The CEO’s little ones

Chapter 282

Chapter 282:.

One employee walked by.

“Good morning, Miss Hay…”. Said one of them.

The other dragged him away before he finished speaking. “Didn’t you see that Miss Hayden was flirting with her boyfriend?”

The other sneered, “You idiot!”.

Hayden kept her gaze down even when the employees were gone.

Embarrassed, she rubbed her cheek.

“You’re shy, you’re so red in the face.”

“I’m not!” She groaned, “It’s because of Belinda, I’m just angry.”

“Is that so?”

“It is.” She coughed dryly, “Mr. Finance Department Director, you must now register with the Personnel Department. There is a procedure in our company that you must follow.”

“You didn’t follow the procedure when you hired me.” Said Joseph, “People here are still going to think I got the position through the back door regardless of whether I respect your policy or not.”

“The whole city knows who you are, Mr. Joseph. It’s a privilege to have you here, cut the crap and leave.”

They both knew it was convenient for Joseph to work here, but he wouldn’t stay long. Joseph Beckham, the only grandson of old Master Beckham, the only legitimate successor to the ST Group, would inherit the wealth and power again sooner or later.

However, working here was Joseph’s own idea.

It was killing two birds with one stone. With the position he was in now, Joseph would have access to the Downey’s ledgers to fix their financial problems if there were any. And when the news reached Harrison, he could rest easy knowing his grandson was working with his girlfriend. Joseph would soon be back at the ST Group.

At Beckham Manor, Harrison cracked an exquisite inkstone upon hearing the news.

“Son of a bitch! What is he thinking going to work for the Downey Group? He’d rather people laugh and humiliate me than ask for his forgiveness.”

“Sir.” In Joseph’s defense, Mark said, “He’s misunderstood Joseph. I kick him out, he has to do something to feed himself, he’s defending your honor by doing it. Do you know what people are saying out there?”

“What?” Harrison asked, his eyebrows raised slightly.

“They’re saying that you hate Joseph, and that you’d rather let an outsider take over your company than let Joseph have it. He knows Joseph, and a lot of people have held a grudge against him, but he never dared say anything. Now that he’s fallen, everyone is trying to stick the knife in his back.”

“Bastards.” Harrison pounded the table loudly. Strolling into his lair, he then demanded of Mark, “Mark, go get Joseph.
