Chapter 0212
Chapter 0212
“Alpha Reagan asked me to move in with me.” I announce grimly and her eyebrows shoot to the ceiling as she gives me a surprised look.
“Did he?” She asks eagerly.
“Yes.”
“And why don't you look happy? That's great news! If he wants you to move in with him it means he's serious about your relationship. Ashanti! Do you know what this means?” She's almost screaming as she asks that question. I shake my head.
“Not really.” This is the property of Nô-velDrama.Org.
“That man has chosen you to be his second chance mate. He's going to marry you. You are going to be the next Luna of this pack! Damn!” The back of my neck heats as she spits those facts at my face.
I know that and I'm happy. I truly am.
“Why the look on your face? You should be rejoicing.”
I nervously scratch the back of my neck. This is not how I expected her to react to the news of me leaving her here to move in with Alpha Reagan. This further proves that Tessa always has my best interest at heart.
“Tessa. I know that and I'm happy, trust me. But me moving in with Alpha Reagan means leaving you behind. You'll have to live here all by yourself. I'm worried you might be lonely.”
Now it’s her time to blush.
Her face suddenly goes red and she shyly tucks a few strands of loose hair behind her ears.
“What's with the sudden shy actions?” I’m a bit confused because Tessa never acts this way. In fact I’ve never seen her shy about anything. If she is now, it means it’s something very serious.
“There's something you need to know.” She says in a small voice and I can't help but smile.
“That look you have on makes me understand it's good news.”
“Oh, it's good news, okay. Very good news.”
“Please spill already. I'm getting impatient.”
“I found my mate.” A small giggle follows that statement. I pause and stare at her in catatonic stupor. My mouth gapes and I'm uncertain whether to breathe or scream.
She found her mate.
Now, that's news of the century!
“Tessa!” I call in a silent scream, my body shaking with excitement for her. I scoot closer and pull her into my embrace, giving her a congratulatory hug. “That's awesome. That's brilliant. I could faint on your behalf right now.” Tears well up in my eyes. When we break the hug and look at each other again, I notice the tears shimmering in her own eyes. “Congratulations! Words cannot describe how happy I am for you.”
“Thank you.” Her voice is a shaky thing.
“Who's he? Do I know him?”
“All too well.”
My forehead wrinkles in surprise.
All too well?
“That's means I know him?”
“Yeah. It's…” She bursts into tears. I get confused again.
“Tessa. Tessa.” I take her hands in mine. “Look at me.” I calmly instruct and she looks at me. There's tears pooling down her eyes like a waterfall. “Take in a deep breath and exhale.” She does as told and repeats the process two more times before she's calm to speak again. “Now tell me who your mate is, I promise I can handle it.”
“It's Delta Kyle.” She blurts out. “My mate is Delta Kyle.” The world stops and spins in another direction.
I lied when I said I could handle it. I can't.
I burst into tears and Tessa starts laughing.
“It's not funny.” I say amidst tears with a crying face. “The news is too awesome for me to bear. Both you and Delta Kyle are my most precious friends and now you too are mated to each other. You expect me not to cry when I hear that?”
“No, I don't.”
I take a moment to pull myself together and wipe my tears.
“When did you find out?”
“Just last night. We met for the first time outside and found out we were mates. It was a bone chilling experience. I nearly fainted.”
“It's a miracle you didn't. Oh Tessa, I'm so happy for you.”
“Thank you. He has asked me to move in with me. He says he can't let his mate stay another day in any of these Harem buildings.”
“Kyle's the kind of person to say that.” I chuckle. “I felt bad about having to leave you all alone. I'm so relieved to hear this.”
“Who would've thought the two girls who were looked down on and bullied the most in this Harem would be the ones to end up with the most powerful men in the pack?” She asks and I can't help but smile.
“Now I understand the statement which goes; “the Moon goddess works in mysterious ways' '. She let us suffer in the beginning only to pair us with good men. We found favour in her eyes.”
“We did. We sure did. Now, the only problem is Alina. She's Delta Kyle's sister. She won't be very thrilled when she hears about this.”
“She's going to try and intimidate you like always. Don't let her.”
“I won't “
“Good girl.”
“Since we're both moving in with our men, how about we spend the day together? We're now free to do whatever ever we want as long as we’re not breaking rules or committing crimes.” She suggests, and I'm in love with the idea.
“I'd love that. Let's change and go for a drive around the pack. I now have access to Alpha Reagan's car and driver. He'll take us.” Tessa squeals excitedly and jumps down from the bed.
“Let's go paint the city red!” She shouts at the top of her voice and we both rush into the closet, giggling like little girls who are up to no good.
We deserve this happiness.
