Chapter 707 A Family Reunion
Upon recognizing it was Xander, the high alert in Cayden's heart eased slightly. “How did you get here?” Cayden asked.
“Just passing by and couldn't help but lend a hand,” Xander joked. Suddenly, his handsome brows furrowed slightly, his gaze falling on Cayden's injured arm. A hint of concern appeared in his tone. “How is it? Not too badly hurt, I hope?”
Cayden sneered coldly, “I'm not dying just yet.”
He knew his buddies cared in a different way than others. Sometimes they seemed to take pleasure in his misfortune, but deep down, they were genuinely concerned.
Perhaps that was the unique bond between men.
“Tsk, tsk! I knew you were a tough one to kill. Even that massive explosion couldn't take you down, so what could these useless small fries possibly do to you? However, how did you become so pale? You didn't use any skin whitening injections, did you? Tell me your secret, I'm really curious...” Xander walked up to Cayden, his slender finger poised to lift his chin, his tone overly dramatic.
Cayden barely dodged Xander's menacing grasp, his gaze as sharp as a hawk's, making Xander's scalp tingle. “Want to know how I keep my skin so fair?”
Xander nodded blankly. Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.
It was no wonder he was curious, as Cayden's feminine attire was truly breathtaking.
He couldn't fathom how a rough, tough man could transform into a delicate, beautiful woman.
Pointing in a certain direction, Cayden then began to tend to his own wounds without further ado.
“What the hell? What am I supposed to be looking at? Is there a plastic surgery clinic or something?” Xander's gaze followed the direction of his finger. Apart from a few scattered shops, there was nothing else in sight.
Cayden paid no attention to his ramblings.
He treated the wound with impressive speed, quickly bandaging it up. “Let's go!” he said.
The man strode confidently toward the parking lot, leaving Xander still engrossed in wandering around the logos of various stores.
As his gaze fell on a brand named “Myka,” Xander's eyes narrowed slightly. It seemed that the direction Cayden had just pointed to was that. As if he had thought of something, the corners of his lips lifted in an incredulous smile. D*mn! Could Cayden have made himself so pale using flour? If it's true, then that man is simply a genius. I'm thoroughly impressed!
The ceiling soars high above, adorned with brilliantly gilded wallpaper. Warm lotus wall lamps cast a gentle, shimmering glow.
A delicate woman was sound asleep on the enormous bed draped with white gauze curtains, cradling a baby as exquisite as a finely carved piece of emerald.
When Cayden silently opened the door, he was greeted with such a beautiful scene.
The dim yellow light illuminated the faces of the mother and child, one big and one small, on the bed.
His gaze fell on Avery's face with intense desire, his large hand caressing her delicate skin.
It had been over two years, yet she remained as gentle and beautiful as ever, though she seemed to have lost quite a bit of weight compared to before.
And the baby next to her, undoubtedly their son Cal, was indeed a spitting image of him. The little face was almost identical to his, and at that moment, he was comfortably nestled in Avery's arms, sound asleep.
That was the first time Cayden had seen their third baby. Aside from the initial excitement, his attention was primarily focused on Avery.
He gently moved Cal from her embrace to the side, gazing fondly at her small face.
In her slumber, Avery's face was serene. Her long, curled eyelashes occasionally fluttered and trembled like two butterflies flickering their wings, drawing him in to gather their beauty.
“Um... Cayden...”
Suddenly, Avery murmured something in her sleep, her cheeks flushing slightly, leaving one to wonder what she was dreaming about.
And her soft whispers, undoubtedly, were the strongest catalyst, fueling all of Cayden's longing for her.
He shed his coat and rolled into bed.
Avery dreamt of Cayden again. Just as she was immersed in the sweet dream, suddenly, a heavy object carrying a chill pressed down on her, shattering her beautiful dream into pieces.
Her lips suddenly throbbed with pain, as if something had bitten them.
Avery wanted to open her mouth, but it seemed a moist tongue had slipped into it, hooking onto her own, stirring vigorously within.
Avery was utterly stunned.
She hastily opened her eyes, and the moment she did, she met a pair of eyes brimming with unlimited warmth and affection.
“C-Cayden?”
Avery's eyes widened in disbelief. At that moment, she wanted to scream. Her eyes were brimming with tears. “Is it really you? Is it truly you? Am I still dreaming?”
Cayden placed her hand on his face, gently saying, “It's me, silly girl. You're not dreaming. Feel my face. Can you sense my presence?”
Feeling his warmth distinctly, Avery looked at Cayden's handsome face in a daze, murmuring, “So, I'm not dreaming, you really came back... Where have you been? Do you know how much I missed you? I feel like I'm going crazy...”
His eyes were still as dark as ever, filled with the familiar infinite tenderness she knew so well; his lips were still as thin, carrying the familiar soft lines she was accustomed to.
The light from the wall lamp shone on his face, brilliantly illuminating his unparalleled handsome features.
Cayden gently brushed aside Avery's delicate bangs, planting a kiss on her forehead. He gazed at her face with infatuation. “I'm sorry for making you wait so long. I'm back now, and I will never leave you alone again.”
He held her tightly as if trying to embed her into his bones. “Ery, I miss you so much...”
The man's burning lips began to trail down her neck, wild and unrestrained.
After more than two years of living a monk-like life of abstinence, he finally indulged himself. Like a young boy tasting forbidden fruit for the first time, he was utterly overwhelmed when his lust took over.
Avery, with eyes as bright and clear as ever, looked at him tearfully, her heart completely filled with excitement and emotion.
Under his flirtation, she quickly fell for him.
The clothes of the two were rapidly diminishing, immediately immersing themselves in the moment, even forgetting their beloved son was sleeping right next to them.
Just as Cayden was about to forge ahead, a fierce childish voice suddenly rang out from nowhere. “Bad guy, let go of my mommy!”
A rigid object was pressed against Cayden's waist.
Enduring the lethal pleasure, Cayden, with his godlike handsome face, turned toward the source of the sound. Looking down, he found it to be a realistic toy gun.
He glared menacingly at the audacious little rascal, his own son, who dared to interrupt him.
The incredibly beautiful baby saw his mother blushing as she was pinned under a stranger. Avery was crying, so Cal thought she was in pain.
He was so angry that his cheeks puffed up. He quickly pulled out his small pistol, aiming it at Cayden. “Let go of my mommy. You're not allowed to bully her. If you keep holding on to her, I'll shoot!”
Avery covered her eyes, feeling so embarrassed that she wished she could just disappear into a crack in the ground. Oh! After such a long-awaited reunion with my husband, I just wanted to share some intimate moments. Who would have thought we'd be caught in the act by our son? How utterly embarrassing!
