The Alpha’s Little Luna

I Want Her

Alpha Glary’s POV

After my failed attempt to date Mercedes, I moved under the radar for a few weeks.

I see her at school but don’t approach her. Alpha Zane is also in the pack more often, I can’t believe my father gave him an unconditional free pass. I see them everywhere together, dining in our expensive restaurants, on the beach in her tiny bikini, and a few days ago, there was an entrepreneur fair where they walked hand in hand. Mercedes always has her hand on the Alpha’s body and sometimes, she even has his sweater on.

How I long to have a mate like her so attached to me.Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.

It’s the end of the school day, I walk to the school’s parking lot and watch from a distance Mercedes running toward Alpha Zane’s brand-new Land Rover Sport. The ripped black jeans fit like a glove around her tight ass and as her jacket slides down, her muscular, strong shoulders are exposed.

The Alpha gets out with a large bunch of flowers and a box of white chocolates for her. When he hands her the presents, she flies around his neck and kisses him wild.

He always picks her up from school when he arrives in Silver Moon, mainly on the weekends. Sometimes I feel like he’s trying to discourage potential rivals from having any delusions about his mate. It’s almost personal, like I’m his target.

Mercedes has undoubtedly told him about our conversations and that I am deeply interested in her. All his show-ups are about demonstrating to me that she only loves him.

I slow down my steps to avoid meeting them in the parking lot. My car is not far from where the Alpha parked his. If we meet, I am forced to greet him amicably as a token of the good relationship between our packs. But I don’t feel like those fake exchanges now, my heart burns with hatred for this man. He owns what I want for me and I have no intention of getting close to seeing Mercedes clinging to him.

It’s the weekend and tomorrow, there’s a reunion party at Clarita’s home. I’m sure Mercedes will be there too since Clarita is her best friend. She usually goes to the parties without her mate, he drops her off and picks her up again to hang out in one of the clubs. Alpha Zane has some friends in Silver Moon he only meets when Mercedes has to be elsewhere.

But the men really like him, a few are even warriors. I’ll have to talk to my dad about this, warriors aren’t supposed to be casual with high rankings from other packs. This can set precedents if they have to act against the same people in case of war.

When I reach my car, I lean against it with my phone in hand for a while. The Alpha and Mercedes are long gone so I can stand there undisturbed for some time. When I check my social media accounts, the first thing I see are pictures of Mercedes in my newsfeed. She shows off her present from the Alpha, an expensive jewelry set he brought when he came back from a business trip a few weeks ago.

And then pictures of them in each other’s arms on the beach. His arms are around her possessively as she shoves her face against his. On Instagram, she uploaded a number of photos of the Alpha with captions claiming her unconditional love for him. She boasts that they’ve been together for six years and their love only grows, she can’t live without him and her heart belongs only to him, and other chit chat nonsense.

The acid from my stomach rises to my mouth. I can barely breathe from all the pictures Mercedes posted of the Alpha.

This is when I know I have yet to make an effort to convince her I’m not as bad a guy as she thinks. Maybe I should instead get into her circle of friends and then strike decisively at her eighteenth birthday. So far, my endeavors have been fruitless and she does not assume to leave the Alpha’s side any time soon. I believe this is my best option. As her friend, I can prove myself loyal to her, slowly winning her over. Tomorrow night I will make my debut as her best friend. I can’t wait.

Before driving home, I pass by a fast-food restaurant to meet some friends.

“Glary, man, what’s up?” asked the Gamma’s son Elric. After a bump fist, I slide to his table. “Are you going to Clarita’s party tomorrow?” he asks. “I hear it’s going to be lavish. She has bought so much booze, I wonder if her parents are wealthy enough to afford that,” he noted. My eyes dash to my friend, him staring at me with raised eyebrows, waiting for my reply.

“And she has no mate like Mercedes, an Alpha and rich like hell. How did she pay for all this?” he asked suspiciously.

Interesting.

Is my father sponsoring Clarita? That wouldn’t surprise me, but I know he deals with several sluts in the pack. So, Clarita seems to be his favorite because there’s no way her working parents can afford an expensive party.

Just when I open my mouth to answer him, we see Alpha Zane’s striking car passing through the window. Almost everyone in the restaurant runs to the glass window to admire his ride.

“Waw, that Alpha woos his mate in style. This weekend he picked her up in his expensive car. Have you seen her Instagram account?” I heard a she-wolf remark with admiration. “Mercedes only posts photos of her mate. He spoils her unbelievably, they clearly love each other a lot”.

The whole restaurant was buzzing about the Alpha and Mercedes as I stared ahead, burning with envy. This can’t go on, the jealousy is eating me inside. Just as I think of leaving the place, I feel a hand on my shoulder.

“Are you okay, Glary?” When I looked up, I saw Saphira staring at me concerned. Her eyes revealed she understood what’s going through my mind.

“You really have to get over it. You’re four years older than her, attending her classes like an overaged schoolboy and feeling bad when she’s with her mate,” Saphira chided me. “It can’t go on like this, Glary.”

She tells me nothing new, but it’s not done as easily as she speaks. I am the Alpha’s son of this pack and can choose any unmarked she-wolf as my mate.

And I want Mercedes…
