Joseph nodded in agreement, though a part of him was filled with dread at the thought of confronting Britney again. As they made their way to Fanny's location, Joseph's mind raced with thoughts of how to explain himself and make things right.
Upon arriving, they found Fanny sitting by a window, lost in thought. She turned to face them, her expression a mix of relief and apprehension.
"Joseph... James... what are you doing here?" she asked, her voice wavering.
"We're here to take you home," Joseph said gently. "We didn't realize how much you were suffering. I'm so sorry, Fanny."
Fanny looked at him for a long moment before nodding. "I want to go home," she said quietly, "but what about Britney? She won't just let me leave."
"We'll handle Britney," James assured her. "You don't have to worry about her anymore. We'll make sure she doesn't cause you any more trouble."
With that, they helped Fanny gather her things and escorted her out. The journey back was filled with a sense of cautious hope, as they all knew that facing Britney was inevitable. But for now, they were united in their resolve to protect Fanny and ensure her safety.
