The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart

Chapter 741

Chapter 741

Daniel was quickly sent to the hospital, Grace shivering all the way.

It was as if a gust of chilly wind had seeped into her bones, forcing her blood to freeze within her veins.

Daniel was quickly taken into the emergency room.

Emily’s heart was in her mouth. Just moments ago she was holding Daniel, the typically mischievous little muffin, who now seemed as if all life had been drained from him, looking utterly deflated. It was heart-wrenching.

“Grace, don’t worry. Daniel will be fine,” assured a nurse.

Grace trembled, “How could he have tripped?”

Daniel was usually well-behaved and had never had an accident. What could have caused him to trip today?

Emily was also puzzled. “Let’s wait for Daniel to come out first.”

“Should we inform Ms. Dustin?” Emily asked and hesitated.

If Brittany found out about Daniel’s injury, would she still allow Daniel to return to the Salter Mansion?

“Go and inform her.”

Brittany had just finished calming Zara when she received the phone call about Daniel’s hospitalization.

When she arrived at the hospital, Isaac had already arrived.

Seeing her arrival, Isaac quickly approached and grabbed her arm. “Daniel hasn’t come out yet. Don’t panic.”

“What happened?”

Brittany couldn’t figure out how Daniel could have tripped at home, let alone so unexpectedly.

“It’s unclear at the moment. Grandma and Emily were in the garden. Daniel may have slipped. Let’s wait for him to come out.”

Brittany knew her anxiety wouldn’t help. She managed to calm down and shrugged off Isaac’s hand. “I got it.”

She had rushed over, dressed lightly for the evening chill, her body trembling, not knowing whether from cold or fear.

Isaac took off his coat and draped it over her.

His familiar scent wafted up to her. Brittany tried to shrug it off, but Isaac held her and said, “Don’t move.”

Unable to break free, Brittany gave up.

She was cold, and the coat offered warmth. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

Isaac took a few calls, likely work-related, and walked to the end of the corridor, with an aura of chilliness surrounding him.

When Daniel finally came out, it was already midnight.

The doctor, familiar with Grace, reassured, “Grace, don’t worry. Daniel is out of danger.”

Grace let out a deep sigh of relief. That was all that mattered.

Daniel was transferred to a VIP ward. Seeing that Daniel was still unconscious, Brittany’s heart ached.

He had just been hospitalized a while ago, and now he was back in the hospital. The mere thought broke her heart. She wished she could take his place.

Grace was exhausted and Isaac asked her to go home with Emily. He decided to stay at the hospital.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t know this would happen,” Issac said to Brittany.

“It’s not your fault.” Brittany glanced at Isaac and asked, “Does the mansion have surveillance?”

“No.”

“Do you suspect that Daniel didn’t fall by himself?” asked Issac, frowning.

There were only a handful of people who had free access to the Salter Mansion.

Brittany looked at the red mark on Daniel’s face. She had examined it closely. It wasn’t caused by a fall, It was pinched.

Clearly, someone else was present before Daniel fell.

“Once Daniel is discharged, I’ll take him away.” Brittany massaged her temples and continued, “If you want to see him in the future, you can visit.”

She wouldn’t risk leaving Daniel with the Salter family anymore. She didn’t want to receive another phone call about Daniel being hurt.

Isaac knew he was at fault. “I will investigate this matter thoroughly.”
