Chapter 972
Chapter 972:
Kellan twisted the neck of a man in black, snatching the gun from his hand.
Meanwhile, Allison had already shot and killed a sniper who had been lurking nearby.
“Alright, these guys aren’t very good. Looks like Daniel only sent some people to keep an eye on things, but he didn’t expect me to actually show up.”
After Allison said that, they immediately went their separate ways, back-to-back, diving into the fight.
Ten minutes later, the sound of gunfire finally faded.
Kellan wiped the blood from his fingers and pulled out his phone to call Sherman.
“Bring some men to the deserted island in Ontdale. We’ve got several bodies to take care of.”
“Yes.” Sherman, on the other end, was utterly shocked. That deserted island was so isolated. Why would Kellan be there? What was more, it looked like he’d taken out quite a few people.
Meanwhile, Allison carefully cleaned her dagger.
“I never imagined Daniel would hire such useless assassins. It looks like he’s no longer as powerful as before.” She tucked the dagger away.
“The key won’t matter, even if he gets his hands on it. My goal is to restore Hacker’s World; I just need to fix one troublesome program.”

“Did you find a way?” Kellan asked.
“Yeah, Amya’s on it. She’s really skilled with computers.” Just as Allison finished speaking, her phone rang.
It was Amya.
Could it be that Hacker’s World was making progress? Before Allison could ask, a loud rush of noises came through the phone.
“Ms. Clarke, I was wondering if I could borrow some money from you?” Amya’s voice trembled, fear evident in her tone. Allison could hear furniture crashing and a vase shattering in the background.
There were also screams and desperate cries from others.
“Yes,” Allison said, immediately tensing. “But you need to tell me, what’s going on?”
Amya’s voice cracked. She hadn’t expected Allison to agree to help so quickly without asking questions.
“Sorry to bother you. It’s a family issue. I need to borrow four hundred thousand right now.” Amya’s voice was thick with tears. “My parents took a loan from some loan sharks, and they came and took them. They want me to pay to get them back.”
Allison frowned. “Okay, calm down. I’ll send the money right away—”
Before she could finish, a loud scream cut her off.
It sounded like the phone had been grabbed roughly, and more noise filled the background, as if a fight was going on.
“Who is that?” a harsh, cocky voice barked from the phone. “We’re from Shadow Nine. Do you have any idea how much this woman owes us?”
