Serenity and Zachary York

Chapter 4044

Married At First Sight Chapter 4044

The old lady added, "Keep it simple. Just pack two sets of clothes to change into; we don't need anything else. The Johnsons have everything we might need.

Let's stay at their house for a while, and after that, I'll take you to Medicine Valley to visit the old doctor. I'm not sure if he's there, but if he isn't, he'll probably be over at FC Manor acting like a grandpa.

Seren's due date is still two weeks away. We'll be back before then."

The old lady had already planned the next two and a half months. They'd go out and have fun for two months, then come back and spend a quiet couple of weeks waiting for her promotion to grandmotherhood.

Rosella had no objections and let her mother-in-law take the lead.

So, she got up and returned to her residence to pack. While walking through the yard, she ran into Madisyn, who asked where she was headed. Rosella didn't hide the plan, and when Madisyn heard about it, she wanted to tag along.

As the old lady prepared to leave with her two daughters-in-law, Tania returned home just in time to catch them. Seeing her mother-in-law about to head out with Rosella and Madisyn, Tania immediately protested.noveldrama

She grabbed the old lady's hand and insisted on going too.

The old lady sighed, clearly exasperated, and glanced at Rosella twice, as if silently blaming her. Rosella could only smile awkwardly.

In the end, the four of them-mother-in-law and three daughters-in-law-left Wildridge Manor together.

When the old lady's three sons returned home, they found their wives had been whisked away by their mother. None of them had any idea where the women had gone. The brothers were left standing there, unsure whether to laugh or cry.

Liam, the eldest son, called Zachary to vent. "Zachary, your grandma has abducted your mom and your two aunts. No one knows where they went. I asked the butler, but even he doesn't have a clue.

Seriously? We're only gone for a few days, and she's already disappeared again. It used to be just your grandma sneaking off, but now she's got three partners in crime."

Zachary sighed. "Well, at least Serenity isn't at Wildridge Manor. Otherwise, Grandma might've taken her too."

He added, "Grandma's been cooped up at home for half a year. She probably needed a break. Just let her have her fun. She'll come back when she's had enough. Mom and my aunts rarely get to go out with her, so it's nice they're getting this time together."

Liam grumbled, "Fine, but why didn't she take me with her? It's not like one more person would've been too much. Your grandma's so biased. To her, daughters-in-law are like her own daughters, while sons are just accessories-like freebies you get when you recharge your phone.

When something good happens, she thinks of her daughters-in-law first, then her granddaughters-in-law, then the grandsons, and only finally us, her sons."

Zachary stifled a laugh. "Dad, if you're bored, why don't you ask Uncle Damon and Uncle Henry to go out with you? You three used to travel as couples, but this time you can go as brothers. It'll be a change of pace."

Liam snorted. "No way. Your uncles are no fun to travel with. We'd just end up bickering the whole time. I prefer going out with your mom. But now she's run off, leaving me all alone at home."

Zachary endured his father's complaints for half an hour before finally claiming he had work to do. Only after Zachary reassured him that Grandma would definitely return before Serenity's due date did Liam reluctantly end the call.

Despite all his grumbling, Zachary couldn't help but smile. His parents had been married for decades, but his father still got upset when his mother left him behind. He sounded like a heartbroken husband abandoned by his wife.

From another angle, it was clear how much his parents loved each other. Even after all these years, their relationship still burned with the passion of first love.

Zachary admired their bond and hoped that he and Serenity would share the same kind of love when they grew old together.

By then, they'd have a house full of children and grandchildren, and their lives would likely mirror Grandma's.

Grandma truly was the happiest old lady in the world.
