Chapter Nine
“Get her,”
The gorgeous woman said, her finger pointing at me. I watched as the three men stepped forward and forcefully pulled me off the ground, their hands gripping me tight. In all this, Alma was still sleeping damn tight. I wonder if she has an idea that I am about to die. Maybe this is how they do it here.
I quickly glanced at Alma as the men forcefully pulled me through the hallway. We walked in silence until we reached the entrance door. The exact door that I had been banging on yesterday, begging to be set free was now damn open!
And once we stepped on our feet outside, I suddenly felt the cold breeze of the night brush against my face, tousling my hair a bit high. I couldn’t help but smile, taking in a deep breath of the fresh air, and not some odorous smell from in there that almost choked me to death. But then, my smile immediately faded away as I noticed a man standing just a few meters away from us, his back turned towards us.
The vampire lady next to me, despite her stunning appearance, exuded an icy demeanor. With a subtle nod of her head, she signaled the three men to move me forward. I couldn’t make out their conversation, but I felt a mix of fear and curiosity as they began dragging me towards the mysterious man. I couldn’t help but wonder what they had planned.
“She’s here,” the female vampire said, coming to a halt behind the man. Strangely, I felt my body tense as I noticed the man start turning around and to my utmost surprise it was…… it was….. No!!!! It was the grey-eyed man who had killed my father earlier!
My eyes widened in shock, but then a surge of pain, anger, and resentment took over. Fueled by an overwhelming anger that coursed through my veins, I somehow found the strength to break free from the grip of those men. I could feel my emotions taking control, and without thinking, I rushed towards him, aiming for his heart. The wind was blowing very fast around me, intensifying the moment, as if I were caught in a dramatic movie scene. But suddenly, my actions were abruptly halted when I snapped my mind back to reality to find his hand firmly gripping my neck. He stopped me effortlessly as if I were no match for him like I didn’t even pose a threat to him.
Looking at that cold, ruthless face of his it dawned on me that I just signed my death sentence. But still, even in the face of certain death, I didn’t dare to give up. With all my strength, I fought to strike at his heart again despite the other four closing in on us with alarming speed. I could see a look of disgust on his face as I relentlessly struggled to dig my claws into his heart, even though it seemed like a futile mission.
After a few minutes of unsuccessful attempts to harm him, it suddenly felt like life was draining out of my body. I let out a painful groan and suddenly grabbed his right hand which was wrapped around my neck. “Hmmm…” he smirked, enjoying my desperate attempts to break free from his deadly grip.
“Stop!” The woman suddenly spoke up, “The king demands to see her alive,” at the mention of that one statement, I felt the man cursed angrily beneath him before he roughly shoved me away.
“Ahem! *cough cough,” I fell to the ground, holding my neck as I coughed tiredly. Rubbing my neck I kept snarling at the man not even bothering to pound on what the female vampire just said a few minutes ago. Despite the painful burning sensation lingering around my neck, I quickly charged toward him again but this time around I was quickly grabbed by the three men, stopping me from furiously bouncing on the man who raised his brow suspiciously at me. He seemed angry and confused as to why I was targeting him alone.
“Ahh…..!!” I growled angrily, my heart feeling broken remembering my father’s last painful cry before he killed him. I screamed, fighting to be set free. The woman’s expression shifted from frustration to anger, mixed with curiosity. She observed me intently before leaning in to whisper something to the grey-eyed man who was nodding his head in support of whatever she was telling him.
I know that I am going to die, what was I thinking fighting these beats? But at least if I am going to die, I don’t want to die like a coward, even if I won’t make Ava and Vincenzo suffer for what they did to me, at least let me end this demon that killed my father!
“Why didn’t you people trap her wolf?!” The man snapped. I snarled in frustration, baring my sharp canine at him. He quickly shot me a harsh glare before turning his attention back to the woman, “Her wolf is still active inside her,” He explained, giving me an intense look but I growled back in return.Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
As the woman nodded with a smirk and started approaching me, I immediately snapped my head toward her, snarling, demanding her to back off. But with the help of her supernatural speed, she was instantly in front of me in a flash with a dirty smirk playing on her bottom lips. And before I could comprehend what just happened, she nodded to the men behind me and suddenly, I cried out as I felt a syringe pierced into my neck.
I let out a piercing scream, my body giving way as I crumpled to the ground. But just before the darkness could consume me, their sinister laughter echoed in my ears, and I could sense the malevolence etched on their faces. And then everything went black.
