The Double or more Life of the Fake Heiress (Mirabella)

Chapter 1437

Mirabella was texting on her phone, ignoring the Cheetah's words about the

anesthetic being of the neural type, which would wear off after an hour. The drugs, originally a gift from Sophia intended for Cassie, were unexpectedly used on these people instead.

Cheetah, slightly relieved that it wasn't poison but still skeptical, asked, "You're not fooling me, are you?"noveldrama

Only after Mirabella finished sharing her location did she look up, her voice indifferent, "I don't have the time to fool you."

Cheetah was left speechless as Mirabella put away her phone and turned to James, "Let's go."

James, who had been standing by her side and saw the temporary task she had just posted online, raised an eyebrow. It was his little lady taking revenge for him.

"Alright, let's head home." James suppressed the emotions welling up inside him, coughed, and took Mirabella's hand, leading her outside.

Their figures, walking side by side, matched perfectly with no sense of discord.

Cheetah collapsed to the ground as he watched them disappear. It wasn't surprising that the Shepherd family was powerful, but that young woman, with an aura as if she had weathered storms of blood, seemed even more daunting than mercenaries.

Despite not seeing her in action, his instincts told him she was not to be provoked.

Cheetah pulled out the long silver needle piercing through his palm, feeling somewhat fortunate. Had it hit his heart, not even billions could save his life.

He didn't know what awaited him. Mirabella had promised to spare him, but not to stop others from going after him. With numerous enemies and a bounty on his head, Cheetah's fate was imaginable.

As Mirabella and James stepped outside, Mirabella withdrew her hand. and took out her car keys. The car lights flashed on. Without looking at James she said, "You must have driven here. I need to take my friend to the hospital."

Sensing her sudden coldness, James coughed heavily, a bad feeling rising within

him. "I might need to visit the hospital too."

Mirabella stopped, turned with a mock smile, "Still acting?"

James remained silent.

Shaking her head, Mirabella refused to entertain the man, especially after seeing his earlier exchange with Cheetah. Had she not intervened, would he have let himself be struck down?

Anger growing, she opened her car door, ready to get in.

James pulled her back, closed the door, and pinned her against it, "I was wrong."

"What could James possibly do

wrong?" Mirabella scoffed, attempting to push him away,

held her tighter, causing

to the

frown, "Let go."

James, however, was in a great mood, resting his chin on Mirabella's shoulder, his

voice cheerful, "I'm very happy right now."

Mirabella retorted, "If you're sick, go get treated."
