Chapter 3224 Entering The Underground City
Rulon, who prided himself on being an experienced judge of character, was surprised to find that he couldn't sense anything suspicious about Nathan.
The man's bravery and focus indicated that he was not an average person. Though he may have been hiding his true identity by wearing a mask, his tanned skin and normal-looking eyes were not like those of a vampire, which typically has pale skin and red eyes. Hence, Rulon concluded that Nathan wasn't a vampire.
Feeling intimidated by Nathan's demeanor, Rulon avoided eye contact and moved aside. He declared, "Since you're not a vampire, you may enter Nightfire Underground City. But I hope you're not harboring any evil intentions. Do not create any trouble inside, or you'll face the consequences."
Nathan flashed a smile. "All right. I'll take note of your advice."
He then walked past Rulon and his subordinates with Colin and Sevan tagging behind him.
Blossom was afraid that Nathan would end up in a physical altercation with Rulon.
When she noticed that Rulon wasn't going to interrogate Nathan any further, she felt relieved and quickly expressed her gratitude, "Thank you very much. I'll guide them into Nightfire Underground City now."
She deftly led Nathan and the others through the depths of the forest, and before long, they arrived at a towering cliff.
Hidden cameras had been installed in the area, so the guards were aware of their arrival and opened the secret entrance without delay.
As they approached, a tunnel less than two meters wide emerged before them.
Blossom ushered them into the tunnel.
Once they were inside the tunnel, the entrance smoothly closed behind them, blending seamlessly with the surrounding rock surface.
Rulon and his team waited until Nathan and the rest disappeared from sight before looking away.
One of his subordinates asked, "Boss, are we seriously allowing the strangers entry?"
Rulon patiently explained, "Although I sensed that they were dangerous, they are not vampires. Having a few skilled human elites among us may be a good thing."
His subordinates didn't share his sentiments. They shook their heads and replied, "Everyone who comes here claims to be elite."
Nathan and the rest finally arrived at Nightfire Underground City under Blossom's lead.
The passage to the underground city was lit up by flame-shaped lights, likely the reason why it was called Nightfire.
Upon reaching the end of the tunnel a few hundred meters later, they were greeted with a vast expanse of space, a grand hall that could easily rival a basketball court.
The area was buzzing with activity, with numerous counters being manned by employees attending to people lining up before them.
Guards were also seen patrolling the area to ensure security.
Blossom spoke in a hushed tone. "Welcome to Nightfire's main hall. Here, you can exchange your rewards for money. The exchange rate here is only seventy percent of what the Curia and other countries offer, but it's a quicker and more convenient process. That's why many bounty hunters come here to exchange their cores for money before heading to restaurants, motels, bars, casinos, and other entertainment venues to unwind."
Nathan answered, "Got it. This is a miniature society."
Blossom smiled. "Exactly. Sir, I have I dug out the cores of the vampires you defeated during our journey. è You'll be able to exchange them for a considerable reward here. I will go line up for the exchange now

Nathan nodded and set off to search for Wolfric and the others so they could reunite with each other.
As Nathan was about to leave, a
grating male voice rang in his ear. "Hey, isn't that the beautiful Blossom Helsing from Team Ant? I heard everyone else on your team died, but you managed to survive. Why don't you join my team, Team Darko? You can still get a share of the rewards without risking your life, as long as you satisfy me in bed. I've never been with an Aplothian before!"
Hearing that, Nathan knitted his brows and turned around to see a team of bounty hunters entering the main hall. Its leader was a foreigner bearing a frivolous expression. Blossom's cheeks flushed red in anger as she glared at the man. "Darko, watch your mouth," she warned icily.
Darko was about to speak when he noticed Nathan and the other two standing beside her.
Surprised, he blurted out, "I thought your team members died. Who are they? Did you already find new admirers that quickly?"
Darko scrutinized Nathan carefully. Nathan was wearing a mask that hid his facial features, but he could still sense Nathan's attractiveness and remarkable aura.
"Oh? He looks like a pretty boy," he remarked with an icy snort. "Why would you like a pretty boy? He might be good-looking, but he isn't capable at all. You're better off with me, Ms. Helsing."
