Chapter 305
Chapter 305
“How should I know? She was with you…” Marcia caught herself mid–sentence, realizing she’d said
too much, but it was too late.
A piercing glaze flashed across Arnold’s eyes, “Auntie, you’ve just given yourself away!”
Marcia struggled to maintain her composure, lifting her cup to take a sip of her coffee, “Arnold,
everything I’ve done is for you.”
Before she could finish her sentence, Arnold drew his gun from his belt, aiming it at her head, “Tell me
again, where is Aurelia?”
.
A shudder of disbelief rippled through Marcia as she stared at him, “I’m your aunt, Arnold! I’ve doted on
you since you were a child, and now you’re pointing a gun at me over a woman! After everything I’ve
done for you, this is how you treat me. You’ve truly chilled my heart!” Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
Arnold grunted, “Are you really doing this for me? Even if Leopold were to die, the leadership of the
Stirling family would never fall onto me. I’d just become the scapegoat, just like I was three years ago!
You must have accomplices, don’t you? Who’s your boss? Which of my brothers?”
There was no way she could pull this off on her own!
Marcia stood up, her gaze unwavering, “When your mother died, I was there. I swore to her that I would
ensure you replace Leopold as the head of the Stirling family. Everything I’ve done these many years
was for you, and you still doubt me?”
Arnold remained unmoved, his expression hardened, “Well, I’m telling you now, I’m no longer
interested in being the head. I just want Aurelia. Either you tell me where Aurelia is, or I’m handing you
over to Leopold!”
Marcia took a deep breath, utterly shocked by this unexpected turn of events.
“She… she’s on an isolated island, twenty kilometers south of Proso Island.”
“I’ll tell Leopold everything if I can’t find her!” With those chilling words, he quickly left.
Upon reaching the island, he soon spotted a cabin. He kicked the door open. Inside, a woman was
nursing a baby.
Arnold had seen pictures of Kane. This child looked a lot like him. It must be Liam!
He swiftly snatched the child from the woman’s arms, pointing his gun at her, “Tell me, where is the
woman you kidnapped?”
The woman raised her hands, trembling, “She was taken away!”
“To where?”
“I don’t know. They didn’t say anything. They just left me here to look after the baby.”
Arnold kicked the chair on the ground over in frustration.
He was still too late!
After they sat in the speedboat, Russell’s voice came from the side, “Should we hand over the baby to
Mr. Leopold?”
Arnold glanced at the baby in his arms, his eyes deep, “We’ll wait till we find Aurelia.”
As the sky gradually darkened, Leopold had searched all the nearby islands but found no trace of
Aurelia,
A large cloud appeared on the horizon. A storm was coming.
But he had no plans to give up. Aurelia must be on one of these islands. She was terrified of thunder,
and he had to find her quickly.
“There are two more islands twenty kilometers to the south. Let’s check them out.”
“Mr. Leopold, the radar shows a boat near the islands,” the pilot said.
Leopold picked up the binoculars.
In the distance, on the raging sea, a sailboat was aimlessly drifting. A woman was tied to the high mast
of the boat.
He took a closer look. The woman’s beautiful face gradually became clear. It was Aurelia, his Aurelia!
His heart almost burst in his chest.
Her eyes were closed, seemingly unconscious. She was strapped with a bomb!
His heart twisted in his chest as he quickly ordered the helicopter to fly over.
The winds on the sea were getting stronger, causing the mast to sway.
Aurelia gradually woke from her stupor, a familiar voice ringing in her ears.
“Aurelia—Aurelia——”
It sounded like Leopold. How could he be here? How could he possibly be here?
