Chapter 43
Chapter 43
Pearl leaned against the wall outside the bathroom and tried to stay as far away from the smelly Tina as possible so that she would not smell it..
Tina realized that she was lying on the toilet bowl. She frowned in disdain and
subconsciously wanted to get up. However, the moment Tina moved, she was numb. She felt that her legs were no longer hers.
“Ah…” Tina let out a low cry and lowered her eyes to look. She realized that her knees were swollen like bread, red and bruised.
The pain was sobering.
Some images began to rush into Tina’s mind.
Tina pointed at Pearl and complained.
Pearl lazily leaned against the door and watched Tina.
Emily came up with the bodyguards to escort Tina back to her room.
Tina was forced to kneel by the toilet.
Furthermore, Tina was suffering from vomiting and diarrhea, with two men tending to her throughout. No matter how much she cried or begged, they refused to let her get up.

Tina felt as if her entire world had collapsed. So, she really knelt by the toilet bowl for the entire night?
Tina could not help but look at Pearl. Her eyes were filled with deep indignation and fear.
What kind of vicious and crazy woman would do such a thing?
Pearl had slept well last night and was in a good mood. She was in the mood to clean up Tina now. Pearl leaned against the wall calmly and waited for Tina to slowly get up from the ground.
“It seems that you’ve regained your memory.”
Pearl stretched her sleeves and said coldly, “Then you should remember how you offended me last night.”
Offending her?
Pearl dared to claim that Tina had offended her?
Tina touched her swollen knee, massaged her stiff neck, and looked at her crumpled dress. She felt that she was in a terrible state.
Tina looked at the elegant and neat Pearl. This comparison was really heartbreaking.
Pearl seemed to be deliberately insulting Tina. She was also wearing blue today. She was wearing a light blue top and white straight pants. Her skin was so fair that it was eye- catching. For some reason, the picky blue looked so good on Pearl.
Tina really wanted to roll up her sleeves and beat Pearl up, but she could not beat Pearl at
all.
Tina also wanted to spit on Pearl’s face, but she didn’t dare.
In the past, when Pearl adored Tina very much, she did not think that Pearl was very powerful. However, now that the two of them had fallen out, Tina finally knew how ruthless Pearl was and how evil her methods were!
“What do you want? Do you want me to apologize?”
Tina’s eyes were filled with a fiery determination, and her entire demeanor exuded an aura of “don’t even think about it.”
Pearl rolled up her sleeves, revealing her fair and slender wrist. Pearl shook her head gently. “No. Compared to you apologizing against your conscience, I think physical punishment is more effective for you.”
Pearl raised her beautiful eyelids and stuck her hands in her pockets. She looked indescribably casual and elegant.
“I used to strongly disapprove of using punishment to make someone correct their
mistakes. I did indeed want to influence you with my words and actions, to change you.
But sometimes, I found that it wasn’t effective. For someone like you, who is unrepentant, perhaps only punishment can help correct your misguided thoughts and ensure you no longer make mistakes.”
Pearl said seriously, “Your parents divorced when you were young, and you didn’t learn well from your father. As your elder sister, from now on, you’re under my control.”
Tina chuckled. “You want to educate me? What right do you have?”
“Miss Pearl, it’s what you want.”
Emily went upstairs at the right time. Tina glanced at the thing in Emily’s hand and her eyes widened.
“You came at the right time. Thank you, Emily.”
Pearl reached out and took it. She raised the item in her hand at Tina. “Here, just this.”
Tina looked at Pearl in disbelief with a shocked expression:
Pearl had Emily prepare a small whip and established a set of one hundred family rules for Tina. If Tina broke any of these rules, she would be punished according to the family rules.
How Tina should be punished and how much she should be hit were clearly stated in the family rules.
“You’re crazy!”
Tina looked at the small whip, unable to fathom the pain it would inflict if used. “My parents never laid a hand on me from childhood to adulthood. Who do you think you are to hit me? What gives you the right?” she exclaimed.
