Chapter 531 The Reason for Choosing Grace
Yvette gritted her teeth, seething with hatred. "I never wanted to hate Charles, but that bitch, Vivian, convinced him not to investigate the truth behind the Jenkins residence fire, and he agreed.
"Charles had already sensed something was wrong, yet he chose to listen to Vivian. Even worse, I hid in the shadows and watched as the two of them held a grand funeral for the Jenkinses who died in the fire.
"Vivian put on an act, crying crocodile tears, and even coughing up blood from being stressed and devastated. In reality, it was just the slow-acting poison she had taken that was starting to take effect.
"As for Charles, the moment he saw Vivian coughing up blood, he hastily ended everything. Vivian had done a good job. Except for me, no one in the Jenkins family survived. That fire burned every last piece of evidence to ashes.
"That man also died, so no one could testify. I alone couldn't bring down Charles and Vivian. If Vivian ever found out I was alive, she would've silenced me. All I could do was endure everything and silently plan my revenge.
"Vivian loved Cassie the most, so I had someone whisper in her ear, feeding her the idea that Wesley could only be hers. I wanted her to fall in love with her own half-brother.
"I made her become obsessed and eventually turn into a lunatic. One that would bite Charles and Wesley to death for me."
"And what about the Langleys?" Hector asked. "Why did you swap my sister with their child?"
"Speaking of this, I should mention the reason why I chose Grace Langley." Yvette sneered. "Do you know who Megan Langley is?
"She's the daughter of the man Vivian loved. He had married Grace and even had kids with her, yet he continued his affair with Vivian. However, Megan was born after Cassie.
"Since Megan was born later, I had the opportunity to take her for myself. I used her as leverage to threaten Grace and forced her to do my bidding. But did you think I'd keep Megan with me to let her enjoy a happy life? Never."
Yvonne chuckled sinisterly. "I made Grace the wealthiest woman in Amberton, only to make Selena, whom she had sold as a child, drag her down the pedestal. Selena was a valuable pawn."
"And what does this have to do with Natalie and the Walker family?" Hector held back his anger, but his heaving chest belied his emotions.
"My grandmother kept my family out of this, not wanting to get involved in this messy affair. That was the right choice because all of you are deranged!"
Yvette let out a loud laugh. "You're right. We are deranged. Instead of Charles, Vivian chose that scumbag, destroying the whole Jenkins family because of him.
"Even though Charles suspected that Vivian was cheating on him, he still acted as if he was madly in love with her. He even believed in her lies and never remarried for the rest of his life.
"He even raised Cassie, who wasn't even his daughter, as if she were his own flesh and blood. And Grace? She took the money that scumbag had taken from the Jenkins family to buy a house and raise her children in Amberton, living a comfortable life.
"As for the Walkers, they just watched from the sidelines, not losing anything. In the end, they even claimed the Jenkins family's land and built an amusement park on it.
"From start to finish, only the Jenkins family... Only the Jenkins family was left in ruins and wiped out without a trace."
As Yvette spoke, she burst into laughter.
"Why do all of you get to live such good lives?" she demanded. "Why do all of you get to sleep peacefully at night? I was the only one left from the Jenkins family. The only one!
"I sent Natalie to Grace, then instructed Grace to draw her blood. Finally, the Walkers had no choice but to step in. In the end, you made your move against Grace.
"Now, let me think... What was the most satisfying part for me when your mother went after Grace's family..."
Yvette leaned back against the couch, her eyes narrowing as the corners of her lips curled up. However, there was no smile in her eyes. Clearly, she wasn't truly happy.
"Mrs. Jenkins Senior, you should see a psychologist." Hector stood up as he couldn't listen anymore. "You're dragging your decades-old grudges onto the younger generation,, harming your children and grandchildren. noveldrama

"How are you any different from Vivian? If you're unhappy that my grandmother didn't save you, take it up with her. What gives you the right to harm my sister?
"I don't care about your feud with the Holdens and the Langleys, but the moment you hurt you're nothing but a vile criminal in my eyes."
"Don't get so worked up!" Yvette
sneered at Hector's furious
expression. "I did what I did. So
what? So what if I ordered the nurse to grab your sister to give her to
Grace, and put Emma in your family? What can you do about it? Do you have proof?"
"I do."
Hector's expression was icy. From the moment he stepped into this house, he had secretly started recording on his phone. Every single word Yvette had spoken was recorded.
"Do you think you can walk out of this place alive?" Yvette smirked. "Hector, do you honestly think you're alone in this house with just me and Charlene?"
Upon hearing this, Hector sat back down. "I'm just joking. I don't have any proof."
Yvette merely smirked. "Grace built her fortune in Amberton using the money that scumbag had taken from the Jenkins family. All I did was simply help her along by controlling their daughter's fate.
"As for Laura Reed, everything Cassie had done to her had nothing to do with me. I didn't instruct her to use the Umbrahex. That was her own twisted, vicious doing.
"The only thing I did to Cassie was have her private tutor continuously implant the idea that she should fall in love with her own brother.
"Vivian made Charles promise her that once Cassie grew up, he would let her pursue her true love and marry the man she loved. That was because Vivian didn't get to marry the man she loved. She wanted her daughter to fulfill her regret. But, did you think I would let her wish come true?"
"You're terrifying." Hector stared at Yvette. "Mrs. Jenkins Senior, you're the most terrifying person I've ever met."
"If I'm terrifying, what about Vivian?" Yvette stared straight at Hector. "Isn't she terrifying? She destroyed the entire Jenkins family for the sake of that scumbag of
a man.
"Charles knew that something was wrong with her, but because he loved her, he chose to act like nothing was wrong. He didn't even investigate."
Yvette slammed her hand against the coffee table. "They deserved everything I've done."
"But Natalie was innocent." Hector refused to back down.
"Mrs. Jenkins Senior, you owe my sister an apology, as well as my parents. You stole our sister from us for years. You even turned her into nothing but a walking blood bank for the Langleys.
"You even made us raise Emma, and we treat her as our own for years, only for Sky to end up in prison. Every problem has a root cause.
Hector suddenly raised his voice. "You should've taken things up with whoever harmed the Jenkins family! Why did you involve innocent people?"
He was truly furious. He didn't care how these people played their sick games.
The only thing that mattered was that Yvette had hurt Natalie.
He didn't care why Yvette had chosen Grace for her plan, but everyone who was involved in harming Natalie deserved to die.
All of them.
