“Stella?” Hayden was surprised, “Why did you wake up?”.

Stella ran to Hayden, but there was tiredness in her eyes.

“I’m so tired, but Mommy, I have something to tell you.”

“What is it?” Hayden felt funny, “You dreamed I was taking you to the amusement park and you want me to do the same thing if you’re awake?”

Stella twisted her lips, “No, this is much more serious.”

“What is it?”

“I was having lunch with Joseph today, he wanted Mr. Magnus to look for Noah’s mother, are you looking for her?”

Hayden was surprised. “What are you talking about?”

Stella was a child after all. She did her best to listen to the conversation, but she wasn’t able to memorize it all. Stella could only remember bits and pieces of what Joseph and Magnus said this afternoon. Stella thought it might be important and related to Hayden, so she reminded herself that she would tell Hayden after she got home.

However, Hayden came home late from work and Stella was already asleep. Stella only woke up when she heard movement in the living room.

Hayden extrapolated what Joseph had asked Magnus after hearing what Stella had told him. Hayden became nervous, his fists clenched and his face paled.

Joseph was smart, and he would soon find out that Hayden was the girl he’d slept with six years ago. What should he do if Joseph found out she was Noah’s mother?

The sound of the water stopped.

Joseph’s hand wiped the steam from the mirror and the reflection of his face showed in it. Joseph dried his hair and stepped out of the bathroom.

The room was silent. The warm light from the night lamp was the only source of light in the room and the light made the room feel so cozy to sleep in.

Joseph had suffered from insomnia for many years. Other than when Hayden slept next to him, Joseph hardly got a good night’s sleep. That’s why he liked to stay in Hayden’s room.

It looked like Hayden was asleep. A lock of hair fell on the tip of his nose and flew with his breath.

Joseph opened the blanket and lay down on the bed, then caught Hayden in his arms.

“There’s no way he’s going to throw me out now.”

Joseph felt movement in his arm. Hayden was awake.

Joseph lowered his head, saw Hayden’s narrowed eyes with a hint of tiredness and confusion. He looked as innocent as a rabbit.

Joseph kissed Hayden on the forehead and whispered, “Go back to sleep, we’ll sleep like this tonight. I can’t sleep outside.”

Hayden reached out his hands and hugged Joseph’s waist. His legs touched Joseph’s as he moved.

Joseph was stunned. His voice sounded rough, “Hayden, stop moving.”

Hayden was a little confused. He continued to adjust his posture in Joseph’s arms and mumbled, “What, I’m not comfortable, I need to change my posture.”

The laziness in Hayden’s voice triggered the beast in Joseph’s heart. The next second, Joseph was already on top of Hayden.

Hayden was startled, and his drowsiness left. He quickly acted normally, “What are you doing?”

“Leave it.” Joseph lay on top of Hayden, “You seduced me first.”

Hayden could feel his breath on her neck and was stunned, she tried to push Joseph away, “I didn’t…”.

Joseph loved the way Hayden looked shy. He could no longer control the beast in his heart. He kissed Hayden and stopped him from explaining himself, his hands controlling his body and soul.

They both surrendered to the moment of love and lust.
