Because you are not her
“I just wanted to have a good chat with you,” Emilia began, “Jayden, we’ve known each other for so long, but you’ve never touched me. Even when we dated, the farthest we’ve gone is with the kiss. Why? Am I not attractive? In what way am I inferior to that cheap woman?” By the end of her sentence, her voice was tinged with a sense of longing and resentment.
She really could not understand.
In terms of appearance, she looked better than Nina. Thanks to advanced technology, even her sexy figure outshined most models. She also came from a prestigious family and was a winner in life.
She had assumed that after separating him and Nina, she could have Jayden back in her life.
But, over the past six months, he had kept his distance from her, preventing her from getting close to him. While it may have appeared to the outside world that they had reconciled, only she knew the truth.
If only he had been obedient and stayed with her, she wouldn’t have resorted to extreme measures.
Jayden’s gaze held a fiery intensity as he glared at Emilia.
Emilia thought this drug was indeed useful.
Looking at his burning gaze on her own body, she felt the heat spread between her legs. She wanted to become his woman so badly!
Pressing onto his body, she opened her mouth to kiss his lips, but he evaded it.
Jayden shook his head, struggling to wake himself up.
He summoned his willpower and swiftly rolled out of bed. His legs were still weak and nearly caused him to lose his balance.
Emilia was stunned, not expecting him to resist even after being drugged.
But she wasn’t discouraged.
Walking towards him, she reached out and removed his coat. When her fingers brushed against his muscular chest, a jolt of electrifying sensation coursed through her.
It felt so good to touch.
Just the thought of riding his body made her lower part wet.
In fact, in the past few months, whenever she felt h***y, she would play the recording and mas*****e to his voice.
That one time, Jayden had answered her call while having s** with that bi***. Emilia’s phone was on the auto-recording function and captured his sexual moans.
Jayden’s body burned, and his thoughts were in turmoil. In a hazy state, he pushed Emilia away and turned his back on her.
However, Emilia was relentless.
She swiftly approached him and hugged him from behind, pleading, “Jayden, look at me. Don’t you feel like touching me?”
As the drug continued to take its effect, Jayden’s body stiffened, and he gritted his teeth in frustration. With a forceful movement, he flung her away. “Get lost.”
Emilia sneered in contempt. “Jayden, it’s useless to resist. The drug won’t wear out until you’ve had sex several times.”
The veins on Jayden’s forehead throbbed and he clenched his teeth. The overwhelming sensations made him feel like he was on the verge of exploding. The pain he was experiencing was so intense, that he almost considered relenting.
“Emilia Moore, I’ll f*****g kill you once I’m out of here,” he uttered a chilling warning through gritted teeth.
“I don’t mind, Jayden. Even if I have to die, I’m willing to die as your woman.”
Emilia slowly knelt and unbuckled his belt.
She was on her knees while he stood straight. She was confident that from this position, he wouldn’t be able to resist.
Just as the belt unbuckled, a sudden and powerful kick landed on Emilia, sending her flying across the room.
Seizing the moment, Jayden picked up a wine bottle and snapped it into two. He held the broken part and slashed it across his palm.
As blood dripped from his hand, Jayden regained some clarity. He discarded the broken bottle and departed the room.
Watching him leave, Emilia struggled to sit. “W-Why? Why won’t you sleep with me?” she asked, her voice trembling.
Jayden glanced over his shoulder, his demeanour becoming dark and cold. “Because you are not her.”
—
On a quiet and solitary night, a car raced through the empty streets, ignoring multiple red lights.
The bell rang, and a figure answered the door.
The moment the door swung open, Jayden’s heavy body stumbled forward and landed on Nina.
Shocked, Nina staggered backward as she tried to support him. “What are you doing?”
Jayden breathed heavily as he explained. “I was drugged.”
Nina’s shock deepened upon hearing his words.
She could not understand who was brazen enough to drug him. She mustered the strength to get him inside and placed him on the couch.
However, Jayden clung to her tightly. As he collapsed onto the couch, he pulled her down with him, and they both slumped onto the couch.
“Help me.” Jayden leaned in, his desperation evident, as he bit her neck.
“Why should I? Go and f*** whoever drugged you.” Nina pushed him away, not letting him have his way.
“It was Emilia,” he confessed.
Hearing her name, Nina wasn’t surprised. “Not my problem. Didn’t you claim she had no ulterior motives toward you? What happened now?”
