Chapter 325
Chapter 325
But her son’s life was something she couldn’t meddle with.
Over the past three years, Jessica had tried to match her son with countless wealthy heiresses, even
European royalty, but he remained as cold as ice, not even sparing them a glance.
“Mrs. Stirling,” Aurelia greeted with a respectful nod.
Jessica gave her a slight nod in return, then walked towards the backyard, her demeanor icy.
Aurelia could tell that she was not well–liked. Being a commoner, a girl from a humble background, she
knew she wouldn’t be favored by her rich mother–in–law, especially since she was soon to get a
divorce.
Kane was in the study.
As she was about to go upstairs, Laura came over, “Madam, there’s an elevator over here.” “Laura!”
Aurelia exclaimed, hugging her excitedly, “I’ve missed you so much.”
“I’ve missed you too, Aurelia. I’m relieved to see you’re alright.” Laura’s eyes
tears.
“Laura, thank you for taking such good care of Kane.”
welled up with
“Kane is just like his father was at his age. He insists on doing everything himself. He may only be
three, but he’s incredibly smart.” Laura said with a smile.
Aurelia could tell that her two sons, despite looking alike, had completely different personalities. Kane
was introverted and steady, while William was lively and energetic.
Upon exiting the elevator, she ran into Leopold, who was dressed in a casual but elegant outfit,
exuding a sense of laid–back luxury, which showed his stunning good looks.
“Come here,” he called softly.
“What for?” she replied, not wanting to be alone with him.
“We’ve discussed personal matters before. Today, let’s talk business.” He turned around and walked
towards his study. Aurelia followed him, confused.
Leopold sat down on the sofa and pulled her to sit next to him.
She instinctively moved to the armrest, maintaining a distance between them.
Leopold was upset about her attitude, causing him to frown slightly.

The large gap between them on the sofa was like an invisible chasm between them,

constantly expanding as if he would never be able to bridge it again.
“I remember you once told me that you’re a career woman, that you want to achieve financial freedom through your efforts. Has that changed?”
“No,” Aurelia replied without hesitation.
Leopold got a cup of black tea and handed it to her, “The position of Design Department Director has
been kept open for you. It’s a position you earned, and your team is waiting for you to come back.”
Aurelia felt a tug at her heartstrings. She took the cup from him and sipped the tea, “I…” She bit her lip.
Becoming a top designer was her dream, but she didn’t want to have too many entanglements with him
anymore.
Leopold was unhappy about her hesitation and he got upset, like a cloud passing over, blocking the
sunlight.
“I am a man who separates business from personal matters. Our relationship will not affect your work,
and I believe you feel the same. If you’re willing to come back, I will establish a brand for you at Astral Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
Enterprises. If you plan to become a homemaker, burying your talents, then ignore what I’ve said.”
Aurelia rubbed her hands together. She had to admit that his offer was very tempting.
Her brand! That was the ultimate dream of every designer. But…
“Everyone knows about our relationship now. Won’t it be awkward if I go back?”
Leopold raised an eyebrow, “You earned your position as the director through your effort, not because
of our relationship. What’s there to feel guilty about?”
Aurelia sighed. They were about to divorce, and she would soon go from being the CEO’s wife to his
ex–wife. She didn’t know how many strange looks she would have to endure.
While she was pondering, Leopold suddenly closed the gap between them. His handsome face was
almost touching hers, the overwhelming sense of pressure making her nervous. He lifted a finger,
touching her chin gently, “Astral Enterprises is your only choice. You can only be my ally, never my
competitor.”
