The Almighty Lord Caspian

Chapter 761 Eliminating a Threat to Society

Chapter 761 Eliminating a Threat to Society

After leaving the villa, Aria hailed a taxi.

The taxi driver was a burly man in his 30s. He eyed Aria up and down as soon as she got into the car.

It wasn't common for a seductive lady to get into his car at this hour, heading to a remote place like

Lunar Lake.

The driver smirked, showing a subtle hint of malice in his expression. He wondered why Aria was going

to the lake.

Seeing Aria's attractiveness, he couldn't resist his desires. He planned to drop her off and assault her

then.

Aria had only heard of Lunar Lake but had never been there. As a member of Task Force Rose, she

wasn't worried about any potential mishaps.

Initially, the driver followed the navigation, but as they neared the lake, he suddenly veered off course.

"Why are we deviating from the route?" Aria asked cautiously.

"I know a shortcut. It'll save you some money this way," the driver replied.

Aria nodded without saying much. After all, she wasn't worried that the driver would harm her. She

would surely teach him a lesson if he dared to make any inappropriate advances.

The driver was very familiar with the area. He knew there was a meadow near Lunar Lake, where there

weren't many people, so he planned to take Aria there and force himself on her.

As they continued their journey, Aria noticed the route becoming increasingly isolated, with even the

streetlights disappearing.

"Is this the way to Lunar Lake?" Aria asked.

"Yes, this is the shortcut," the driver replied.

Hearing that, Aria didn't say much. After all, she wasn't familiar with this place.

The driver, seeing her lack of suspicion, felt triumphant. He stopped the car in a deserted area, then

leered at Aria with ill intentions.

"Why did you stop? This place doesn't seem like Lunar Lake," Aria asked.

"Darling, why are you going to Lunar Lake at this hour? Why don't we do something exciting together

instead?" The driver smirked.

At once, Aria understood what was happening.

This driver had probably done similar things before. However, since he met her today, he was about to

regret it.

"What kind of exciting thing do you want to do?" Aria asked coldly.

"Don't play dumb. Some intimate time together, of course. My car has enough space for us to have

fun." The driver grinned wickedly.

"If you don't want to get beaten up, you'd better start driving me to Lunar Lake. Otherwise, I'll make

sure you regret it." Feeling anxious to reach her destination, Aria didn't want to waste any more time.

"Don't try to scare me, darling. Trust me. I'll be gentle." The driver dismissed Aria's warnings, thinking

she was bluffing.

"It seems like you have a death wish," Aria retorted sharply.

"Come on, darling!" the driver exclaimed excitedly. He thought he had hit the jackpot with such a

stunning woman for the first time in his taxi driver career.

Aria had considered getting out of the car but realized the door was locked.

"Want to leave? That's not happening. Come on. Satisfy me." The driver suddenly pulled out a dagger

and pointed it at Aria.

Aria was about to teach him a lesson when her phone rang unexpectedly.

"Wait. I need to take this call," Aria said.

"I can let you take the call, but if you tell anyone about this, don't blame me for being ruthless," the This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

driver warned.

Aria didn't reply and answered the call instead.

"Yes, Lord Caspian?" Aria asked.

"How's it going over there?" Caspian, anxious at the villa, called to check-in.

"I'm in a taxi right now, but this despicable driver has taken me to the middle of nowhere," Aria vented

out her frustration.

Hearing Aria's words, the driver exploded with anger. He widened his eyes and threatened softly, "Are

you tired of living?"

Aria remained unfazed by the driver's threats. She was confident she could handle him with ease.

"Really? What's the driver doing?" Caspian asked, puzzled.

"He wants to assault me," Aria replied.

"What the fuck? Does he have a death wish?" Caspian exclaimed angrily. "There's no need to be polite

with scum like that. Just get him."

"Do I need to call the police?" Aria asked.

"No need. Kill him to stop him from harming other female passengers again. I'll take care of the

consequences for you," Caspian said.

Even though Caspian no longer held an official position, his words still carried weight. Joey would still

show him some respect.

"Got it, Lord Caspian," Aria said before hanging up the phone.

The driver hadn't expected Aria to spill the beans about her ordeal. Now, he was furious and wanted to

assault Aria right then and there.

He even thought that she had been spouting nonsense earlier. How could she possibly know Caspian?

"I told you not to tell anyone. Do you want to die?" the driver said fiercely.

"The one about to die is you," Aria retorted coldly.

"Stop with the big talk. Do you think your words from earlier can scare me?" The driver sneered.

He believed Aria had been putting on an act earlier to try to intimidate him.

"Oh? Then, I'll give you a chance. If you can't kill me in one stab, you'll meet a gruesome end," Aria

said.

The driver boiled with rage at her words. He raised the dagger in his hand and lunged at Aria.

Before the driver could comprehend what was happening, his throat had been slit.

Blood gushed from his neck, and he didn't even have time to realize what had happened.

After that, Aria tossed the driver's body out and drove the taxi herself, heading toward Lunar Lake.

Meanwhile, Tom had already arrived near Lunar Lake.

Tom felt that something was off about the atmosphere here. But for the sake of saving Miranda, he

couldn't afford to overthink it.

Soon, Tom arrived at the lake.

Though the lake had dried up long ago, the area was still somewhat misty under the moonlight.

Upon seeing a cave next to the lake, Tom ventured inside.
