The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart

Chapter 733

Chapter 733

Brittany hadn’t had a good night’s sleep. After a day of intense work, even she couldn’t withstand the exhaustion.

She took a two-hour break in her office, then changed into her gym gear and headed to the local fitness center.

At the gym, Brittany followed her trainer’s instructions and exercised for nearly two hours.

The buzz about the Crown Jewel Design Challenge was intense. Brittany had joined the judging panel, and to avoid any bias, she handed over all her studio work to the professionals. She had decided not to be involved in any studio matters until after the competition. She didn’t want to give people a

reason to talk.

After hours of exercise, Brittany was exhausted. When she got home, she hit the bed immediately.

She wasn’t sure how long she had slept when her phone started ringing non-stop. Brittany didn’t want to answer the call, so she covered her ears.

But the caller was relentless. It was as if they needed her response.

With a hint of annoyance, Brittany reached out from under the duvet, grabbed her phone, and answered, “Hello?”

“Ms. Dustin, you don’t sound well.” Her secretary lowered her voice, “It’s already afternoon, and you haven’t shown up at the office. Are you unwell?”

Brittany, a typical workaholic, hadn’t made it to the office that late. That was a first for the year.

Brittany realized she had overslept, “Sorry, I overslept.”

“That’s all right, Ms. Dustin. There’s nothing urgent at the office today. Why don’t you rest at home?”

Brittany had been working non-stop lately. She could use a rest.

“Okay, call me if anything comes up.”

After the call, Brittany lay in bed for another hour before finally getting up.

The nanny was out picking up Daniel.

She hadn’t eaten all day, and her stomach was empty. Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

She walked into the kitchen and made herself a bowl of chicken soup and pasta. Once she was full, she headed to the garden, lay down on the hammock, and closed her eyes to rest.

Just as she lay down, she received a call from the Salter family.

“Ms. Dustin, the old Mrs. Salter has been hospitalized. Could you bring Daniel over for a visit?”

Emily’s voice was a bit hoarse. She had probably been crying.

Brittany got up from the hammock, “Hospitalized?”

“Yes, Leda came over to the old house and upset Mrs. Salter.” Emily pleaded, “She really wants to see Daniel. Could you bring him over?”

Emily hadn’t expected Leda to push Grace to that point.

Brittany no longer felt like resting. She stood up and replied, “Understood.”

Worried about Grace’s health, Brittany picked up Daniel from kindergarten.

‘Mom, where are we going?” Daniel, seated in the backseat, was puzzled. Why had his mom picked him up during school hours?

“Great-granny Grace is unwell and is at the hospital. I’m taking you to see her.” Brittany pinched his nose, “You have to be a good boy and keep her company, okay?”

Upon hearing that Grace was in the hospital, Daniel was worried, “Okay, mom. I will behave.”

Brittany started the car and headed to the hospital. She stopped at a fruit stall nearby and bought some fruits and a large bouquet of flowers. “Mom, give me the flowers.” Daniel stretched out his hands, his face determined, “I’m a big boy, I can help.”

Brittany couldn’t help but smile, handing the flowers over, “Okay.”

Carrying the flowers, Daniel followed Brittany into the hospital.

It wasn’t Brittany’s first time at that hospital, so she knew her way around.

Arriving at the VIP ward, she immediately spotted Emily, who was stationed near the elevator.

“Ms. Dustin.

Emily’s clothes were creased and dirty. She probably hadn’t had a chance to change since Grace got hospitalized. “Granny Emily.