Pearl remained composed. “I’ve said it before. If you want to stay with me, you must abide by my rules. The Woolery family has always been about discipline, from the youngest to the oldest. Your
dad and Uncle Errol were both raised under my father’s guidance. They did as he instructed without question. It’s the same for you with me,’ she explained.
Pearl asked the servants to place the family rules on the headboard of Tina’s room and paste them on the wall.
“There are a hundred family rules. With your intellect, I think two days should be enough.”
Pearl said, “Two days from now, I’ll come to check on your memorization progress. If you miss reciting even one rule, you’ll receive a lash. If you recite a rule incorrectly, you’ll still get a lash. And if you dare to utter profanity, you’ll be slapped. If you’re not afraid of getting punished, not afraid of the pain, go ahead and give it a try.”
Pearl instructed Emily, “Just like last night, have two people watch over her as she recites the family rules. If she doesn’t obey, give her some discipline.”
When Pearl left and two men in black came up, Tina was still in a daze.
Three minutes later, a shrill cry echoed throughout the villa. “Get up! Let me go! I don’t want to live here anymore! Pearl, you’re a demon!”
At eight o’clock in the morning, Pearl left the Rose Garden on time and headed for the corporation’s headquarters.
On the way, Pearl used her tablet to check the latest news, while multitasking by listening to the assistant to the CEO, Mason, reporting today’s schedule.
“The horse ranch’s business license and safety quality certification have both been processed, and all necessary hardware equipment is ready. We’re currently working on the landscaping. Would you like to visit today?”
Pearl nodded. “Sure. Make an appointment with Lucas and ask him if he is free. We will go take a visit together
“Okay.” Mason agreed and immediately contacted Lucas. After receiving a reply, Mason covered the receiver and said to Pearl, “Ms. Woolery, Mr. Parker said that he’s already waiting for you downstairs.”
Pearl frowned slightly. “He’s quite proactive. Then arrange the meeting until the afternoon. We’ll go to the horse ranch in the morning.”
“Yes,” Mason said a few more words to Lucas and hung up.
Pearl looked up information about the archaeological team in Laymein and asked Mason, “How are things going with Ralph and Errol?”
“I was just about to report to you.”
Mason fiddled with his phone and found a video. “This is the video taken by the person we sent. Please take a look.”
The moment the video was turned on, there was a commotion.
Pearl raised her gaze, and what met her eyes were numerous unremarkable–looking large stones. They didn’t have any striking features and appeared similar to ordinary quarry stones, yet they were marked with prices, ranging from hundreds to thousands, even tens of thousands.
The prospective buyers were all eager, their eyes filled with greed, shining brighter than the eyes of wolves in the night. They greedily stared at the stones, each one radiating a glint of desire, and their voices were constantly shouting out bids.
“Cut it! Cut it! This piece must be good material!”
The video was taken clandestinely, with the camera angled diagonally toward Ralph and Errol. However, the two of them were completely engrossed in their surroundings and didn’t notice anyone was filming them.
“Mr. Ralph and Mr. Errol have already bought a lot of stones and spent a lot of money, but they can’t stop at all. It’s as if they’ve been crazy.” Mason could not help but sigh.
Pearl smiled faintly and said, “It’s quite normal. When they first got into antiques, they had the same behavior. Like stray dogs on the street finding meat, regardless of whether it’s good or bad, they’d grab it with their mouths.”
Pearl’s eyes were filled with disdain. She remembered how her grandfather had scolded
them back then.
Pearl’s grandfather remarked, “You bastards, are you blind? You’re picking up a pile of junk and scrap metal to bring home? Not only are you blind in your eyes but also dumb in your heads, and you’re playing with antiques? Are you even worthy?”
Pearl shook her head and said to Mason, “Let them be. I don’t have the time to deal with
them yet. I will deal with the horse ranch first.”
After the video was played, they happened to arrive at Woolery Group.
Pearl stepped out of the car and, with her high–heeled shoes echoing through the lobby, entered the corporate building. To her surprise, she saw two people sitting on a sofa in the lobby.
Other than Lucas, there was another person.
Pearl narrowed her eyes dangerously. Wasn’t this the annoying person who snatched the bowls from her last night?
