Suddenly Married

Chapter 16 Flirt

“Come with us. I know your reason is because you are already married,” she replied and the other one nodded.

“Your husband is your reason. But why is your husband enjoying? Loosen up a bit.”

The little smile disappeared from my lips. It was as if they were interfering too much with my life. Macy stopped them. But they just shook their heads.RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

“It’s true. She lets his husband go to the bar. She doesn’t know-hmm!”

Macy covered her mouth.

“Sorry. Your life is not our business. Just let them go,” Macy apologized. But no.

Because of what they said, I felt so strange in my system. I took a deep breath and ignored them.

I exited the classroom and went straight to the benches where Kian was always waiting for me. I saw him sitting there with Jewel. From here I could see Kian’s dark face. It seems to me he’s holding back his anger. What are they talking about?

I cleared my throat a few meters away from them so they would know I was coming. Kian immediately stood up when he saw me. He hugged me and immediately pulled me to the parking lot. I was silent until we got home.

I was waiting for him to explain about last night. I want him to tell me why he comes home late. But until we ate dinner he said nothing. All he’s telling me is his plans to date me over the weekend. I need to review it. And he also needed to review, so I said no.

“O-Okay.”

When the night comes he’s asking me for sex but I refuse. My head hurts and I’m not in the mood. Especially since he doesn’t give me the explanation I wanted. He hugged me and said it was okay. He massaged my head until I fell asleep.

I woke up around nine-thirty. I saw him still awake and focused on his cellphone. I hugged him and it pulled me back to sleep.

I woke up again and it was still dawn because I want to urinate. Before I went back to bed I looked at Kian’s cellphone that was charging. I opened it and immediately looked in his inbox. It’s clean. Only our conversations and his parents were there. Not even with his friends.

The call log was clean too. I looked at his blocked messages and almost gasped for breath when I saw a number there with three messages. I realize that it was from Jewel.

“How about I tell your wife about it?”

“Tomorrow.”

“Muah!”

I looked at Kian. It was as if I wanted to slap him while he was asleep. I can’t sleep back. I also can’t understand how I feel right now. I left the room and went to the living room. I sat down on the sofa.

What does that message from Jewel mean? I didn’t sleep much on the sofa I lay there until morning. I did not prepare breakfast. I took a shower and leave immediately.

Kian will take care of himself. I want to talk to this Jewel girl. Whatever her plan was. I’m sure she won’t succeed. I know what she’s trying to do. My husband is mine!

When I came to the university I sat down on one of the benches first. I will wait for that Jewel.

“Beth, you’re early today,” Macy approached me. I nodded and looked around.

“Are you okay?” she asked. Even though we’re not totally close, it’s as if she knows my attitude.

I picked up the mini cake I had bought earlier at the bakeshop outside the village for her. Her forehead furrowed.

“Happy birthday,” I said. She smiled sweetly.

“Thank you. I didn’t expect this.”

I just smiled. I watched her for a few seconds. Her face was serious.

“I may look like a person who doesn’t care and is stupid but I also have a feeling,” I said while looking at my feet.

“What should your friend say to me if you didn’t stop her from speaking yesterday?” I turned to her.

I could see the ripple of his throat at what I said.

“I know I am so distant from everyone. But, I want you to know that you are the only person that I can call my friend here.”

“Beth,” she sighed. “We saw Kian at the bar with his friends. Then, Jewel and her friends show up. They sat there. You know what happens next. She tried to flirt with him. And even tried to kiss him.”

I nodded.

“And then he’s in a hurry to go home?” I added to what she was saying. She nodded.

I don’t know why I am not even surprised. But the fact that his friends lied to me made me feel bad. They said that the birthday party would be held at Raul’s house but it wasn’t. And Kian didn’t even explain it to me. I will not be angry. What we promised each other is that we should tell everything. No secrets. But why didn’t he tell me?

“Then the second time they’re at the bar again. Jewel is making a scene again.” She took a deep breath and I continued what she was saying.

“Did they kiss?”

She didn’t answer. So, they did kiss. Macy looks like he has a lot more to say but we saw Kian coming our way. His face was serious. He looks angry.

“A-All right, I’ll be in the room first,” Macy said goodbye and left immediately.

When Kian came across me he immediately hugged me. Contrary to my expectations.

“You didn’t wake me up,” he said.

“Ah… I went in first because I forgot something yesterday,” I lied. He nodded.

“You didn’t eat. Come on, let’s eat first. We still have less than twenty minutes,” he said.

We ate quietly because we needed to get to our own classes. As we exited the canteen we encountered exactly the reason why I come here early.

She smirks. I smirk back.

Just so you wait, later.
