Leyla let out a snort. She then leaned towards Eileen and whispered,

“Make sure you remember who these people are.”

“I will, Grandma,” Eileen replied with a slight nod.

“Eileen is no child. She’s more than capable of running the Vazquez Group. And if she makes the company suffer losses, you won’t be footing the bill!” Leyla’s confident declaration silenced the room.

Hearing Leyla say this, no one dared to speak further.

“Enjoy your meal, everyone. Then, we’ll all show this shameless couple the door,” Leyla said.

The servants then ushered everyone to their seats.

He had a point. Eileen wasn’t embarrassed anymore. She shot Bryan a look before starting to eat.

Maximo glanced around and then leaned in closer.

“You’re close to Conroy, aren’t you? Whose fault do you think this is? Conroy has dedicated two decades to the Vazquez family! And he has stayed even though Eileen isn’t his. He has been running things for the eldest daughter of the Vazquez family…”

Bryan raised an eyebrow.

“I believe you know very well why he has stayed with the Vazquez family all this time.”

“Mr. Dawson, I can’t accept that. Sure, Conroy has made mistakes, but everyone does. He’s not a saint, but he has never done anything truly bad!” Maximo said.