“Are we really going to talk about this now?” Jayden’s face was flushed, and his voice held a hint of urgency and desire. His grip on Nina’s skirt was so tight that it caused the veins in his forearm to burst.
Nina thought for a moment and pulled Jayden to his feet, dragging him into the bathroom. She made him stand under the showerhead and turned on the cold water.
With a stern expression, she said. “If you want to, do it yourself. I’m not a f**kdoll you would bed as you pleased.”
She had had enough of his overbearing attitude. She would no longer let him control her as he wished.
Leaving him behind, she resumed her chores and let him deal with the aftermath of the drug himself.
Fifteen minutes passed.
When she heard no noise from the bathroom, Nina decided to check on him. She knocked on the bathroom door and inquired, “Are you done?”
There was no answer from inside.
Nina’s worry grew. She banged on the door and called out again, “Hey, are you done?”
Having met with no response, she turned the doorknob and entered the bathroom. But what she saw inside made her scream in shock.
Jayden was unconscious on the bathroom floor while the water continued to drench his body.
“Jayden!”
Nina quickly rushed to his side and turned off the shower.
Kneeling beside him, she touched his face, which had taken on an unhealthy shade of red. His body was ridiculously hot and almost burned her.
With great effort, Nina pulled Jayden from the bathroom and guided him into her bedroom.
After laying him down on the bed, she observed his unconscious state, and her face paled.
If something were to happen to him, she could never forgive herself.
Nina contemplated changing his clothes before waking him up.
As she unbuttoned his shirt, Jayden instinctively reached out and grabbed her hand. He believed he was hallucinating, seeing her as Emilia, and had an impulse to push her away.
“It’s me.” Nina’s soft voice reached his ears as she ran her fingers through his hair. It was a gesture she always made whenever they slept.
Jayden slowly opened his eyes, and his vision gradually cleared to reveal a blurry silhouette in front of him. He recognized the scent that surrounded him, a fragrance that was uniquely hers, and one that he could never forget.
As his eyes moved over Nina, tracing her lips, collarbones, and bosom, his heartbeat quickened.
“You-” Before Nina could speak, he flipped her over and pressed her beneath him
Nina recognized the urgency of the situation and the turmoil Jayden was going through. She had firsthand experienced the drug and understood how unbearable it could be.
Raising her arm, she rubbed his back. “It’s okay. You’ll be fine”
Jayden’s eyes were bloodshot, and he licked his lips, feeling a dryness in his throat. Staring into her amber eyes, he lowered his head and captured her lips.

The next day, Nina was awakened by the gnawing hunger in her stomach. As she got out of bed, she realized that it was already four in the afternoon.
Just as she reached for her phone to order some food, her eyes landed on a sticky note attached to it.
“Thanks for the night, baby. I know you still care about me. In order to repay you, I’ve decided to entrust my life to you.
Leaving early coz I have to settle scores with someone. There’s food in the refrigerator. Heat it before eating.
– Jay.”
The note read.
Nina sighed and placed the note on the nightstand before taking a shower.
—
The doorbell rang again.
Dressed in her PJs, Nina answered the door and was surprised to find Tyler.
“Hey, What’s up?” she asked, stepping aside to let him in.
Tyler followed her inside and took a deep breath, the concern on his face evident. “I tried calling you all morning, but you didn’t answer. I was getting worried, so I decided to check on you.”
Only then did it dawn on Nina.
“Oh, I’m sorry. I had my phone on silent mode and I didn’t notice the calls. Sorry for making you worry.”
Tyler was relieved to hear that there was no cause for alarm. “It’s alright, Just wanted to make sure you were okay.”
“Would you mind waiting for a moment? I’ll quickly blow dry my hair.” With a thankful smile, Nina excused herself.
Tyler nodded, making himself comfortable on the couch.
As he settled in, he caught something from the corner of his eye. It was a watch, partially concealed between the couch cushions.
Curious, he picked it up and examined it closely.
It was none other than The Rolex Daytona, one of the most iconic and expensive watches in the world.
Only two of these watches existed in the whole world. One belonged to a wealthy merchant in the Middle East and the other…
Jayden Luxton.
As he fiddled with the watch, a thought crossed his mind.
Looking up, he asked Nina who emerged from her room, “Was Jayden here?”
Nina was caught off guard by Tyler’s sudden question. “J-Jayden? Why would he be here?” she quickly denied, her voice slightly trembling.
Tyler couldn’t help but smile bitterly as he waved the Rolex Daytona in front of her.
