The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart

Chapter 753

Chapter 753

He hadn’t expected Brittany to go to such lengths for Kari, even going as far as exposing Natalie at her most vulnerable moment.

Brittany hesitated, uncertain of how to proceed.

Indeed, she had planned to reveal Natalie’s plot during the finals, but before she had the chance, Natalie was taken away.

Joseph, interpreting Brittany’s silence as agreement, turned on his heel and left.

Brittany stood there, momentarily stunned.

She hadn’t yet submitted her evidence. Who had submitted it on her behalf? Who was behind the leaked news that led to her arrest? Before Brittany could figure it out, she was whisked away to the victory party.

Kari won the championship, and the crowd erupted.

Being Kari’s boss, Brittany couldn’t have been more proud.

Midway through the party, news of Natalie’s plot to kidnap and harm another contestant topped Twitter’s trending list.

It even overshadowed Kari’s victory.

Clearly, someone was pushing this news from behind the scenes.

At the party, many believed that Brittany was responsible. Even Kari thought so. “Brittany, I never thought you’d turn against Joseph for me.”

“Kari, I didn’t do this.” Brittany shook her head. “I did plan to teach Natalie a lesson at the finals. But I didn’t even get the chance to do anything.” Kari’s face changed. “Then who did it?”

If it wasn’t Brittany, who else would stick up for her?

“Nathan?”

“That’s impossible. Nathan was with me all night. He didn’t have the time.”

Kari was at a loss.

Brittany placated her. “Tonight is your victory party. Enjoy your success.”

They would discuss the matter later.

Kari nodded and rejoined the crowd. This content belongs to Nô/velDra/ma.Org .

Brittany watched the transformed, shining Kari, feeling immensely proud. She took a sip of her drink and left the party.

The stadium was large, so the underground parking lot was eerily quiet.

Footsteps echoed around her, making Brittany feel inexplicably uneasy.

Suddenly, several black cars drove in.

She was surrounded.

The car door opened, and a group of black-clad bodyguards descended upon her.

Brittany stood frozen in place as she glared at them. “Who are you?”

Her car was a hundred meters away. There was no chance of escaping.

“Ms. Dustin, why don’t you come with us?”

The head bodyguard seemed familiar, but Brittany was severely outnumbered.

She got into the car without resisting.

As she climbed in, a pair of hands reached out to her. A chloroform-soaked cloth covered Brittany’s mouth and nose, and, within a few seconds, she was unconscious.

The black cars left in an orderly fashion, restoring the parking lot to its previous silence.

The victory party ended.

Kari, having had a few drinks, was slightly tipsy when Nathan arrived.

He was slightly annoyed to her sloshed from the alcohol.

He quickly walked over and steadied Kari. “Take it easy with the drinks.”

Recognizing him, Kari smiled. “Nathan.”

Nathan greeted the others and scooped Kari up in his arms, but his hand was a bit too forceful on her waist. “I’ll deal with you when we get home.” Kari mumbled something, but Nathan didn’t catch it.

He helped her into the car, buckled her seat belt, and, as if realizing something, Kari asked, “Where’s Brittany?”

“Ms. Dustin probably went home.” Nathan only had eyes for Karl. He kissed her lightly, , and she instinctively responded.

Their relationship was still in its honeymoon phase, and within minutes, their endless passion filled the air.

The atmosphere was charged with intimacy, and Nathan’s hand instinctively slipped under her clothes, lifting Kari onto his lap.

Kari couldn’t help but lean back. She was usually reserved, but not tonight. She eagerly reciprocated, wanting to share her joy with Nathan.
