The Invincible Arthur Gardner

Chapter 82 - A Bold New Direction

Chapter 82 - A Bold New Direction

Upon the arrival of ten new members joining the executive seats at the grand meeting room in the

Brown Company Building, it naturally caused a stir of admiration and raised many questions among the

employees.

The remaining five veteran executive members, however, were not pleased. They felt slighted that

these young faces were now a part of the same circle they had been part of for years. Nevertheless,

they kept their grievances to themselves, knowing full well that Arthur was the one in charge.

"Well, what an eventful day this is!" Arthur exclaimed. "Thank you all for being so enthusiastic about

this big change."

All eyes in the room, as well as those watching via the large screens, were eagerly anticipating Arthur's

next words. Everyone knew that, on that day, he would be announcing the people who would be taking

up important positions in the company.

“I don't want to spend too much time on what I need to say today,” Arthur said, motioning towards the

ten individuals seated in the executive chairs.

"I've been conducting interviews and researching the backgrounds of the prospective executive

members of the Brown Company for some time now, and I'm certain they are the most qualified for

these positions." Arthur said confidently.

He added, "Therefore, I am proud to announce that they will be filling some of the vacant positions

here. To answer any questions and to satisfy your curiosity, I have asked them to do a presentation

after this so that everyone can assess their capability and their plans to move the company forward."

"Wow, it's true," exclaimed someone. "These are the people our boss has chosen to fill the vacancy in

the executive chair."

"I'm familiar with several of these young talents, and even though they were in fairly low positions

before, I can say with confidence that those I know do have quite a lot of potential. Plus, some of them I

know are really hard working people."

Another one added, "Doesn't this suggest that our boss really chooses someone based on their

potential and performance? If the company can treat its employees fairly, I'm sure more and more

people will strive to work even harder, because they will be confident their efforts will be genuinely

appreciated."

Arthur then revealed the company's new line-up on the screen behind him, much to everyone's

surprise. He had placed the ten new people almost entirely in the most significant positions within the

company, and the other five veteran executives were mostly beneath them.

This caused some of the veteran executive members to be outraged at the decision, feeling as though

Arthur had disregarded their experience and instead granted important roles to those with no relevant

experience.

"Sir," someone then raised his hand.

"Yes, please," Arthur granted him permission to speak.

"Sir, if I may be so bold, those new employees may be intelligent, but they lack experience in this area.

Are you certain that entrusting them with such important roles in the company is a good idea? Despite

whatever intelligence they may possess, it is essential to have the necessary experience to do the job

properly. I believe you should reconsider your decision." the man said.

Arthur nodded in response to the complaint presented by the five veteran executive members. Despite

their objection to his decision, he still held them in high regard as they were still committed to working

hard for the company.

"Alright," Arthur replied, demonstrating his willingness to listen. "I'm grateful for any opinions and

complaints you may have about me or the company. A successful company should always listen to the

voices of its employees. I can assure you that all of my decisions were made with careful

consideration."

Arthur then displayed additional data on the screen behind him. “The people I selected have some

leadership experience, albeit not extensive, and have demonstrated their capabilities while working

here,” he continued, “I'm confident that the opportunity I gave them was not a mere bluff.”

The atmosphere in the room was thick with anticipation. Everyone knew that their position within the

company would be reflected in their salary; as humans, everyone wanted to make the most of their

work. So when Arthur stood up to speak, everyone leaned closer.

"And, with this announcement, I want to emphasize that I will be periodically evaluating the

performance of all employees. I will make sure to give proper credit to those who work hard and

diligently," he said before returning to his seat.

"Now, let's hear presentations from the ten people I have selected for their new positions."

After that, one by one, the ten people presented their plans to the company, displaying confidence and

competence in their respective presentations. It was evident that they had earned their places in the

company and that Arthur was right to select them.

Each of them had demonstrated a knack for excellent research and their work performance was

beyond reproach.

The employees who saw the presentation shook their heads in disbelief, as if they had been taken

aback by the surprising revelation.

"They really are the best people this company could find," one of them said with admiration. "I'm proud

that people like them are finally getting the recognition they deserve."

"That's right," the other agreed. "Our boss is really very wise in giving opportunities to those who were

originally only tools for their superiors. They deserve to lead this company."

"I'm also going to work even harder," the other replied. "I want to reach a higher level than this. I'm

increasingly optimistic that this company can become even better than it is now."

"Long live the Brown Company! Long live our new CEO!", they both said in unison.

Once everyone had completed their presentations, Arthur rose to his feet.

“Well done, everyone,” he said with a confident yet friendly demeanor. “I'm sure you all put a lot of effort

into your presentations, and I truly appreciate it.”

"I want to open up opportunities for anyone who still has doubts about the ten people I have selected,"

Arthur said. He continued, "I am also open to hearing any complaints that anyone outside of this room

may have."

The veteran executives in the room could no longer express any grievances, as Arthur's ten people

had demonstrated their expertise and proficiency in a very convincing manner.

After a few minutes, there were no more objections, and everyone was in agreement with the decision

that Arthur had made. Standing up, Arthur gave a warm smile to the people in the room and said, "I

believe we can do even better. I know that this company has an amazing future ahead of us, and I am

confident that together, we can make that dream a reality."

The group applauded in response to Arthur's inspiring words, radiating optimism and enthusiasm for

the future of the company.

Arthur added one final comment before concluding the meeting, "We are on the brink of accomplishing

something this company has never done before."

Arthur had managed to clean up the trash from the company, and now he had hand-picked the people

he thought were best suited to make the company even better. With just a few more weeks of

overseeing the running of the company, he would be free to focus on bigger things.

"I'm almost there," he said to himself.

[You have made a very big move for the Brown Company, Host.]

[Many people have been inspired to do greater things in their life because of it, and you have given

them hope that goodness can still be fought for by anyone.]

[For this big thing, you will get 100 VIP points.]

[System Comment: You have accumulated too many VIP Points, Host. You need an even bigger

challenge to use all of that?]

"Are you sure I only deserve 100 VIP points from this great thing I did, system?" Arthur asked,

furrowing his brows in confusion.

[You have to try to restrain yourself, Host.]

[Besides, you have to be creative because for the same things you do you might get fewer VIP points

in the future.] Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

"Thanks then," he said, "but please don't mention another big challenge or anything similar. Don't you

know I want to enjoy my life in peace?"

[Sure, Host. Therefore, you must do more great things, because you certainly want to continue to

achieve something higher in your life, right?]
