she’s out of danger. I can’t let Emma stay alone.”

Aiden nods in understanding. “I’ll see you then. ” And he turned and walk away. Tihana sighed and walk back to sit with Emma.

She wondered what could have gone so wrong that will make her attempt to kill herself despite having Emma here with her.

Had she thought about how Emma will feel loosing both parents in the same year?! Emma can’t save herself neither can she take care of herself yet. She had grown under the shadow of her parents for too long and had just started pulling away recently.

“Don’t worry, Emma. Mama will be fine.”

“I bet she took those drugs because of you.” Emma suddenly said and Tihana stare at her, confused.

“What do you mean by that?.”

Emma breathed and adjust so she could be facing Tihana. “Earlier… She had had a conversation with me about how she’s still feeling guilty about the death of my father. And she proceeded to say that she will continue hating herself for breaking her own family.”

“But she didn’t?!”

“I know. I have tried everything I could to make her understand none of this was her fault. Even tho I had blamed her over and over back then, I learnt to realize that everything that had happened… Was for a reason. I guess the guilt never left her no matter what I say. ”

“Don’t worry, Emma. You won’t lose your mama too, she’ll be fine.”

And just then, A doctor approaches them. “Miss Emma?”

Emma stood up and nodded. “Yes Doc, how’s my mother?”

“It’s a good thing you brought her here earlier. If she had stayed back longer, I’m afraid she wouldn’t have see the lights again. ” The doctor stops and breathed.

“I think she’s going through depression.. anyways, she’s awake and safe. You can go in and see her.”

“Thank you doctor.” And when the doctor was about to walk away , he turned and look at Tihana.

“Ms Tihana Turner?” Tihana raised her brows.

“Do I know you?”

“Oh. I’m Doctor Matthew….. Aiden’s co worker, he talked alot about you.”

Tihana smiled and took his hand for a handshake. Then bow her head and walk after Emma to the ward.

“Mom!! Why do you do that?! Why do you want to leave me alone here, I thought we have talked about this over and over again. Why!!” Emma cried as she held her mother’s hand and look at her.

“Oh My baby .. please forgive me.”

Tihana could have stayed back, but she felt herself tearing up and doesn’t want to stay there any longer. She’s definitely going to join them in the round of crying if she stays there.

And so, she turns her back and walk away. Down the hallway.
