Chapter 1426
There was no need to think about it; her phone was definitely taken by Ben.
Lisa sat on the ground, feeling powerless, as if the coldness was about to freeze the blood in her veins.
Just then, a soft click sounded, and the glaring spotlight above her head lit up, instantly slicing through the darkness of the room.
Lisa instinctively raised her hand to shield her eyes, and only after she had adjusted to the light did she lower it to survey her surroundings.
She was in a vast, sealed space, with a large metal bed in the center surrounded by some equipment she didn't recognize.
This place was not unfamiliar to Lisa. It was the secret spot she had discovered
belonging to Ben years ago.
His biological research lab.
Lisa's face, already pale, lost even more color as she lifted her gaze towards Ben, who was slowly walking in from the doorway. He had shed all his disguises, his carefree demeanor now resembling a demon straight out of hell.
As Ben approached, Lisa instinctively shivered and moved backwards, her voice trembling as she spoke, "Ben, what are you going to do? Why...why did you bring me here?"
Ben looked down at Lisa from his towering height, then suddenly squatted down, chuckling lightly, "You're my dear sister, what do you think I could possibly do to you?"
Lisa bit her lip hard, utterly disbelieving his words.
Ben's lips curled into a smirk as he pulled out a smartphone from his pocket-it was Lisa's. Twirling it in his fingers, he simply said, "You know, I'm quite interested in your classmate."noveldrama
Hearing this, Lisa's eyes widened in shock. She glanced at the phone in his hand, quickly grasping the implication of his words.
He wanted to use her against Mirabella!
Those who had entered this lab in the past had never walked out alive.
"Ben, please, beg you, leave my classmate alone. She's just an innocent, ordinary person, with nothing worth your research," Lisa pleaded, her eyes brimming with tears, wanting to grasp Ben's trouser leg but ultimately not daring to.
The word innocent" replaced Ben's casual gaze with a killing intent instant, "Innocent? Do you know why
I was captured? It was all the!?!
your classmate's handy work."
"How could that be..." Lisa instinctively disbelieved.
Ben scoffed lightly, then suddenly pulled down his shirt to reveal a scar from a gunshot wound that had long healed, "This gunshot wound is a gift from her." “That's impossible, you must be mistaken,” Lisa kept shaking her head in denial.
If he had accused anyone else, she might have believed it, but Mirabella? That, she refused to believe.
Ben didn't care w
whether Lisa
believed him or not. He adjusted his
shirt, slowly stood up, and his
menacing aura receded. He glanced at Lisa "Actually, you should be thankful you have such a classmate."
Although Lisa couldn't comprehend the meaning behind Ben's words, she understood his ruthlessness.
After all, she was just his half-sister; otherwise, she might have already died on this metal bed years ago.
Ben unlocked Lisa's phone with facial recognition by waving it in front of her, "What are you going to do with my phone?"
She slapped herself mentally, then continued to type.
What do you think?
