Chapter 312
Chapter 312
Aurelia stood there, as if turned to stone, bewildered and lost.
It felt like hundreds of wild horses were racing and trampling in her head, and thousands of sharp
knives were stabbing at her heart. She had never thought that she would run into him hers and now!
“Aurelia!” Leopold pulled her into his arms. Overwhelmed by emotions, his eyes burned, his
shoulders trembled slightly, and his heart roared like a stormy sea, filled with a mix of emotions.
“You finally agreed to see me. Are you still mad at me, blaming me for not finding Liam, so you’ve been
hiding and refusing to see me?”
He buried his face in her neck, desperately inhaling her sweet scent.
She could smell the alcohol on him. He seemed to be drunk, mistaking her for a ghost.
“I’m…not Aurelia. Aurelia is dead.”
“No matter who you are, I won’t let you go again.” He held her tightly, afraid that once he let go, she
would leave, she would disappear.
A tear slipped from his eye, falling onto her neck. The warm moisture made her heart
tremble.
He was untouchable, prideful, and ever so arrogant–the golden boy of Elysium. How could he shed
tears for someone as insignificant as her?
He had never liked her, had he? She was just a person who could be easily replaced.
“Leopold, from the moment I jumped into the sea, our fate ended. All I ask is that you take good care of
Kane, then I’ll be at peace.”
He looked up at her, his eyes filled with pain. “And what about me? Don’t you have any feelings for
me?”
Aurelia looked down, her long eyelashes casting a melancholy shadow on her face.
She had a place for him in her heart. That was all she could do.
She owed Arnold too much. Without him, she and Liam would’ve been gone long ago. She had to Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
repay him.
“We were never meant to be, Leopold. I’m dead, and our connection is severed. You remember me
because of the guilt you feel towards Liam and me, right? We don’t blame you anymore. We’re doing
well now, and you and Kane should live well too. Forget about us.”
With that, she pushed him away, picked up her walking stick, and quickly hobbled away.

“Aurelia-” Leopold tried to follow her, but a sharp pain in his stomach stopped him. He groaned, leaning
on a nearby rock.
“Aurelia, don’t go, don’t leave me!”
Despite the pain, he stumbled after her, but she had disappeared into the night, leaving no trace as if she had never been there.
“Mr. Leopold!” Kevin and his bodyguards rushed over. “Your stomach isn’t well, so you can’t drink anymore.”
Leopold stared into the pitch–black distance, his eyes red. Aurelia, don’t go!
Back in her hotel room, Aurelia’s heart was still pounding, and tears blurred her vision.
Leopold was in Hawaii, on Waikiki Beach.
She had thought she may never see him again in this lifetime. The world was so vast, how could they
still meet? Their connection had ended!
She opened the fridge and took out a can of chilled juice, gulping it down, hoping to stay calm. But her
heart couldn’t be stilled.
Arnold and William were sleeping in the next room. She didn’t want to disturb them, so she went to take
a bath, hoping it would help her calm down.
She heaved a sigh as warm water poured down from above. She hoped Leopold would only see her as
a stranger. Her death, perhaps, was the best resolution for their tragic relationship.
